1 Samuel 2
1 My heart hath rejoiced in the Lord, and my horn is exalted in my God: my mouth is enlarged over my enemies: because I have joyed in thy salvation.
১হান্নাই প্ৰাৰ্থনা কৰিলে আৰু ক’লে, “মোৰ মনে যিহোৱাত আনন্দ কৰিছে; মোৰ শক্তি যিহোৱাত মোৰ গৰ্ব্ব হৈছে; শত্ৰুবোৰৰ আগত মই দৃঢ়তাৰে কথা ক’ব পৰা হৈছোঁ কাৰণ মই আপোনাৰ পৰিত্ৰাণত উল্লাসিত হৈছোঁ।
2 There is none holy as the Lord is: for there is no other beside thee, and there is none strong like our God.
২যিহোৱাৰ দৰে আন কোনো পবিত্ৰ নাই, কিয়নো আপোনাৰ বাহিৰে আন কোনো নাই; আমাৰ যিহোৱাৰ সদৃশ কোনো শিলা নাই।
3 Do not multiply to speak lofty things, boasting: let old matters depart from your mouth: for the Lord is a God of all knowledge, and to him are thoughts prepared.
৩তোমালোকে অহঙ্কাৰেৰে পুনৰ কথা নক’বা, তোমালোকৰ মুখৰ পৰা দৰ্পৰ কথা নোলাওক৷ কিয়নো যিহোৱা সৰ্ব্বজ্ঞানী ঈশ্বৰ হয়, তেওঁৰ দ্বাৰাই কাৰ্যবোৰ তৰ্জুত জোখা হয়।
4 The bow of the mighty is overcome, and the weak are girt with strength.
৪বীৰসকলৰ ধনু ভঙা হ’ল, উজুটি খোৱা সকলক বলৰূপ টঙালিৰে বন্ধা হ’ল।
5 They that were full before have hired out themselves for bread: and the hungry are filled, so that the barren hath borne many: and she that had many children is weakened.
৫তৃপ্ত হোৱাসকলে আহাৰৰ ববে কাম কৰিব লগা হ’ল, ভোকত থকা সকলৰ খাদ্যৰ অভাৱ নহ’ল৷ সন্তানহীনাই সাতোটা সন্তান প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে, অধিক সন্তান থকা জনী নিশকতীয়া হৈ গ’ল৷
6 The Lord killeth and maketh alive, he bringeth down to hell and bringeth back again. (Sheol h7585)
৬যিহোৱাই মৃত্যু আৰু জীৱন দান কৰে, তেওঁ চিয়োললৈ নমায় আৰু পুনৰায় তোলে৷ (Sheol h7585)
7 The Lord maketh poor and maketh rich, he humbleth and he exalteth.
৭যিহোৱাই দৰিদ্ৰও কৰে আৰু ধনীও কৰে, তেওঁ নম্ৰও কৰে আৰু ক্ষমতাও দান কৰে৷
8 He raiseth up the needy from the dust, and lifteth up the poor from the dunghill: that he may sit with princes, and hold the throne of glory. For the poles of the earth are the Lord’s, and upon them he hath set the world.
৮তেওঁ নিঃকিন অৱস্থাৰ পৰা দৰিদ্ৰক উন্নত কৰে, তেওঁ গোবৰৰ দ’মৰ পৰা দৰিদ্র জনক উঠায়৷ তেওঁলোকক প্ৰতাপী জনৰ সৈতে বহিবলৈ যোগ্য কৰে, উত্তৰাধিকাৰী সূত্ৰে সন্মানীয় স্থান প্ৰদান কৰে৷ কিয়নো পৃথিৱীৰ স্তম্ভবোৰ যিহোৱাৰেই, তেওঁ তাৰ ওপৰত জগতখন স্থাপন কৰিলে।
9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness, because no man shall prevail by his own strength.
৯তেওঁৰ বিশ্বস্ত লোকসকলৰ খোজ তেওঁ ৰক্ষা কৰিব, কিন্তু দুষ্টবোৰক আন্ধাৰত গুপুতে ৰাখিব৷ আৰু কোনো মানুহে নিজ বলেৰে জিকিব নোৱাৰিব।
10 The adversaries of the Lord shall fear him: and upon them shall he thunder in the heavens. The Lord shall judge the ends of the earth, and he shall give empire to his king, and shall exalt the horn of his Christ.
১০যিহোৱাৰ সৈতে প্ৰতিবাদ কৰা সকলক খণ্ড খণ্ড কৰা হ’ব, তেওঁ স্বৰ্গৰ পৰা সিহঁতৰ বিৰুদ্ধে বজ্ৰধ্ৱনি কৰিব। যিহোৱাই পৃথিৱীৰ অন্তলৈকে বিচাৰ কৰিব, তেৱেঁই তেওঁৰ ৰজাক শক্তি দিব, আৰু নিজ অভিষিক্ত জনক উচ্চস্থানলৈ নিব।”
11 And Elcana went to Ramatha, to his house: but the child ministered in the sight of the Lord before the face of Heli the priest.
১১তাৰ পাছত ইলকানা নিজৰ ঘৰ ৰামালৈ গ’ল৷ কিন্তু তেওঁৰ সন্তান চমূৱেলে এলী পুৰোহিতৰ সাক্ষাতে যিহোৱাৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
12 Now the sons of Heli were children of Belial, not knowing the Lord,
১২এলীৰ পুতেক দুজন অসৎ আছিল, তেওঁলোকে যিহোৱাক ভয় নকৰিছিল।
13 Nor the office of the priests to the people: but whosoever had offered a sacrifice, the servant of the priest came, while the flesh was in boiling, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand,
১৩এইদৰে পুৰোহিতসকলে লোকসকলৰ লগত ব্যৱহাৰ কৰিছিল, কোনো মানুহে যেতিয়া বলিদান কৰে, তেতিয়া মঙহ সিজাওঁতে, পুৰোহিতৰ দাসে এডাল ত্ৰিশূল হাতত লৈ আহে;
14 And thrust it into the kettle, or into the caldron, or into the pot, or into the pan: and all that the fleshhook brought up, the priest took to himself. Thus did they to all Israel that came to Silo.
১৪আৰু লোহাৰ পাত্ৰত, বা কেৰাহীত, বা কেটলিত, খোঁচ মাৰি দিয়ে, তাতে সেই ত্ৰিশূলত যিবোৰ মঙহ লাগি আহে, সেই সকলোকে পুৰোহিতে সেই ত্ৰিশূল ডালেৰে সৈতে লৈ যায়। ইস্ৰায়েলৰ যিমান লোক চীলোলৈ আহে, সেই সকলো লোকৰ ওচৰতে তেওঁলোকে এইদৰে ব্যৱহাৰ কৰে।
15 Also before they burnt the fat, the servant of the priest came, and said to the man that sacrificed: Give me flesh to boil for the priest: for I will not take of thee sodden flesh, but raw.
১৫তাৰ পৰিবৰ্তে তেল পোৰাৰ পূৰ্বে, পুৰোহিতৰ দাস আহি বলিদান দিয়া জনক কয়, “পুৰোহিতৰ কাৰণে পুৰিবলৈ মঙহ দিয়া, কিয়নো তেওঁ তোমাৰ পৰা সিজোৱা মঙহ নলয়, কিন্তু কেঁচা মঙহহে ল’ব।”
16 And he that sacrificed said to him: Let the fat first be burnt today according to the custom, and then take as much as thy soul desireth. But he answered and said to him: Not so: but thou shalt give it me now, or else I will take it by force.
১৬কিন্তু মানুহজনে যদি তেওঁক কয়, “প্ৰথমে তেলখিনি পোৰা হওক, তাৰ পাছত আপোনাৰ যিমান ইচ্ছা সিমানখিনিয়ে ল’ব”, তেতিয়া তেওঁ কয়, “নহয় এতিয়াই মোক দে, নিদিলে, বলেৰে লম।”
17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was exceeding great before the Lord: because they withdrew men from the sacrifice of the Lord.
১৭সেয়েহে যিহোৱাৰ দৃ্ষ্টিত সেই ডেকাসকলৰ পাপ অতিশয় বৃদ্ধি হ’ল, কিয়নো সেই ডেকাসকলে যিহোৱাৰ নৈবেদ্য হেয়জ্ঞান কৰিছিল।
18 But Samuel ministered before the face of the Lord: being a child girded with a linen ephod.
১৮সেই সময়ত চমূৱেলে শণ সূতাৰ এফোদ বস্ত্ৰ পিন্ধি যিহোৱাৰ পৰিচৰ্যা কৰি আছিল;
19 And his mother made him a little coat, which she brought to him on the appointed days, when she went up with her husband, to offer the solemn sacrifice.
১৯তাৰ ওপৰিও তেওঁৰ মাকে তেওঁৰ কাৰণে সৰু পোছাক যুগুত কৰি তেওঁৰ স্বামীৰ লগত বছেৰেকীয়া বলিদান উৎসৰ্গ কৰিবলৈ অহাৰ সময়ত প্ৰতি বছৰে তেওঁক দিছিল।
20 And Heli blessed Elcana and his wife: and he said to him: The Lord give thee seed of this woman, for the loan thou hast lent to the Lord. And they went to their own home.
২০এলীয়ে ইলকানাক আৰু তেওঁৰ ভাৰ্যাকো আশীৰ্ব্বাদ কৰি ক’লে, “যিহোৱাৰ অনুগ্ৰহত পোৱা সন্তানটিক যিহোৱালৈ উৎসৰ্গ কৰাৰ বাবে এই সন্তানৰ সলনি যিহোৱাই তোমাক এই ভাৰ্যাৰ পৰা পুনৰ সন্তান দিয়ক।” তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে নিজৰ ঘৰলৈ উভতি গ’ল।
21 And the Lord visited Anna, and she conceived, and bore three sons and two daughters: and the child Samuel became great before the Lord.
২১যিহোৱাই পুনৰ হান্নালৈ কৃপা কৰাৰ পাছত তেওঁ গৰ্ভৱতী হৈ কালক্ৰমে তিনিজন ল’ৰা আৰু দুজনী ছোৱালী প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে। ইতিমধ্যে চমূৱেল যিহোৱাৰ সাক্ষাতে বৃদ্ধি হ’ল।
22 Now Heli was very old, and he heard all that his sons did to all Israel: and how they lay with the women that waited at the door of the tabernacle:
২২সেই সময়ত এলী অতিশয় বৃদ্ধ আছিল। তেওঁ গোটেই ইস্ৰায়েললৈ কৰা তেওঁৰ পুতেকহঁতৰ কু-ব্যৱহাৰৰ কথা শুনিলে আৰু তম্বুৰ দুৱাৰমুখত পৰিচৰ্যা কৰা মহিলাবোৰৰ লগত শয়ন কৰাৰ কথাও শুনা পালে।
23 And he said to them: Why do ye these kinds of things, which I hear, very wicked things, from all the people?
২৩তেতিয়া তেওঁ সিহঁতক ক’লে, “তোমালোকে এনে কৰ্ম কিয় কৰিছাহঁক? কিয়নো আটাই মানুহৰ মুখে মুখে মই তোমালোকৰ কুকৰ্মৰ কথা শুনিছোঁ।
24 Do not so, my sons: for it is no good report that I hear, that you make the people of the Lord to transgress.
২৪হে মোৰ বোপাহঁত, তোমালোকে শুনা তোমালোকে এনে কৰ্ম নকৰিবা; কিয়নো মই যি কথা শুনিছোঁ, সেয়ে ভাল নহয়। তোমালোকে যিহোৱাৰ লোকসকলক আজ্ঞা লঙ্ঘন কৰাইছাহঁক।
25 If one man shall sin against another, God may be appeased in his behalf: but if a man shall sin against the Lord, who shall pray for him? And they hearkened not to the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them.
২৫কোনো এজন মানুহে যদি মানুহৰ অহিতে দোষ কৰে, তেন্তে ঈশ্বৰে তাৰ বিচাৰ কৰিব; কিন্তু কোনোৱে যদি যিহোৱাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে পাপ কৰে, তেন্তে তেওঁৰ পক্ষে কোনে অনুৰোধ কৰিব?” তথাপি তেওঁলোকে নিজ পিতৃৰ কথালৈ মন নিদিলে; কিয়নো যিহোৱাই সিহঁতক মৃত্যুদণ্ড দিবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰিলে।
26 But the child Samuel advanced, and grew on, and pleased both the Lord and men.
২৬কিন্তু চমূৱেল ক্ৰমে ক্ৰমে বাঢ়ি গ’ল; যিহোৱাৰ আৰু মানুহৰ দৃষ্টিত তেওঁ অনুগ্ৰহ প্ৰাপ্ত হ’ল।
27 And there came a man of God to Heli, and said to him: Thus saith the Lord: Did I not plainly appear to thy father’s house, when they were in Egypt in the house of Pharao?
২৭তাৰ পাছত ঈশ্বৰৰ এজন ব্যক্তিয়ে এলীৰ ওচৰলৈ আহি তেওঁক ক’লে, “যিহোৱাই এই বাৰ্তা দিছে, যি সময়ত তোমাৰ পিতৃ মিচৰত ফৰৌণৰ বংশৰ অধীনত আছিল, সেই সময়ত মই তেওঁলোকক দৰ্শন দিয়া নাছিলোঁ নে?
28 And I chose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my sitar, and burn incense to me, and to wear the ephod before me: and I gave to thy father’s house of all the sacrifices of the children of Israel.
২৮তাৰ উপৰিও মোৰ পুৰোহিত হ’বলৈ, মোৰ যজ্ঞ বেদীৰ প্ৰস্থান কৰিবলৈ, ধূপ জ্বলাবলৈ আৰু মোৰ সাক্ষাতে এফোদ বস্ত্ৰ পিন্ধিবলৈ, ইস্ৰায়েলৰ আটাই ফৈদৰ পৰা মই তেওঁক মনোনীত কৰা নাই নে? আৰু ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সন্তান সকলৰ অগ্নিকৃত উপহাৰ তোমাৰ পিতৃবংশক দিয়া নাই নে?
29 Why have you kicked away my victims, and my gifts which I commanded to be offered in the temple: and thou hast rather honoured thy sons than me, to eat the firstfruits of every sacrifice of my people Israel?
২৯সেয়েহে মই মোৰ নিবাসৰ ঠাইত আজ্ঞা কৰা মোৰ বলি আৰু নৈবেদ্যৰ ওপৰত তোমালোকে কিয় অৱজ্ঞা কৰিছা? আৰু মোৰ প্ৰজা ইস্ৰায়েলৰ লোকসকলৰ সকলো উপহাৰৰ আগ ভাগৰ দ্বাৰাই তোমালোক হৃষ্টপুষ্ট হোৱা, সেই বাবে তুমি মোতকৈ, নিজ সন্তান সকলক কিয় অধিক আদৰ কৰিছা?
30 Wherefore thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father should minister in my sight, for ever. But now saith the Lord: Far be this from me: but whosoever shall glorify me, him will I glorify: but they that despise me, shall be despised.
৩০সেই কাৰণে ইস্ৰায়েলৰ ঈশ্বৰ যিহোৱাই কৈছে, ‘তোমাৰ বংশই আৰু তোমাৰ পিতৃৰ বংশই মোৰ সাক্ষাতে সদায় থাকিব’; কিন্তু এতিয়া যিহোৱাই কৈছে, সেয়ে মোৰ পৰা দূৰ হওঁক; কিয়নো মোক মৰ্যদা কৰোঁতা সকলক মই মৰ্যদা কৰিম, কিন্তু মোক তুচ্ছ কৰোঁতা সকলক হেয়জ্ঞান কৰা হ’ব।
31 Behold the days come: and I will cut off thy arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thy house.
৩১চোৱা, মই যি সময়ত তোমাৰ শক্তি আৰু তোমাৰ পিতৃবংশৰ শক্তি নোহোৱা কৰিম, তেতিয়া তোমাৰ বংশত এজনো বৃদ্ধলোক নাথাকিব, এনে সময় আহিছে।
32 And thou shalt see thy rival in the temple, in all the prosperity of Israel, and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.
৩২মই যি ঠাইত বাস কৰোঁ, তুমি সেই ঠাইত অমঙ্গল দেখিবা৷ কিন্তু ঈশ্বৰে ইস্ৰায়েলক দিয়া মঙ্গলৰ অৰ্থে তোমাৰ বংশত কেতিয়াও কোনো বৃদ্ধ নহ’ব।
33 However I will not altogether take away a man of thee from my altar: but that thy eyes may faint and thy soul be spent: and a great part of thy house shall die when they come to man’s estate.
৩৩আৰু মই মোৰ যজ্ঞ-বেদীৰ পৰা তোমাৰ বংশৰ কেৱল এজনক দূৰ নকৰিম, সি তোমাৰ চকু দুৰ্ব্বল কৰিবলৈ আৰু তোমাৰ মনত বেজাৰ জন্মাবলৈহে থাকিব আৰু তোমাৰ বংশত জন্ম গ্ৰহণ কৰা সকলো লোকৰ যৌৱন অৱস্থাতে মৃত্যু হ’ব।
34 And this shall be a sign to thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, Ophni and Phinees: In one day they shall both of them die.
৩৪ইয়াৰ চিন স্বৰূপে তোমাৰ দুজন পুত্ৰ হফনী আৰু পীনহচলৈ এইদৰে ঘটিব, সেয়ে সিহঁত দুয়োৰে একে দিনাই মৃত্যু হ’ব।
35 And I will raise me up a faithful priest, who shall do according to my heart, and my soul, and I will build him a faithful house, and he shall walk all days before my anointed.
৩৫আৰু মই নিজৰ কাৰণে এজন বিশ্বাসী পুৰোহিত প্ৰস্তুত কৰিম; তেওঁ মই ভবাৰ দৰে আৰু মোৰ ইচ্ছাৰ দৰে কাৰ্য কৰিব; আৰু মই তেওঁৰ কাৰণে এক চিৰস্থায়ী গৃহ স্থাপন কৰিম; তেওঁ সদায় মোৰ অভিষিক্ত ৰজাৰ সন্মুখত অহা-যোৱা কৰিব।
36 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall remain in thy house, shall come that he may be prayed for, and shall offer a piece of silver, and a roll of bread, and shall say: Put me, I beseech thee, to somewhat of the priestly office, that I may eat a morsel of bread.
৩৬আৰু তোমাৰ বংশৰ মাজৰ অৱশিষ্ট থকা প্ৰতিজনে আহি এডোখৰ ৰূপ আৰু এটা পিঠাৰ কাৰণে তেওঁৰ আগত প্ৰণিপাত কৰি ক’ব, বিনয় কৰোঁ, মই যেন এডোখৰ পিঠা খাবলৈ পাওঁ, সেই বাবে, অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি কোনো পুৰোহিত পদৰ বাবে মোক নিযুক্তি দিয়ক৷”
