< 1 Chronicles 22 >
1 Then David said: This is the house of God, and this is the altar for the holocaust of Israel.

2 And he commanded to gather together all the proselytes of the land of Israel, and out of them he appointed stonecutters to hew stones and polish them, to build the house of God.
Ya mere, Devid nyere iwu ka a kpọkọta ndị ọbịa niile bi nʼIzrel, site nʼetiti ha ọ họpụtara ndị ga-edozi nkume a wara awa nke e ji wuo ụlọ Chineke.
3 And David prepared in abundance iron for the nails of the gates, and for the closures and joinings: and of brass an immense weight.
Devid wetara ọtụtụ igwe dị ukwuu, nke ha ji akpụta ǹtu maka ibo ọnụ ụzọ ama niile, na nke ịkpụ ihe njikọta niile. O wetakwara bronz a na-apụghị ịkọwa ịdị arọ ya.
4 And the cedar trees were without number, which the Sidonians, and Tyrians brought to David.
O webatakwara osisi sida nʼapụghị ịgụta ọnụọgụgụ ha, nʼihi na ndị Taịa na Saịdọn butere ha nʼọnụọgụgụ riri nne nye Devid.
5 And David said: Solomon my son is very young and tender, and the house which I would have to be built to the Lord, must be such as to be renowned in all countries: therefore I will prepare him necessaries. And therefore before his death he prepared all the charges.

Nʼihi ya, aga m akpakọba ihe niile e ji ewu ya.” Ya mere, tupu Devid anwụọ, ọ kwakọtara ngwongwo riri nne.
6 And he called for Solomon his son: and commanded him to build a house to the Lord the God of Israel.
Ọ kpọrọ Solomọn, bụ nwa ya, nye ya iwu iwuru Onyenwe anyị, bụ Chineke nke Izrel ụlọ.
7 And David said to Solomon: My son, it was my desire to have built a house to the name of the Lord my God.
Devid gwara Solomọn sị, “Nwa m, ọ dị m nʼobi iwu ụlọ maka aha Onyenwe anyị bụ Chineke m,
8 But the word of the Lord came to me, saying: Thou hast shed much blood, and fought many battles, so thou canst not build a house to my name, after shedding so much blood before me:
ma okwu Onyenwe anyị ndị a ruru m ntị sị m, ‘Ị wụsịala ọtụtụ ọbara, bukwaa ọtụtụ agha. Ị gaghị ewu ụlọ nye Aha m, nʼihi na ị wụsịala ọtụtụ ọbara nʼelu ala nʼihu m.
9 The son, that shall be born to thee, shall be a most quiet man: for I will make him rest from all his enemies round about: and therefore he shall be called Peaceable: and I will give peace and quietness to Israel all his days.
Ma ị ga-amụta otu nwa nwoke onye ga-abụ mmadụ udo, na onye ga-enwe izuike nʼoge ya. Aga m enye ya izuike site nʼaka ndị iro ya nʼakụkụ niile. Aha ya ga-abụ Solomọn. Aga m enye Izrel udo na ahụ dị jụụ nʼoge ọchịchị ya.
10 He shall build a house to my name, and he shall be a son to me, and I will be a father to him: and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
Ya onwe ya ga-ewuru m ụlọ ahụ. Ọ ga-abụrụ m nwa, mụ onwe m ga-abụkwara ya nna. Aga m emekwa ka ocheeze alaeze ya nʼIzrel guzosie ike ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.’
11 Now then, my son, the Lord be with thee, and do thou prosper, and build the house to the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken of thee.
“Ya mere, ugbu a nwa m, ka Onyenwe anyị nọnyere gị mgbe ị ga-ewu ụlọ Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị, dịka o kwuru na ị ga-eme.
12 The Lord also give thee wisdom and understanding, that thou mayest be able to rule Israel, and to keep the law of the Lord thy God.
Onyenwe anyị nyekwa gị amamihe na nghọta nke ị ga-eji chịa ezi ọchịchị mgbe ị ghọrọ eze Izrel, ka i si otu a debe iwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị.
13 For then thou shalt be able to prosper, if thou keep the commandments, and judgments, which the Lord commanded Moses to teach Israel: take courage and act manfully, fear not, nor be dismayed.
Mgbe ahụ, ị ga-enwe ọganihu, ma ọ bụrụ na i lezie anya idebe iwu na ụkpụrụ niile nke Onyenwe anyị nyere Mosis maka Izrel. Dị ike, nwee obi ike. Atụla ụjọ, maọbụ daa mba.
14 Behold I in my poverty have prepared the charges of the house of the Lord, of gold a hundred thousand talents, and of silver a million of talents: but of brass, and of iron there is no weight, for the abundance surpasseth all account: timber also and stones I have prepared for all the charges.
“Ejisiela m ike chịkọtaa ihe maka ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị, narị puku talenti ọlaedo na nde talenti ọlaọcha, na igwe, na bronz, nke a na-apụghị ịgụta ịdị arọ ha, na osisi, na nkume. I nwere ike itinyekwa ihe ndị ọzọ nʼime ha.
15 Thou hast also workmen in abundance, hewers of stones, and masons, and carpenters, and of all trades the most skillful in their work,
Lee, i nwekwara ọtụtụ ndị ọrụ ndị na-awa nkume, na ndị na-edo nkume, na ndị ọka osisi, na ndị a maara aha ha nʼihe gbasara ǹka nʼọrụ dị iche iche,
16 In gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, whereof there is no number. Arise then, and be doing, and the Lord will be with thee.

17 David also charged all the princes of Israel, to help Solomon his son,
Devid nyere ndịisi Izrel iwu ka ha nyere nwa ya Solomọn aka, mgbe ọ ga-ewu ụlọ ahụ.
18 Saying: You see, that the Lord your God is with you, and hath given you rest round about, and hath delivered all your enemies into your hands, and the land is subdued before the Lord, and before his people.
Ọ gwara ha okwu sị, “Ọ bụ na Onyenwe anyị Chineke anọnyereghị unu? Ọ bụ na o nyebeghị unu udo nʼakụkụ niile? Nʼihi na o nyela m mmeri nʼebe ndị iro m nọ. Ugbu a, ala a dịkwa nʼaka Onyenwe anyị na nʼaka ndị ya.
19 Give therefore your hearts and your souls, to seek the Lord your God: and arise, and build a sanctuary to the Lord God, that the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and the vessels consecrated to the Lord, may be brought into the house, which is built to the name of the Lord.
Ya mere, tinyenụ obi unu na mmụọ unu nʼịgbaso Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu. Malitekwanụ iwu ụlọnsọ Onyenwe anyị Chineke, ka unu nweekwa ike ibubata igbe ọgbụgba ndụ Onyenwe anyị, na ihe nsọ ndị ọzọ nʼime ụlọnsọ ukwu ahụ a ga-ewu nʼihi Aha Onyenwe anyị.”
