Zechariah 9
1 The burden of the word of Jehovah, in the land of Hadrach, and [on] Damascus shall it rest; (for Jehovah hath an eye upon men, and upon all the tribes of Israel; )
Une révélation. La parole de Yahvé est contre le pays de Hadrach, et se reposera sur Damas. pour l'œil de l'homme et de toutes les tribus d'Israël est vers Yahvé-
2 and also [on] Hamath [which] bordereth thereon; on Tyre and Zidon, though she be very wise.
et aussi Hamath, qui la borde, Tyr et Sidon, car ils sont très sages.
3 And Tyre hath built herself a stronghold, and hath heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.
Tyr s'est construit une forteresse, et a amassé de l'argent comme de la poussière, et l'or fin comme la boue des rues.
4 Behold, the Lord will take possession of her, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.
Voici, le Seigneur va la déposséder, et il frappera sa puissance dans la mer; et elle sera dévorée par le feu.
5 Ashkelon shall see [it], and fear; Gazah also, and she shall be greatly pained; Ekron also, for her expectation shall be put to shame: and the king shall perish from Gazah, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
Ashkelon le verra et aura peur; Gaza aussi, et se tordra de douleur; tout comme Ekron, car ses attentes seront déçues; et le roi périra à Gaza, et Ashkelon ne sera pas habitée.
6 And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines;
Les étrangers habiteront à Ashdod, et je couperai l'orgueil des Philistins.
7 and I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; but he that remaineth, he also shall belong to our God, and shall be as a leader in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.
J'enlèverai son sang de sa bouche, et ses abominations d'entre ses dents; et lui aussi sera un reste pour notre Dieu; et il sera comme un chef en Judée, et Ekron comme Jébusite.
8 And I will encamp about my house because of the army, because of those that pass by and that return; and the exactor shall not pass through them any more: for now have I seen [it] with mine eyes.
Je camperai autour de ma maison contre l'armée, que personne ne passe ou ne revienne; et aucun oppresseur ne les traversera plus: car maintenant j'ai vu de mes yeux.
9 Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion; shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, thy King cometh to thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Réjouis-toi, fille de Sion! Crie, fille de Jérusalem! Voici que votre Roi vient à vous! Il est juste, et il a le salut; humble, et monté sur un âne, même sur un poulain, le petit d'un âne.
10 And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle-bow shall be cut off. And he shall speak peace unto the nations; and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.
J'enlèverai le char d'Ephraïm. et le cheval de Jérusalem. L'arc de bataille sera coupé; et il parlera de paix aux nations. Sa domination s'étendra d'une mer à l'autre, et depuis le fleuve jusqu'aux extrémités de la terre.
11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant, I will send forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.
Et pour vous aussi, à cause du sang de ton alliance, J'ai libéré tes prisonniers de la fosse où il n'y a pas d'eau.
12 Turn again to the stronghold, prisoners of hope! even to-day do I declare I will render double unto thee.
Tournez vers la forteresse, prisonniers de l'espoir! Aujourd'hui encore, je déclare que je vous rendrai le double.
13 For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will raise up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and make thee like the sword of a mighty man.
En effet, je plie Juda comme un arc pour moi. J'ai chargé l'arc d'Ephraïm. Je vais réveiller tes fils, Sion, contre tes fils, la Grèce, et te rendra semblable à l'épée d'un homme puissant.
14 And Jehovah shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet, and will march with whirlwinds of the south.
L'Éternel se manifestera sur eux. Sa flèche brillera comme un éclair. Le Seigneur Yahvé soufflera dans la trompette, et s'en ira avec les tourbillons du sud.
15 Jehovah of hosts will defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling-stones; and they shall drink, [and] make a noise as from wine; and they shall be filled like a bowl, like the corners of the altar.
L'Éternel des armées les défendra. Ils vont détruire et vaincre avec des pierres de fronde. Ils boiront et rugiront comme du vin. Ils seront remplis comme des bols, comme les coins de l'autel.
16 And Jehovah their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people; for [they shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted up upon his land.
Yahvé, leur Dieu, les sauvera en ce jour-là comme le troupeau de son peuple; car ils sont comme les joyaux d'une couronne, qui s'élève au-dessus de son pays.
17 For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! Corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.
Car combien grande est sa bonté, et comme sa beauté est grande! Le grain fera prospérer les jeunes hommes, et le vin nouveau les vierges.
