1 Chronicles 11
1 Then all Israel gathered themselves to David in Hebron, saying: We are thy bone, and thy flesh.
೧ಅನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ದಾವೀದನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದು ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನಾವು ನಿನಗೆ ರಕ್ತಸಂಬಂಧಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ.
2 Yesterday also, and the day before when Saul was king, thou wast he that leddest out and broughtest in Israel: for the Lord thy God said to thee: Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt; be ruler over them.
೨ಸೌಲನ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ದಳಾಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದವನು ನೀನೇ. ನಿನ್ನ ಕುರಿತು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು, ‘ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ನಾಯಕನೂ, ಪಾಲಕನೂ ಆಗಿರುವಿ’ ಎಂದು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
3 So all the ancients of Israel came to the king to Hebron, and David made a covenant with them before the Lord: and they anointed him king over Israel, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke in the hand of Samuel.
೩ಆಗ ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಬ್ರೋನಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಹಿರಿಯರೆಲ್ಲರೊಡನೆ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಅವರು ಸಮುವೇಲನಿಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ಅಭಿಷೇಕಿಸಿ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
4 And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus, where the Jebusites were the inhabitants of the land.
೪ದಾವೀದನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಕರೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಂದಿನಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಬೂಸೆನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಮುತ್ತಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲು ಹೊರಟನು. ಆ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯದ ಮೂಲನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರು.
5 And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David: Thou shalt not come in here. But David took the castle of Sion, which is the city of David.
೫ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರು ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ಒಳಗೆ ಬರಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಆದರೂ ಅವನು ದಾವೀದನಗರವೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
6 And he said: Whosoever shall first strike the Jebusites, shall be the head and chief captain. And Joab the son of Sarvia went up first, and was made the general.
೬ಆ ದಿನ ದಾವೀದನು ತನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು “ಯಾರು ಯೆಬೂಸಿಯರನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಸೋಲಿಸುವನೋ ಅವನು ದಳಾಧಿಪತಿ ಆಗುವನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನು ಮೊದಲು ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನೇ ದಳಾಧಿಪತಿ ಆದನು.
7 And David dwelt in the castle, and therefore it was called the city of David.
೭ದಾವೀದನು ಆ ಕೋಟೆಯನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ದಾವೀದನಗರ ಎಂದು ಹೆಸರಾಯಿತು.
8 And he built the city round about from Mello all round, and Joab built the rest of the city.
೮ಅವನು ಮಿಲ್ಲೋವಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿ ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೋವಾಬನು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಉಳಿದ ಭಾಗವನ್ನು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
9 And David went on growing and increasing, and the Lord of hosts was with him.
೯ಸೇನಾಧೀಶ್ವರನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ದಾವೀದನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾ ಹೋದನು.
10 These are the chief of the valiant men of David, who helped him to be made king over all Israel, according to the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Israel.
೧೦ರಾಜ್ಯಸಂಬಂಧವಾಗಿ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಸಹಾಯಕರಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರೊಡನೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತದ್ದು.
11 And this is the number of the heroes of David: Jesbaam the son of Hachamoni the chief among the thirty: he lifted up his spear against three hundred wounded by him at one time.
೧೧ದಾವೀದನ ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ: ಹಕ್ಮೋನಿಯನಾದ ಯಾಷೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮೂವತ್ತು ಶೂರರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು. ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಬರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಿ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾರಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು.
12 And after him was Eleazar his uncle’s son the Ahohite, who was one of the three mighties.
೧೨ಎರಡನೆಯವನು ಅಹೋಹ್ಯನಾದ ದೋದೋ ಎಂಬುವವನ ಮಗನಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್ಲಾಜಾರನು. ಇವನೂ ಆ ಮೂವರು ಶೂರರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನು.
13 He was with David in Phesdomim, when the Philistines were gathered to that place to battle: and the field of that country was full of barley, and the people fled from before the Philistines.
೧೩ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಪಸ್ದಮ್ಮೀಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಇವನು ದಾವೀದನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಜವೆಗೋದಿಯ ಹೊಲವಿತ್ತು. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿ ಓಡಿಹೋಗಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ,
14 But these men stood in the midst of the field, and defended it: and they slew the Philistines, and the Lord gave a great deliverance to his people.
೧೪ಆ ವೀರರು ಹೊಲದ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಂತುಕೊಂಡು, ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಹೊಲವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿದರು. ಹೀಗೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಮಹಾ ಜಯವನ್ನುಂಟುಮಾಡಿದನು.
15 And three of the thirty captains went down to the rock, wherein David was, to the cave of Odollam, when the Philistines encamped in the valley of Raphaim.
೧೫ದಾವೀದನು ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್ ಗಿರಿಯ ಗವಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವನ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧಶೂರರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂವರು ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ದಂಡೆತ್ತಿ ಬಂದು ರೆಫಾಯೀಮ್ ತಗ್ಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಳೆಯಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡರು.
16 And David was in a hold, and the garrison of the Philistines in Bethlehem.
೧೬ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರು ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕಾವಲು ದಂಡನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಆಗ ದಾವೀದನು ದುರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದನು.
17 And David longed, and said: O that some man would give me water of the cistern of Bethlehem, which is in the gate.
೧೭ದಾವೀದನು ಲವಲವಿಕೆಯಿಂದ, “ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮ್ ಊರಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನನಗೆ ತಂದು ಕೊಡುವುದಾದರೆ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
18 And these three broke through the midst of the camp of the Philistines, and drew water out of the cistern of Bethlehem, which was in the gate, and brought it to David to drink: and he would not drink of it, but rather offered it to the Lord,
೧೮ಕೂಡಲೆ ಆ ಮೂವರು ವೀರರು ಫಿಲಿಷ್ಟಿಯರ ದಂಡಿನೊಳಗೆ ನುಗ್ಗಿ ಹೋಗಿ, ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮ್ ಬಾಗಿಲ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಬಾವಿಯ ನೀರನ್ನು ಸೇದಿ, ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.
19 Saying: God forbid that I should do this in the sight of my God, and should drink the blood of these men: for with the danger of their lives they have brought me the water. And therefore he would not drink. These things did the three most valiant.
೧೯ಆದರೆ ದಾವೀದನು “ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವವನ್ನು ಪರಿಗಣಿಸದೆ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದರೆ ಈ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ ವೀರರ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದಂತೆ ಆಗುವುದು. ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನನ್ನಿಂದ ಆಗದಂತೆ ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ತಡೆಯಲಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾ, ಆ ನೀರನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುರಿದನು.
20 And Abisai the brother of Joab, he was chief of three, and he lifted up his spear against three hundred whom he slew, and he was renowned among the three,
೨೦ಯೋವಾಬನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಅಬ್ಷೈಯು ಬೇರೆ ಮೂರು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನು. ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಬರ್ಜಿಯನ್ನು ಬೀಸುತ್ತಾ ಹೋಗಿ ಮುನ್ನೂರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಮೂವರಲ್ಲಿ ಕೀರ್ತಿಗೊಂಡನು.
21 And illustrious among the second three, and their captain: but yet he attained not to the first three.
೨೧ಉಳಿದ ಇಬ್ಬರಿಗಿಂತ ಇವನೇ ಘನತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ನಾಯಕನಾದನು. ಆದರೂ ಇವನು ಮೊದಲಿನ ಮೂರು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
22 Banaias the son of Joiada, a most valiant man, of Cabseel, who had done many acts: he slew the two ariels of Moab: and he went down, and killed a lion in the midst of a pit in the time of snow.
೨೨ಅನೇಕ ಶೂರಕೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಡಿಸಿದ ಕಬ್ಜಯೇಲನವನಾದ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಯ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನೂ, ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಬೆನಾಯನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನು. ಇವನು ಒಂದು ಸಾರಿ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯನಾದ ಅರೀಯೇಲನ ಇನ್ನೂರು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು. ಇನ್ನೊಮ್ಮೆ ಹಿಮಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸಿಂಹವು ಗುಂಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರಲು, ಇವನು ಆ ಗುಂಡಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು.
23 And he slew an Egyptian, whose stature was of five cubits, and who had a spear like a weaver’s beam: and he went down to him with a staff, and plucked away the spear, that he held in his hand, and slew him with his own spear.
೨೩ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಏಳುವರೆ ಅಡಿ ಎತ್ತರದ ಅತಿ ಬಲವಾದ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು. ಆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಈಟಿಯು ನೇಕಾರರ ಕುಂಟೆಯಂತಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಇವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಕೋಲನ್ನು ಮಾತ್ರ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಿ ಅವನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಈಟಿಯನ್ನು ಕಿತ್ತುಕೊಂಡು ಅದರಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದನು.
24 These things did Banaias the son of Joiada, who was renowned among the three valiant ones,
೨೪ಈ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮ ಕೃತ್ಯದಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯನು ಈ ಮೂವರಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾದನು.
25 And the first among the thirty, but yet to the three he attained not: and David made him of his council.
೨೫ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಇವನು ವಿಶೇಷ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದರೂ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಮೂವರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನನಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ದಾವೀದನು ಇವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಾವಲುದಂಡಿನ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದನು.
26 Moreover the most valiant men of the army, were Asahel brother of Joab, and Elchanan the son of his uncle of Bethlehem,
೨೬ಯುದ್ಧವೀರರ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಿ: ಯೋವಾಬನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಅಸಾಹೇಲನು, ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮಿನ ದೋದೋವಿನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲ್ಖಾನಾನ್,
27 Sammoth an Arorite, Helles a Phalonite,
೨೭ಹರೋರಿನವನಾದ ಶಮ್ಮೋತ್, ಪೆಲೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಹೆಲೆಚ್,
28 Ira the son of Acces a Thecuite, Abiezer an Anathothite,
೨೮ತೆಕೋವದ ಇಕ್ಕೇಷನ ಮಗನಾದ ಈರ, ಅನತೋತಿನವನಾದ ಅಬೀಯೆಜೆರ,
29 Sobbochai a Husathite, Ilai an Ahohite,
೨೯ಹುಷ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಸಿಬ್ಬೆಕೈ, ಅಹೋಹಿನವನಾದ ಈಲೈ,
30 Maharai a Netophathite, Heled the son of Baana a Netophathite,
೩೦ನೆಟೋಫದವನಾದ ಮಹರೈ ಮತ್ತು ಬಾಣನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹೇಲೆದ್,
31 Ethai the son of Ribai of Gabaath of the sons of Benjamin, Banal a Pharathonite,
೩೧ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ ದೇಶದ ಗಿಬೆಯ ಊರಿನ ರೀಬೈ ಎಂಬುವನ ಮಗನಾದ ಈತೈ. ಪಿರಾತೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಬೆನಾಯ,
32 Hurai of the torrent Gaas, Abiel an Arbathite, Azmoth a Bauramite, Eliaba a Salabonite,
೩೨ಹಲೇಗಾಷಿನವನಾದ ಹೂರೈ, ಅರಾಬಾ ತಗ್ಗಿನವನಾದ ಅಬೀಯೇಲ್,
33 The sons of Assem a, Gezonite, Jonathan the son of Sage an Ararite,
೩೩ಬಹರೂಮ್ಯನಾದ ಅಜ್ಮಾವೆತ್, ಶಾಲ್ಬೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಎಲೆಯಖ್ಬ.
34 Ahiam the son of Sachar an Ararite,
೩೪ಗೀಜೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಹಾಷೇಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಹರಾರ್ಯನಾದ ಶಾಗೇಯನ ಮಗ, ಯೋನಾತಾನ,
35 Eliphal the son of Ur,
೩೫ಹರಾರ್ಯನಾದ ಶಾಕಾರನ ಮಗ ಅಹೀಯಾಮ್, ಊರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಎಲೀಫಲ್,
36 Hepher a Mecherathite, Ahia a Phelonite,
೩೬ಮೆಕೆರಾತ್ಯನಾದ ಹೇಫೆರ್, ಪೆಲೋನ್ಯನಾದ ಅಹೀಯ,
37 Hesro a Carmelite, Naarai the son of Azbai,
೩೭ಕರ್ಮೆಲ್ಯನಾದ ಹಚ್ರೋ, ಎಜ್ಬೈಯ ಮಗನಾದ ನಾರೈ,
38 Joel the brother of Nathan, Mibahar the son of Agarai.
೩೮ನಾತಾನನ ತಮ್ಮನಾದ ಯೋವೇಲ್, ಹಗ್ರೀಯನ ಮಗನಾದ ಮಿಬ್ಹಾರ,
39 Selec an Ammonite, Naharai a Berothite, the armourbearer of Joab the son of Sarvia.
೩೯ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯನಾದ ಚೆಲೆಕ್ ಬೇರೋತ್ಯನೂ ಚೆರೂಯಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಬನೂ ಆಯುಧ ಹೊರುವವನು ಆಗಿದ್ದ ನಹರೈ,
40 Ira a Jethrite, Gareb a Jethrite,
೪೦ಇತ್ರೀಯರಾದ ಈರ, ಗಾರೇಬರು,
41 Urias a Hethite, Zabad the son of Oholi,
೪೧ಹಿತ್ತಿಯನಾದ ಊರೀಯ, ಅಹ್ಲೈಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಜಾಬಾದ್,
42 Adina the son of Siza a Rubenite the prince of the Rubenites, and thirty with him:
೪೨ರೂಬೇನ್ಯನೂ ತನ್ನ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಮೂವತ್ತು ಜನರು. ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥನೂ ಶೀಜನ ಮಗನೂ ಆದ ಅದೀನ
43 Hanan the son of Maacha, and Josaphat a Mathanite,
೪೩ಮಾಕನ ಮಗನಾದ ಹಾನಾನ್, ಮೆತೆನ ಊರಿನವನಾದ ಯೋಷಾಫಾಟ್,
44 Ozia an Astarothite, Samma, and Jehiel the sons of Hotham an Arorite,
೪೪ಅಷ್ಟೆರಾತ್ಯನಾದ ಉಜ್ಜೀಯ, ಅರೋಯೇರಿನ ಹೋತಾಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಶಾಮಾ ಯೆಗೀಯೇಲರು,
45 Jedihel the son of Zamri, and Jobs his brother a Thosaite,
೪೫ಶಿಮ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಎದೀಗಯೇಲ್, ಎದೀಗೇಲನ ತಮ್ಮನೂ ತೀಚೀಯನೂ ಆದ ಯೋಹ,
46 Eliel a Mithumite, and Jeribai, and Josaia the sons of Elnaim, and Jethma a Moabite,
೪೬ಎಲ್ನಾಮನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಮಹವೀಯನಾದ ಎಲೀಯೇಲ್, ಯೆರೀಬೈ ಮತ್ತು ಯೋಷವ್ಯರು. ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯನಾದ ಇತ್ಮ,
47 Eliel, and Obed, and Jasiel of Masobia.
೪೭ಎಲೀಯೇಲ್ ಓಬೇದರು, ಮೆಚೋಬಾಯದವನಾದ ಯಾಸೀಯೇಲನು ಇವರೇ.
