1 Kings 15
1 Now in the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, Abiam reigned over Juda.
௧நேபாத்தின் மகனாகிய யெரொபெயாம் என்னும் ராஜாவின் 18 ஆம் வருடத்திலே அபியாம் யூதா தேசத்திற்கு ராஜாவாகி,
2 He reigned three years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Maacha the daughter of Abessalom.
௨மூன்று வருடங்கள் எருசலேமில் அரசாட்சிசெய்தான்; அப்சலோமின் மகளாகிய அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் மாகாள்.
3 And he walked in all the sins of his father, which he had done before him: and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father.
௩தன்னுடைய தகப்பன் தன் காலத்திற்குமுன்பு செய்த எல்லாப் பாவங்களிலும் தானும் நடந்தான்; அவனுடைய இருதயம் அவனுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் இருதயத்தைப்போல், தன்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக உத்தமமாக இருக்கவில்லை.
4 But for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem, to set up his son after him, and to establish Jerusalem:
௪ஆனாலும் தாவீதுக்காக அவனுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா, அவனுக்குப் பிறகு அவனுடைய மகனை எழும்பச்செய்வதாலும், எருசலேமை நிலைநிறுத்துவதாலும், அவனுக்கு எருசலேமில் ஒரு விளக்கைக் கட்டளையிட்டு வந்தார்.
5 Because David had done that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and had not turned aside from any thing that he commanded him, all the days of his life, except the matter of Urias the Hethite.
௫தாவீது ஏத்தியனான உரியாவின் காரியம் ஒன்றுதவிர யெகோவா தனக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டதிலே தான் உயிரோடு இருந்த நாட்களெல்லாம் ஒன்றையும் விட்டுவிலகாமல், அவருடைய பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்துவந்தான்.
6 But there was war between Roboam and Jeroboam all the time of his life.
௬ரெகொபெயாமுக்கும், யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் அவர்கள் இருந்த நாட்களிலெல்லாம் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
7 And the rest of the words of Abiam, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? And there was war between Abiam and Jeroboam.
௭அபியாமின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும், அவன் செய்தவைகளெல்லாம் யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது; அபியாமுக்கும் யெரொபெயாமுக்கும் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
8 And Abiam slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David, and Asa his son reigned in his stead.
௮அபியாம் இறந்தபின்பு அவனுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு, அவனை தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம்செய்தார்கள்; அவனுடைய மகனாகிய ஆசா அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
9 So in the twentieth year of Jeroboam king of Israel, reigned Asa king of Juda,
௯இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய யெரொபெயாமின் 20 ஆம் வருடத்திலே ஆசா யூதா தேசத்திற்கு ராஜாவாகி,
10 And he reigned one and forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacha, the daughter of Abessalom.
௧041 வருடங்கள் எருசலேமில் அரசாட்சி செய்தான்; அப்சலோமின் மகளாகிய அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் மாகாள்.
11 And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as did David his father:
௧௧ஆசா தன்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதைப்போல் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குச் செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.
12 And he took away the effeminate out of the land, and he removed all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.
௧௨அவன் ஆண் விபசாரக்காரர்களை தேசத்திலிருந்து அகற்றி, தன்னுடைய முன்னோர்கள் ஏற்படுத்தின அருவருப்பான விக்கிரகங்களையெல்லாம் விலக்கி,
13 Moreover he also removed his mother Maacha, from being the princess in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in the grove which she had consecrated to him: and he destroyed her den, and broke in pieces the filthy idol, and burnt it by the torrent Cedron:
௧௩தோப்பிலே அருவருப்பான விக்கிரகத்தை ஏற்படுத்தின தன்னுடைய தாயாகிய மாகாளையும் ராணியாக இல்லாதபடி விலக்கிவிட்டான்; அவளுடைய விக்கிரகத்தையும் ஆசா அழித்து, கீதரோன் ஆற்றின் அருகில் சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.
14 But the high places he did not take away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days:
௧௪மேடைகளோ தகர்க்கப்படவில்லை; ஆனாலும் ஆசா உயிரோடு இருந்த நாட்களெல்லாம் அவனுடைய இருதயம் யெகோவாவோடு இணைந்திருந்தது.
15 And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and he had vowed, into the house of the Lord, silver and gold, and vessels.
௧௫தன்னுடைய தகப்பனும் தானும் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தும்படி நேர்ந்துகொண்ட வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் பணிப்பொருட்களையும் அவன் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தான்.
16 And there was war between Asa, and Baasa king of Israel all their days.
௧௬ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷாவுக்கும் அவர்களுடைய நாட்களிலெல்லாம் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
17 And Baasa king of Israel went up against Juda, and built Rama, that no man might go out or come in, of the side of Asa king of Juda.
௧௭ஒருவரும் யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவினிடம் போக்குவரத்தாக இல்லாதபடி, இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷா யூதாவுக்கு விரோதமாக வந்து ராமாவைக் கட்டினான்.
18 Then Asa took all the silver and gold that remained in the treasures of the house of the Lord, and in the treasures of the king’s house, and delivered it into the hands of his servants: and sent them to Benadad son of Tabremon the son of Hezion, king of Syria, who dwelt in Damascus, saying:
௧௮அப்பொழுது ஆசா யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் பொக்கிஷங்களில் மீதியான எல்லா வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும், ராஜாவின் அரண்மனையின் பொக்கிஷங்களையும் எடுத்து, அவைகளைத் தன்னுடைய வேலைக்காரர்கள் மூலம் தமஸ்குவில் வாழ்ந்த எசியோனின் மகனாகிய தப்ரிமோனின் மகன் பெனாதாத் என்னும் சீரியாவின் ராஜாவிற்குக் கொடுத்தனுப்பி:
19 There is a league between me and thee, and between my father and thy father: therefore I have sent thee presents of silver and gold: and I desire thee to come, and break thy league with Baasa king of Israel, that he may depart from me.
௧௯எனக்கும் உமக்கும் என்னுடைய தகப்பனுக்கும் உம்முடைய தகப்பனுக்கும் உடன்படிக்கை உண்டே; இதோ, உமக்கு வெகுமதியாக வெள்ளியையும் பொன்னையும் அனுப்புகிறேன்; இஸ்ரவேலின் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷா என்னைவிட்டு விலகிப்போகும்படி, நீர் வந்து அவனோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கையைத் தள்ளிப்போடும் என்று சொல்லச்சொன்னான்.
20 Benadad hearkening to king Asa, sent the captains of his army against the cities of Israel, and they smote Ahion, and Dan, and Abeldomum Maacha, and all Cenneroth, that is all the land of Nephtali.
௨0பெனாதாத், ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் சொல்லைக்கேட்டு, தனக்கு உண்டான சேனாபதிகளை இஸ்ரவேலின் பட்டணங்களுக்கு எதிராக அனுப்பி, ஈயோனையும், தாணையும் பெத்மாக்கா என்னும் ஆபேலையும் கின்னரேத் அனைத்தையும் நப்தலியின் முழு தேசத்தையும் தோற்கடித்தான்.
21 And when Baasa had heard this, he left off building Rama, and returned into Thersa.
௨௧பாஷா அதைக் கேட்டபோது, ராமாவைக் கட்டுகிறதைவிட்டு திர்சாவில் இருந்துவிட்டான்.
22 But king Asa sent word into all Juda, saying: Let no man be excused: and they took away the stones from Rama, and the timber thereof wherewith Baasa had been building, and with them Asa built Gabaa of Benjamin, and Maspha.
௨௨அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய ஆசா யூதா எங்கும் ஒருவரும் தப்பாமல் எல்லோரும் போய், பாஷா கட்டின ராமாவின் கற்களையும் அதின் மரங்களையும் எடுத்துவர அறிவிப்புகொடுத்து; அவைகளால் பென்யமீன் கோத்திரத்திலுள்ள கேபாவையும் மிஸ்பாவையும் கட்டினான்.
23 But the rest of all the acts of Asa, and all his strength, and all that he did and the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Juda? But in the time of his old age he was diseased in his feet.
௨௩ஆசாவின் மற்ற எல்லா செயல்பாடுகளும், அவனுடைய எல்லா வல்லமையும், அவன் செய்தவைகளும், அவன் கட்டின பட்டணங்களின் வரலாறும், யூதாவுடைய ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது; அவன் முதிர்வயதான காலத்தில் அவனுடைய கால்களில் வியாதி வந்திருந்தது.
24 And he slept with his fathers, and was buried with them in the city of David his father. And Josaphat his son reigned in his place.
௨௪ஆசா இறந்தபின்பு தன்னுடைய முன்னோர்களோடு, தன்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் நகரத்தில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான்; அவனுடைய மகனாகிய யோசபாத் அவனுடைய இடத்திலே ராஜாவானான்.
25 But Nadab the son of Jeroboam reigned over Israel the second year of Asa king of Juda: and he reigned over Israel two years.
௨௫யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் இரண்டாம் வருடத்திலே யெரொபெயாமின் மகனாகிய நாதாப் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் ராஜாவாகி, இரண்டு வருடம் இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் அரசாட்சிசெய்தான்.
26 And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father, and in his sins, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
௨௬அவன் யெகோவாவுடைய பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்து, தன்னுடைய தகப்பனுடைய வழியிலும், அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவஞ்செய்யச்செய்த அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்தான்.
27 And Baasa the son of Ahias of the house of Issachar, conspired against him, and slew him in Gebbethon, which is a city of the Philistines: for Nadab and all Israel besieged Gebbethon.
௨௭இசக்கார் வம்சத்தானாகிய அகியாவின் மகனான பாஷா, அவனுக்கு எதிராகக் சதிசெய்து, நாதாபும் இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தும் பெலிஸ்தர்களுக்கு இருந்த கிபெத்தோனை முற்றுகை இட்டிருக்கும்போது, பாஷா அவனைக் கிபெத்தோனிலே வெட்டிப்போட்டான்.
28 So Baasa slew him in the third year of Asa king of Juda, and reigned in his place.
௨௮பாஷா யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் மூன்றாம் அரசாட்சியின் வருடத்திலே அவனைக் கொன்றுபோட்டபின்பு, அவனுடைய இடத்தில் ராஜாவானான்.
29 And when he was king he cut off all the house of Jeroboam: he left not so much as one soul of his seed, till he had utterly destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord, which he had spoken in the hand of Ahias the Silonite:
௨௯அப்பொழுது யெரொபெயாம் செய்ததும், இஸ்ரவேலைச் செய்யச்செய்ததுமான பாவங்களினாலும், அவன் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு உண்டாக்கின கோபத்தினாலும், யெகோவா சீலோனியனான அகியா என்னும் தமது ஊழியக்காரனைக்கொண்டு சொல்லியிருந்த வார்த்தையின்படியே,
30 Because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had sinned, and wherewith he had made Israel to sin, and for the offence, wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel.
௩0அவன் ராஜாவானபின்பு அவன் யெரொபெயாமின் வீட்டாரையெல்லாம் வெட்டிப்போட்டான்; யெரொபெயாமுக்கு இருந்த சுவாசமுள்ளதொன்றையும் அவன் அழிக்காமல் விடவில்லை.
31 But the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the words of the days of the kings of Israel?
௩௧நாதாபின் மற்ற செயல்பாடுகளும் அவன் செய்தவைகளும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாக்களின் நாளாகமப் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதியிருக்கிறது.
32 And there was war between Asa and Baasa the king of Israel all their days.
௩௨ஆசாவுக்கும் இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவாகிய பாஷாவுக்கும் அவர்கள் நாட்களிலெல்லாம் யுத்தம் நடந்துகொண்டிருந்தது.
33 In the third year of Asa king of Juda, Baasa the son of Ahias reigned over all Israel, in Thersa, four and twenty years.
௩௩யூதாவின் ராஜாவாகிய ஆசாவின் மூன்றாம் வருட அரசாட்சியிலே அகியாவின் மகனாகிய பாஷா, இஸ்ரவேலனைத்தின் மேலும் திர்சாவிலே ராஜாவாகி 24 வருடங்கள் ஆண்டு,
34 And he did evil before the Lord, and walked in the ways of Jeroboam, and in his sins, wherewith he made Israel to sin.
௩௪யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குத் தீங்கானதைச் செய்து, யெரொபெயாமின் வழியிலும், அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பாவம்செய்யச்செய்த அவனுடைய பாவத்திலும் நடந்தான்.
