1 Chronicles 26
1 And the divisions of the porters: of the Corites Meselemia, the son of Core, of the sons of Asaph.
Voici les classes des portiers: Des Coréïtes: Mésélémia, fils de Coré, d'entre les fils d'Asaph. —
2 The sons of Meselemia: Zacharias the firstborn, Jadihel the second, Zabadias the third, Jathanael the fourth,
Fils de Mésélémia: Zacharias, le premier-né; Jadihel le deuxième, Zabadias le troisième, Jathanaël le quatrième,
3 Elam the fifth, Johanan the sixth, Elioenai the seventh.
Elam le cinquième, Johanan le sixième, Elioénaï le septième. —
4 And the sons of Obededom, Semeias the firstborn, Jozabad the second, Joaha the third, Sachar the fourth, Nathanael the fifth,
Fils d'Obédédom: Séméïas, le premier-né; Jozabad le deuxième, Joaha le troisième, Sachar le quatrième, Nathanaël le cinquième,
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Phollathi the eighth: for the Lord had blessed him.
Ammiel le sixième, Issachar le septième, Phollathi le huitième; car Dieu avait béni Obédédom. —
6 And to Semei his son were born sons, herds of their families: for they were men of great valour.
A Séméïas, son fils, naquirent des fils qui furent chefs dans la maison de leur père, car ils étaient de vaillants hommes.
7 The sons then of Semeias were Othni, and Raphael, and Obed, Elizabad, and his brethren most valiant men: and Eliu, and Samachias.
Fils de Séméïas: Othni, Raphaël, Obed, Elzabad et ses frères, hommes vaillants, Eliu et Samachias.
8 All these of the sons of Obededom: they, and their sons, and their brethren most able men for service, sixty-two of Obededom.
Tous ceux-là étaient des fils d'Obédédom; eux, leurs fils et leurs frères, hommes braves et forts pour le service, étaient au nombre de soixante-deux, issus d'Obédédom.
9 And the sons of Meselemia, and their brethren strong men, were eighteen.
Mésélémia avait des fils et des frères, hommes vaillants, au nombre de dix-huit.
10 And of Hosa, that is, of the sons of Merari: Semri the chief, (for he had not a firstborn, and therefore his father made him chief.)
Hosa, des fils de Mérari, avait pour fils: Semri, le chef: il n'était pas le premier-né, mais son père l'avait établi chef;
11 Helcias the second, Tabelias the third, Zacharias the fourth: all these the sons, and the brethren of Hosa, were thirteen.
Helcias le second, Tabélias le troisième, Zacharias le quatrième. Tous les fils et les frères de Hosa étaient au nombre de treize.
12 Among these were the divisions of the porters, so that the chiefs of the wards, as well as their brethren, always ministered in the house of the Lord.
Ces classes de portiers, les chefs de ces hommes, avaient, à côté de leurs frères, des fonctions pour le service de la maison de Yahweh.
13 And they cast lots equally, both little and great, by their families for every one of the gates.
Ils tirèrent les sorts pour chaque porte, petits et grands, selon leurs familles.
14 And the lot of the east fell to Selemias. But to his son Zacharias, a very wise and learned man, the north gate fell by lot.
Le sort pour le côté de l'orient échut à Sélémias. On tira au sort pour Zacharias, son fils, qui était un sage conseiller, et le côté du septentrion lui échut.
15 And to Obededom and his sons that towards the south: in which part of the house was the council of the ancients.
Le côté du midi échut à Obédédom, et la maison des magasins à ses fils.
16 To Sephim, and Hosa towards the west, by the gate which leadeth to the way of the ascent: ward against ward.
A Séphim et à Hosa échut le côté de l'occident, près de la porte Schalléketh, sur le chemin montant: une garde était en face de l'autre.
17 Now towards the east were six Levites: and towards the north four a day: and towards the south likewise four a day: and where the council was, two and two.
Il y avait à l'orient six lévites, au septentrion quatre par jour, au midi quatre par jour, et quatre aux magasins, deux à deux;
18 In the cells also of the porters toward the west four in the way: and two at every cell.
du côté des dépendances, à l'occident, quatre vers le chemin, deux aux dépendances. —
19 These are the divisions of the porters of the sons of Core, and of Merari.
Telles sont les classes des portiers, d'entre les fils des Coréïtes et les fils de Mérari.
20 Now Achias was over the treasures of the house of God, and the holy vessels.
Les lévites, leurs frères, avaient l'intendance des trésors de la maison de Dieu et des trésors des choses consacrées.
21 The sons of Ledan, the sons of Gersonni: of Ledan were heads of the families, of Ledan, and Gersonni, Jehieli.
Parmi les fils de Lédan, savoir les fils des Gersonites issus de Lédan, chefs des familles de Lédan le Gersonite, c'était Jéhiel;
22 The sons of Jehieli: Zathan and Joel, his brethren over the treasures of the house of the Lord,
les fils de Jéhiel, Zathan et Joël, son frère, avaient l'intendance des trésors de la maison de Yahweh.
23 With the Amramites, and Isaarites, and Hebronites, and Ozielites.
Parmi les Amramites, les Isaarites, les Hébronites et les Ozihélites,
24 And Subael the son of Gersom, the son of Moses, was chief over the treasures.
c'était Subuël, fils de Gersom, fils de Moïse, qui était l'intendant en chef des trésors.
25 His brethren also, Eliezer, whose son Rohobia, and his son Isaias, and his son Joram, and his son Zechri, and his son Selemith.
Parmi ses frères issus d'Eliézer, dont le fils fut Rahabia, dont le fils fut Isaïas, dont le fils fut Joram, dont le fils fut Zéchri, dont le fils fut Sélémith,
26 Which Selemith and his brethren were over the treasures of the holy things, which king David, and the heads of families, and the captains over thousands and over hundreds, and the captains of the host had dedicated,
c'étaient Sélémith et ses frères qui avaient l'intendance de tous les trésors des choses saintes qu'avaient consacrées le roi David, les chefs de famille, avec les chefs de milliers et de centaines et les chefs de l'armée:
27 Out of the wars, and the spoils won in battles, which they had consecrated to the building and furniture of the temple of the Lord.
ils les avaient consacrées sur le butin pris à la guerre, pour l'entretien de la maison de Yahweh.
28 And all these things that Samuel the seer and Saul the son of Cis, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Sarvia had sanctified: and whosoever had sanctified those things, they were under the hand of Selemith and his brethren.
Tout ce qu'avaient consacré Samuel, le voyant, Saül, fils de Cis, Abner, fils de Ner, Joab, fils de Sarvia, ou tout autre, était sous la main de Sélémith et de ses frères.
29 But Chonenias and his sons were over the Isaarites, for the business abroad over Israel to teach them and judge them.
Parmi les Isaarites, Chonénias et ses fils étaient employés pour les affaires extérieures en Israël, comme scribes et comme magistrats.
30 And of the Hebronites Hasabias, and his brethren most able men, a thousand seven hundred had the charge over Israel beyond the Jordan westward, in all the works of the Lord, and for the service of the king.
Parmi les Hébronites, Hasabias et ses frères, hommes vaillants, au nombre de mille sept cents, avaient la surveillance d'Israël de l'autre côté du Jourdain, à l'occident, pour toutes les affaires de Yahweh et le service du roi.
31 And the chief of the Hebronites was Jeria according to their families and kindreds. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were numbered, and there were found most valiant men in Jazer Galaad,
Pour les Hébronites, Jéria était le chef, — Pour les Hébronites, selon leurs généalogies, par familles, on fit des recherches, la quarantième année du règne de David, et l'on trouva parmi eux de vaillants hommes à Jazer en Galaad, —
32 And his brethren of stronger age, two thousand seven hundred chiefs of families. And king David made them rulers over the Rubenites and the Gadites, and the half tribe of Manasses, for all the service of God, and the king.
et ses frères, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de deux mille sept cents chefs de famille. Le roi David les établit sur les Rubénites, sur les Gadites et sur la demi-tribu de Manassé pour toutes les affaires de Dieu et les affaires du roi.
