1 Chronicles 5
1 Now the sons of Ruben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was his firstborn: but forasmuch as he defiled his father’s bed, his first birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, and he was not accounted for the firstborn.
Und die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, - denn er war der Erstgeborene; als er aber das Lager seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, verliehen, nur daß er im Geschlechtregister nicht als Erstgeborener eingetragen werden sollte.
2 But of the race of Juda, who was the strongest among his brethren, came the princes: but the first birthright was accounted to Joseph.)
Denn Juda hatte die Obmacht unter seinen Brüdern, und zum Fürsten ward einer aus ihm genommen; aber das Erstgeburtsrecht wurde Joseph zuteil -
3 The sons then of Ruben the firstborn of Israel were Enoch, and Phallu, Esron, and Charmi.
die Söhne Rubens also, des Erstgeborenen Israels, waren: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron und Karmi.
4 The sons of Joel: Samaia his son, Gog his son, Semei his son,
Die Söhne Joels waren: sein Sohn Semaja, dessen Sohn Gog, dessen Sohn Simei,
5 Micha his son, Reia his son, Baal his son,
dessen Sohn Micha, dessen Sohn Reaja, dessen Sohn Baal,
6 Beera his son, whom Thelgathphalnasar king of the Assyrians carried away captive, and he was prince in the tribe of Ruben.
dessen Sohn Beera, den Thilhath-Pilneser, der König von Assyrien, in die Gefangenschaft führte; er war ein Fürst der Rubeniten.
7 And his brethren, and all his kindred, when they were numbered by their families, had for princes Jehiel, and Zacharias.
Und seine Brüder nach ihren Geschlechtern, wie sie nach ihrer Abstammung verzeichnet wurden, waren: der Erste Jeiel und Sacharja
8 And Bala the son of Azaz, the son of Samma, the son of Joel, dwelt in Aroer as far as Nebo, and Beelmeon.
und Bela, der Sohn Asas', des Sohnes Semas, des Sohnes Joels; der wohnte zu Aroer und bis Nebo und Baal Meon.
9 And eastward he had his habitation as far as the entrance of the desert, and the river Euphrates. For they possessed a great number of cattle in the land of Galaad.
Und nach Osten zu wohnte er bis an den Rand der Steppe, die sich vom Euphratstrome her erstreckt; denn ihre Herden waren zahlreich in Gilead.
10 And in the days of Saul they fought against the Agarites, and slew them, and dwelt in their tents in their stead, in all the country, that looketh to the east of Galaad.
Zur Zeit Sauls aber führten sie Krieg gegen die Hagriter, und als diese durch ihre Hand gefallen waren, besetzten sie ihre Zeltlager auf der ganzen Ostseite von Gilead.
11 And the children of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Basan, as far as Selcha:
Die Söhne Gads aber wohnten ihnen gegenüber im Lande Basan bis Salcha:
12 Johel the chief, and Saphan the second: and Janai, and Saphat in Basan.
Joel, der erste, und Saphan, der zweite an Rang, und Jaenai und Saphat in Basan.
13 And their brethren according to the houses of their kindreds, were Michael, and Mosollam, and Sebe, and Jorai, and Jacan, and Zie, and Heber, seven.
Und ihre Brüder nach ihren Familien waren: Michael, Mesullam, Seba, Jorai, Jaekan, Sia und Eber, zusammen sieben.
14 These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Hurl, the son of Jara, the son of Galaad, the son of Michael, the son of Jesisi, the son of Jeddo, the son of But.
Dies sind die Söhne Abihails, des Sohnes Huris, des Sohnes Jahroas, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Jesisais, des Sohnes Jados, des Sohnes Bus'.
15 And their brethren the sons of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of the house in their families,
Ahi, der Sohn Abdiels, des Sohnes Gunis, war ein Haupt ihrer Familien.
16 And they dwelt in Galaad, and in Basan and in the towns thereof, and in all the suburbs of Saron, unto the borders.
Und sie wohnten in Gilead, in Basan und den zugehörigen Ortschaften und auf allen Weidetriften Sarons bis an ihre Ausgänge.
17 All these were numbered in the days of Joathan king of Juda, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.
Diese alle wurden aufgezeichnet zur Zeit Jothams, des Königs von Juda, und zur Zeit Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel.
18 The sons of Ruben, and of Gad, and of the half tribe of Manasses, fighting men, bearing shields, and swords, and bending the bow, and trained up to battles, four and forty thousand seven hundred and threescore that went out to war.
Die Rubeniten, die Gaditen und der halbe Stamm Manasse, was tapfere Männer waren, die Schild und Schwert trugen und den Bogen spannten und kampfgeübt waren - 44760 kriegstüchtige Männer -,
19 They fought against the Agarites: but the Itureans, and Naphis, and Nodab,
die führten Krieg mit den Hagritern und mit Jetur, Naphis und Nodab.
20 Gave them help. And the Agarites were delivered into their hands, and all that were with them, because they called upon God in the battle: and he heard them, because they had put their faith in him.
Und es ward ihnen geholfen wider sie und die Hagriter wurden samt allen ihren Verbündeten in ihre Gewalt gegeben. Denn sie hatten während des Kampfes zu Gott um Hilfe geschrien, und er ließ sich von ihnen erbitten, weil sie auf ihn vertraut hatten.
21 And they took all that they possessed, of camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred and fifty thousand, and of asses two thousand, and of men a hundred thousand souls.
Und sie führten ihre Herden als Beute hinweg: 50000 Kamele, 250000 Schafe und 2000 Esel; dazu 100000 Menschen.
22 And many fell down slain: for it was the battle of the Lord. And they dwelt in their stead till the captivity.
Denn es waren viele vom Schwert durchbohrt gefallen, weil der Krieg von Gott geordnet war. Und so wohnten sie an ihrer Statt bis zur Wegführung.
23 And the children of the half tribe of Manasses possessed the land, from the borders of Basan unto Baal, Hermon, and Sanir, and mount Hermon, for their number was great.
Und die Angehörigen des halben Stammes Manasse wohnten im Lande von Basan bis Baal Hermon und bis zum Senir und zum Hermongebirge. Sie waren zahlreich,
24 And these were the heads of the house of their kindred, Epher, and Jesi, and Eliel, and Esriel, and Jeremia, and Odoia, and Jediel, most valiant and powerful men, and famous chiefs in their families.
und dies waren ihre Familienhäupter: Epher, Jisei, Eliel, Asriel, Jeremia, Hodawja und Jahdiel, tapfere Krieger, hochgefeierte Männer, Häupter in ihren Familien.
25 But they forsook the God of their fathers, and went astray after the gods of the people of the land, whom God destroyed before them.
Als sie aber gegen den Gott ihrer Väter treulos handelten und mit den Göttern der heidnischen Völkerschaften buhlten, die Gott vor ihnen vertilgt hatte,
26 And the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Phul king of the Assyrians, and the spirit of Thelgathphalnasar king of Assur: and he carried away Ruben, and Gad, and the half tribe of Manasses, and brought them to Lahela, and to Habor, and to Ara, and to the river of Gozan, unto this day.
da reizte der Gott Israels die Wut Puls, des Königs von Assyrien, und die Wut Thilgath-Pilnesers, des Königs von Assyrien, an, daß er die Rubeniten, die Gaditen und den halben Stamm Manasse hinwegführte und sie nach Halah, Habor, Hara und an den Fluß Gosan brachte, bis auf den heutigen Tag.
