१आदाम, शेथ, अनोश,
2 Cainan, Malaleel, Jared,
२केनान, महललेल, यारेद,
3 Henoc, Mathusale, Lamech,
३हनोख, मथुशलह, लामेख,
4 Noe, Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
४नोहा, शेम, हाम आणि याफेथ.
5 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, Thubal, Mosoch, Thiras.
५याफेथाचे पुत्रः गोमर, मागोग, माद्य, यावान, तुबाल, मेशेख, तीरास
6 And the sons of Gomer: Ascenez, and Riphath, and Thogorma.
६गोमरचे पुत्र आष्कनाज, रीफाथ, तोगार्मा
7 And the sons of Javan: Elisa and Tharsis, Cethim and Dodanim.
७यावानाचे पुत्र अलीशा, तार्शीश, कित्तीम, दोदानीम.
8 The sons of Cham: Chus, and Mesrai, and Phut, and Chaanan.
८हामाचे पुत्र कूश, मिस्राईम, पूट व कनान.
9 And the sons of Chus: Saba, and Hevila, Sabatha, and Regma, and Sabathaca. And the sons of Regma: Saba, and Dadan.
९कूशचे पुत्र सबा, हवीला, सब्ता, रामा, साब्तका, रामाचे पुत्र शबा आणि ददान.
10 Now Chus begot Nemrod: he began to be mighty upon earth.
१०कूशाने निम्रोदाला जन्म दिला, जो पृथ्वीवरचा पहिला जगजेत्ता बनला.
11 But Mesraim begot Ludim, and Anamim, and Laabim, and Nephtuim,
११मिस्राईमने लूदीम, अनामीम, लहाबीम, नाप्तुहीम
12 Phetrusim also, and Casluim: from whom came the Philistines, and Caphtorim.
१२पात्रुसीम, कास्लूहीम (ज्यांच्यापासून पलिष्टी झाले) व कफतोरीम यांना जन्म दिला.
13 And Chanaan beget Sidon his firstborn, and the Hethite,
१३आणि कनानाचा ज्येष्ठ पुत्र सीदोन व त्यानंतर हेथ,
14 And the Jebusite, and the Amorrhite, and the Gergesite,
१४यबूसी, अमोरी, गिर्गाशी,
15 And the Hevite, and the Aracite, and the Sinite,

16 And the Aradian, and the Samarite, and the Hamathite.
१६अर्वादी, समारी, हमाथी हे होत.
17 The sons of Sem: Elam and Asur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram, and Hus, and Hul, and Gether, and Mosoch.
१७एलाम, अश्शूर, अर्पक्षद, लूद आणि अराम, ऊस, हूल, गेतेर आणि मेशेख हे शेमचे पुत्र.
18 And Arphaxad beget Sale, and Sale beget Heber.
१८शेलहचा पिता अर्पक्षद आणि एबरचे पिता शेलह.
19 And to Heber were born two sons, the name of the one was Phaleg, because In his days the earth was divided; and the name of his brother was Jectan.
१९एबरला दोन पुत्र झाले. एकाचे नाव पेलेग होते, कारण त्याच्या दिवसात पृथ्वीची विभागणी झाली. पेलेगच्या बंधूचे नाव यक्तान.
20 And Jectan beget Elmodad, and Saleph, and Asarmoth, and Jare,

21 And Adoram, and Usal, and Decla,
२१हदोराम, ऊजाल, दिक्ला,
22 And Hebal, and Abimael, and Saba,
२२एबाल, अबीमाएल, शबा,
23 And Ophir, and Hevila, and Jobab. All these are the sons of Jectan.
२३ओफीर, हवीला, योबाब यांना जन्म दिला. हे सर्व यक्तानाचे पुत्र होते.
24 Sem, Arphaxad, Sale,
२४शेम, अर्पक्षद, शेलह,
25 Heber, Phaleg, Ragau,
२५एबर, पेलेग, रऊ
26 Serug, Nachor, Thare,
२६सरुग, नाहोर, तेरह,
27 Abram, this is Abraham.
२७अब्राम म्हणजेच अब्राहाम.
28 And the sons of Abraham, Isaac and Ismahel.
२८इसहाक आणि इश्माएल ही अब्राहामचे पुत्र.
29 And these are the generations of them. The firstborn of Ismahel, Nabajoth, then Cedar, and Adbeel, and Mabsam,

30 And Masma, and Duma, Massa, Hadad, and Thema,
३०मिश्मा, दुमा, मस्सा, हदद, तेमा
31 Jetur, Naphis, Cedma: these are the sons of Ismahel.
३१यतूर, नापीश, केदमा. हे सर्व इश्माएलाचे पुत्र.
32 And the sons of Cetura, Abraham’s concubine, whom she bore: Zamran, Jecsan, Madan, Madian, Jesboc, and Sue. And the sons of Jecsan, Saba, and Dadan. And the sons of Dadan: Assurim, and Latussim, and Laomin.
३२अब्राहामाची उपपत्नी कटूरा हिचे पुत्र जिम्रान, यक्षान, मदान, मिद्यान, इश्बाक, शूह यांना जन्म दिला. यक्षानला शबा व ददान हे पुत्र झाले.
33 And the sons of Madian: Epha, and Epher, and Henoch, and Abida, and Eldaa. All these are the sons of Cetura.
३३एफा, एफर, हनोख, अबीदा, एल्दा हे मिद्यानचे पुत्र. या सर्वांना कटूराने जन्म दिला.
34 And Abraham beget Isaac: and his sons were Esau and Israel.
३४इसहाक हा अब्राहामाचा पुत्र. एसाव आणि इस्राएल हे इसहाकाचे पुत्र.
35 The sons of Esau: Eliphaz, Rahuel, Jehus, Ihelom, and Core.
३५एसावाचे पुत्र अलीपाज, रगुवेल, यऊश, यालाम, कोरह.
36 The sons of Eliphaz: Theman, Omar, Sephi, Gathan, Cenez, and by Thamna, Amalec.
३६अलीपाजचे पुत्र तेमान, ओमार, सपी, गाताम, कनाज. याखेरीज अलीपाज आणि तिम्ना यांना अमालेक नावाचा पुत्र होता.
37 The sons of Rahuel: Nahath, Zara, Samma, Meza.
३७नहाथ, जेरह, शम्मा, मिज्जा हे रगुवेलाचे पुत्र होत.
38 The sons of Seir: Lotan. Sobal, Sebeen, Ana, Dison, Eser, Disan.
३८लोटान, शोबाल, सिबोन, अना, दीशोन, एसर व दीशान हे सेईराचे पुत्र.
39 The sons of Lotan: Hori, Homam. And the sister of Lotan was Thamna.
३९होरी आणि होमाम हे लोटानाचे पुत्र. लोटानाला तिम्ना नावाची बहीणही होती.
40 The sons of Sobal: Alian, and Manahath, and Ebal, Sephi and Onam. The sons of Sebeon: Aia, and Ana. The son of Ana: Dison.
४०आल्यान, मानहाथ, एबाल, शपी आणि ओनाम हे शोबालचे पुत्र. अय्या आणि अना हे सिबोनचे पुत्र.
41 The sons of Dison: Hamram, and Eseban, and Jethran, and Charan.
४१दिशोन हा अनाचा पुत्र आणि हम्रान, एश्बान, यित्राण, करान हे दीशोनाचे पुत्र.
42 The sons of Eser: Balaan, and Zavan, and Jacan. The sons of Disan: Hus and Aran.
४२बिल्हान, जावान, याकान हे एसेराचे पुत्र. ऊस व अरान हे दीशानाचे पुत्र.
43 Now these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there was a king over the children of Israel: Bale the son of Beer: and the name of his city was Denaba.
४३इस्राएलामध्ये या राजांनी राज्य केले त्याच्या कितीतरी आधी अदोम येथे हे राजे होते. त्यांची नावे बौराचा पुत्र बेला, बेलाच्या नगराचे नाव दीन्हाबा.
44 And Bale died, and Jobab the son of Zare of Bosra, reigned in his stead.
४४बेलाच्या निधनानंतर जेरहचा पुत्र योबाब राजा झाला. योबाब बस्रा येथील होता.
45 And when Jobab also was dead, Husam of the land of the Themanites reigned in his stead.
४५योबाबाच्या निधनानंतर त्याच्या जागी हूशाम राजा झाला. हा तेमानी देशातील होता.
46 And Husam also died, and Adad the son of Badad reigned in his stead, and he defeated the Madianites in the land of Moab: and the name of his city was Avith.
४६हूशामच्या मृत्यूनंतर बदादचा पुत्र हदाद याने राज्य केले. त्याने मवाबाच्या देशात मिद्यानचा पराभव केला. हदादच्या नगराचे नाव अवीत होते.
47 And when Adad also was dead, Semla of Masreca reigned in his stead.
४७हदाद मरण पावल्यावर साम्ला राजा झाला. हा मास्रेका येथील होता.
48 Semla also died, and Saul of Rohoboth, which is near the river, reigned in his stead.
४८साम्ला मरण पावल्यावर त्याच्या जागी शौल राज्यावर आला. हा नदीवरल्या रहोबोथाचा होता.
49 And when Saul was dead, Balanan the son of Achobor reigned in his stead.
४९शौल मरण पावल्यावर अकबोराचा पुत्र बाल-हानान राजा झाला.
50 He also died, and Adad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Phau, and his wife was called Meetabel the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezaab.
५०बाल-हानान मरण पावल्यावर हदाद राजा झाला. त्याच्या मुख्य नगराचे नाव पाई असे होते. हदादच्या पत्नीचे नाव महेटाबेल. ही मात्रेद हिची कन्या. मात्रेद मेजाहाबची कन्या.
51 And after the death of Adad, there began to be dukes in Edom instead of kings: duke Thamna, duke Alva, duke Jetheth,
५१पुढे हदाद मरण पावल्यानंतर अदोमाचे सरदार तिम्ना, आल्वा, यतेथ,
52 Duke Oolibama, duke Ela, duke Phinon,
५२अहलीबामा, एला, पीनोन,
53 Duke Cenez, duke Theman, duke Mabsar,
५३कनाज, तेमान मिब्सार,
54 Duke Magdiel, duke Hiram. These are the dukes of Edom.
५४माग्दीएल, ईराम, हे अदोमाचे नेते झाले.
