1 Corinthians 15
1 Now I make known unto you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand;
Ahora os anuncio, hermanos, la Buena Nueva que os he predicado, que también habéis recibido, en la que también estáis firmes,
2 By which also you are saved, if you hold fast after what manner I preached unto you, unless you have believed in vain.
por la que también os salváis, si retenéis firmemente la palabra que os he predicado, a menos que hayáis creído en vano.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all, which I also received: how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures:
Porque os he transmitido en primer lugar lo que yo también recibí: que Cristo murió por nuestros pecados según las Escrituras,
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures:
que fue sepultado, que resucitó al tercer día según las Escrituras,
5 And that he was seen by Cephas; and after that by the eleven.
y que se apareció a Cefas y luego a los doce.
6 Then he was seen by more than five hundred brethren at once: of whom many remain until this present, and some are fallen asleep.
Luego se apareció a más de quinientos hermanos a la vez, la mayoría de los cuales permanecen hasta ahora, pero algunos también se han dormido.
7 After that, he was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
Luego se apareció a Santiago, después a todos los apóstoles,
8 And last of all, he was seen also by me, as by one born out of due time.
y por último, como al niño nacido a destiempo, se me apareció a mí también.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
Porque yo soy el más pequeño de los apóstoles, que no es digno de ser llamado apóstol, porque perseguí a la asamblea de Dios.
10 But by the grace of God, I am what I am; and his grace in me hath not been void, but I have laboured more abundantly than all they: yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
Pero por la gracia de Dios soy lo que soy. Su gracia que me fue dada no fue inútil, sino que trabajé más que todos ellos; pero no yo, sino la gracia de Dios que estaba conmigo.
11 For whether I, or they, so we preach, and so you have believed.
Sea, pues, yo o ellos, así lo predicamos, y así lo habéis creído.
12 Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead?
Ahora bien, si se predica que Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos, ¿cómo dicen algunos de vosotros que no hay resurrección de los muertos?
13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again.
Pero si no hay resurrección de los muertos, tampoco Cristo ha resucitado.
14 And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
Si Cristo no ha resucitado, vana es nuestra predicación y vana es también vuestra fe.
15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ; whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again.
Sí, también nosotros somos hallados falsos testigos de Dios, porque testificamos de Dios que resucitó a Cristo, a quien no resucitó si es verdad que los muertos no resucitan.
16 For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again.
Porque si los muertos no han resucitado, tampoco Cristo ha resucitado.
17 And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain, for you are yet in your sins.
Si Cristo no ha resucitado, vuestra fe es vana; todavía estáis en vuestros pecados.
18 Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished.
Entonces también los que duermen en Cristo han perecido.
19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
Si sólo hemos esperado en Cristo en esta vida, somos los más lamentables de todos los hombres.
20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep:
Pero ahora Cristo ha resucitado de entre los muertos. Se convirtió en la primicia de los que duermen.
21 For by a man came death, and by a man the resurrection of the dead.
Porque como la muerte vino por el hombre, también la resurrección de los muertos vino por el hombre.
22 And as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.
Porque así como en Adán todos mueren, también en Cristo todos serán vivificados.
23 But every one in his own order: the firstfruits Christ, then they that are of Christ, who have believed in his coming.
Pero cada uno en su orden: Cristo las primicias, luego los que son de Cristo en su venida.
24 Afterwards the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God and the Father, when he shall have brought to nought all principality, and power, and virtue.
Luego vendrá el fin, cuando entregue el Reino a Dios Padre, cuando haya abolido todo gobierno y toda autoridad y poder.
25 For he must reign, until he hath put all his enemies under his feet.
Porque es necesario que reine hasta que haya puesto a todos sus enemigos bajo sus pies.
26 And the enemy death shall be destroyed last: For he hath put all things under his feet. And whereas he saith,
El último enemigo que será abolido es la muerte.
27 All things are put under him; undoubtedly, he is excepted, who put all things under him.
Porque “Todo lo sometió bajo sus pies”. Pero cuando dice: “Todas las cosas están sometidas”, es evidente que se exceptúa al que sometió todas las cosas a él.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then the Son also himself shall be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Cuando todas las cosas le hayan sido sometidas, entonces también el Hijo se someterá al que le sometió todas las cosas, para que Dios sea todo en todos.
29 Otherwise what shall they do that are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not again at all? why are they then baptized for them?
¿O qué harán los que se bautizan por los muertos? Si los muertos no resucitan en absoluto, ¿por qué entonces se bautizan por los muertos?
30 Why also are we in danger every hour?
¿Por qué también nosotros estamos en peligro cada hora?
31 I die daily, I protest by your glory, brethren, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Afirmo que por la jactancia que tengo en Cristo Jesús, nuestro Señor, muero cada día.
32 If (according to man) I fought with beasts at Ephesus, what doth it profit me, if the dead rise not again? Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we shall die.
Si como hombre luche en Éfeso contra bestias, ¿de qué me sirve? Si los muertos no resucitan, entonces “comamos y bebamos, porque mañana moriremos”.
33 Be not seduced: Evil communications corrupt good manners.
¡No te engañes! “Las malas compañías corrompen las buenas costumbres”.
34 Awake, ye just, and sin not. For some have not the knowledge of God, I speak it to your shame.
Despierta con rectitud y no peques, porque algunos no conocen a Dios. Digo esto para su vergüenza.
35 But some man will say: How do the dead rise again? or with what manner of body shall they come?
Pero alguien dirá: “¿Cómo resucitan los muertos?” y: “¿Con qué clase de cuerpo vienen?”
36 Senseless man, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die first.
Necio, lo que tú mismo siembras no se vivifica si no muere.
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not the body that shall be; but bare grain, as of wheat, or of some of the rest.
Lo que tú siembras, no siembras el cuerpo que será, sino un grano desnudo, tal vez de trigo, o de otra clase.
38 But God giveth it a body as he will: and to every seed its proper body.
Pero Dios le da un cuerpo tal como le ha gustado, y a cada semilla un cuerpo propio.
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but one is the flesh of men, another of beasts, another of birds, another of fishes.
No toda la carne es la misma, sino que hay una carne de hombres, otra de animales, otra de peces y otra de aves.
40 And there are bodies celestial, and bodies terrestrial: but, one is the glory of the celestial, and another of the terrestrial.
Hay también cuerpos celestes y cuerpos terrestres; pero la gloria de los celestes difiere de la de los terrestres.
41 One is the glory of the sun, another the glory of the moon, and another the glory of the stars. For star differeth from star in glory.
Hay una gloria del sol, otra gloria de la luna, y otra gloria de las estrellas; porque una estrella difiere de otra en su gloria.
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it shall rise in incorruption.
Así es también la resurrección de los muertos. El cuerpo se siembra perecedero; resucita imperecedero.
43 It is sown in dishonour, it shall rise in glory. It is sown in weakness, it shall rise in power.
Se siembra en la deshonra, pero resucita en la gloria. Se siembra en la debilidad; resucita en el poder.
44 It is sown a natural body, it shall rise a spiritual body. If there be a natural body, there is also a spiritual body, as it is written:
Se siembra un cuerpo natural; se resucita un cuerpo espiritual. Hay un cuerpo natural y hay también un cuerpo espiritual.
45 The first man Adam was made into a living soul; the last Adam into a quickening spirit.
Así también está escrito: “El primer hombre Adán se convirtió en un alma viviente”. El último Adán se convirtió en un espíritu viviente.
46 Yet that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; afterwards that which is spiritual.
Sin embargo, lo que es espiritual no es lo primero, sino lo que es natural, y luego lo que es espiritual.
47 The first man was of the earth, earthly: the second man, from heaven, heavenly.
El primer hombre es de la tierra, hecho de polvo. El segundo hombre es el Señor del cielo.
48 Such as is the earthly, such also are the earthly: and such as is the heavenly, such also are they that are heavenly.
Como el que está hecho de polvo, así son los que también están hechos de polvo; y como el celestial, así son también los celestiales.
49 Therefore as we have borne the image of the earthly, let us bear also the image of the heavenly.
Así como hemos llevado la imagen de los que están hechos de polvo, llevemos también la imagen de los celestiales.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot possess the kingdom of God: neither shall corruption possess incorruption.
Ahora bien, hermanos, digo que la carne y la sangre no pueden heredar el Reino de Dios; ni lo perecedero hereda lo imperecedero.
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery. We shall all indeed rise again: but we shall not all be changed.
He aquí, os digo un misterio. No todos dormiremos, sino que todos seremos transformados,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall rise again incorruptible: and we shall be changed.
en un momento, en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, a la última trompeta. Porque sonará la trompeta y los muertos resucitarán incorruptibles, y nosotros seremos transformados.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption; and this mortal must put on immortality.
Porque es necesario que este cuerpo perecedero se convierta en incorruptible, y que este mortal se vista de inmortalidad.
54 And when this mortal hath put on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory.
Pero cuando este cuerpo perecedero se convierta en incorruptible, y este mortal se vista de inmortalidad, entonces sucederá lo que está escrito: “La muerte es absorbida por la victoria”.
“Muerte, ¿dónde está tu aguijón? Hades, ¿dónde está tu victoria?” (Hadēs g86)
56 Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law.
El aguijón de la muerte es el pecado, y el poder del pecado es la ley.
57 But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pero gracias a Dios, que nos da la victoria por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast and unmoveable; always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Por lo tanto, mis amados hermanos, estad firmes, inamovibles, abundando siempre en la obra del Señor, porque sabéis que vuestro trabajo no es en vano en el Señor.
