1 John 4
1 Dearly beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits if they be of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
ହେ ପ୍ରିୟମାନେ, ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କର ନାହିଁ, ବରଂ ଆତ୍ମାମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଗତ କି ନାହିଁ, ଏହା ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରି ଦେଖ, କାରଣ ଜଗତରେ ଅନେକ ଭଣ୍ଡ ଭାବବାଦୀ ବାହାରି ଅଛନ୍ତି।
2 By this is the spirit of God known. Every spirit which confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God:
ଏହା ଦ୍ୱାରା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କୁ ଚିହ୍ନି ପାରିବ, ଯୀଶୁ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟ ଯେ ଦେହବନ୍ତ ହୋଇ ଆସିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଯେକୌଣସି ଆତ୍ମା ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଗତ,
3 And every spirit that dissolveth Jesus, is not of God: and this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and he is now already in the world.
ଆଉ ଯେକୌଣସି ଆତ୍ମା ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ୱୀକାର ନ କରେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଆଗତ ନୁହେଁ; ଏହା ଭଣ୍ଡଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟର ଆତ୍ମା, ଯାହାର ଆଗମନ କଥା ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଶୁଣିଅଛ, ପୁଣି, ତାହା ଏବେ ହେଁ ଜଗତରେ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇଅଛି।
4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome him. Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
ହେ ବତ୍ସଗଣ, ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ, ଆଉ ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜୟ କରିଅଛ, କାରଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଯେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ସେ, ଜଗତରେ ଯେ ଅଛି, ତାହାଠାରୁ ମହାନ।
5 They are of the world: therefore of the world they speak, and the world heareth them.
ସେମାନେ ଜଗତରୁ ଉତ୍ପନ୍ନ, ଅତଏବ ସେମାନେ ଜାଗତିକ କଥା କହନ୍ତି, ଆଉ ଜଗତ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣେ।
6 We are of God. He that knoweth God, heareth us. He that is not of God, heareth us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
କିନ୍ତୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ; ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣେ; ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ ନୁହେଁ, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ କଥା ଶୁଣେ ନାହିଁ। ଏତଦ୍ଵାରା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସତ୍ୟମୟ ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ଭ୍ରାନ୍ତିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଆତ୍ମାକୁ ଚିହ୍ନି ପାରୁ।
7 Dearly beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. And every one that loveth, is born of God, and knoweth God.
ହେ ପ୍ରିୟମାନେ, ଆସ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁ, କାରଣ ପ୍ରେମ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ, ଆଉ ଯେ କେହି ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଜାତ ଓ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ।
8 He that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is charity.
ଯେ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଜାଣେ ନାହିଁ, କାରଣ ଈଶ୍ବର ତ ପ୍ରେମ।
9 By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.
ଏଥିରେ ହିଁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଅଛି ଯେ, ସେ ଆପଣାର ଅଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଜଗତକୁ ପ୍ରେରଣ କଲେ, ଯେପରି ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଜୀବନ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେଉ।
10 In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲୁ, ତାହା ନୁହେଁ, ମାତ୍ର ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ, ପୁଣି, ଆପଣା ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପାପର ପ୍ରାୟଶ୍ଚିତ୍ତ ସ୍ୱରୂପ କରି ପଠାଇଲେ; ଏଥିରେ ତ ପ୍ରେମ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଏ।
11 My dearest, if God hath so loved us; we also ought to love one another.
ହେ ପ୍ରିୟମାନେ, ଈଶ୍ବର ଯଦି ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି ପ୍ରେମ କଲେ, ତେବେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କର ମଧ୍ୟ ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବା ଉଚିତ୍।
12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us, and his charity is perfected in us.
କେହି କେବେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯଦି ପରସ୍ପରକୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଈଶ୍ବର ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କ ପ୍ରେମ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି।
13 In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he hath given us of his spirit.
ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଯେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛୁ ଓ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣୁ, କାରଣ ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆପଣା ଆତ୍ମାଙ୍କର ସହଭାଗିତା ଦାନ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି।
14 And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.
ପିତା ଯେ ପୁତ୍ରଙ୍କୁ ଜଗତର ତ୍ରାଣକର୍ତ୍ତା ହେବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରେରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି, ଏହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦେଖିଅଛୁ ଓ ସାକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଦେଉଅଛୁ।
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.
ଯେ କେହି ଯୀଶୁଙ୍କୁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କ ପୁତ୍ର ବୋଲି ସ୍ୱୀକାର କରେ, ଈଶ୍ବର ତାହାଠାରେ ଅଛନ୍ତି ଓ ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରେ ଅଛି।
16 And we have known, and have believed the charity, which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity, abideth in God, and God in him.
ପୁଣି, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତି ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କର ଯେଉଁ ପ୍ରେମ ଅଛି, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଜାଣିଅଛୁ ଓ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରିଅଛୁ। ଈଶ୍ବର ତ ପ୍ରେମ; ଯେ ପ୍ରେମରେ ରହେ, ସେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କଠାରେ ରହେ ଓ ଈଶ୍ବର ତାହାଠାରେ ରହନ୍ତି।
17 In this is the charity of God perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment: because as he is, we also are in this world.
ଏଥିରେ ପ୍ରେମ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ହୋଇଅଛି ଯେ, ବିଚାର ଦିନରେ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ସାହସ ପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବୁ, କାରଣ ସେ ଯେପରି ଅଛନ୍ତି, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଏହି ଜଗତରେ ସେହିପରି ଅଛୁ।
18 Fear is not in charity: but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath pain. And he that feareth, is not perfected in charity.
ପ୍ରେମରେ ଭୟ ନ ଥାଏ, କିନ୍ତୁ ସିଦ୍ଧ ପ୍ରେମ ଭୟକୁ ଦୂର କରେ, କାରଣ ଭୟ ଦଣ୍ଡ ସହିତ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ, ଆଉ ଯେ ଭୟ କରେ, ସେ ପ୍ରେମରେ ସିଦ୍ଧ ନୁହେଁ।
19 Let us therefore love God, because God first hath loved us.
ସେ ପ୍ରଥମରେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିବାରୁ ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁ।
20 If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not?
ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁଅଛି ବୋଲି କହି ଯଦି କେହି ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ସେ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ, ଯେଣୁ ଯେଉଁ ଭାଇକୁ ଦେଖିଅଛି, ଯଦି ତାହାକୁ କେହି ପ୍ରେମ ନ କରେ, ତାହାହେଲେ ଯେଉଁ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ସେ ଦେଖି ନାହିଁ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରିପାରେ ନାହିଁ।
21 And this commandment we have from God, that he, who loveth God, love also his brother.
ଯେ ଈଶ୍ବରଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରେମ କରେ, ସେ ଆପଣା ଭାଇକୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ପ୍ରେମ କରୁ, ଏହି ଆଜ୍ଞା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପାଇଅଛୁ।
