< Zechariah 3 >
1 And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of Jehovah, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.
Afei ɔkyerɛɛ me ɔsɔfopanyin Yosua a ogyina Awurade bɔfo anim, na Satan gyina ne nifa so rebɛbɔ no sobo.
2 And Jehovah said unto Satan, Jehovah rebuke thee, O Satan! Yea, Jehovah that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee! Is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?
Na Awurade ka kyerɛɛ Satan se, “Awurade nka wʼanim, Satan! Awurade a wafa Yerusalem no, nka wʼanim. Saa ɔbarima yi nyɛ gyentia a wɔatu afi ogya mu ana?”
3 And Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the Angel.
Na Yosua hyɛ ntadefi, bere a ogyina ɔbɔfo no anim.
4 And he spoke and said unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from off him. And unto him he said, See, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I clothe thee with festival-robes.
Ɔbɔfo no ka kyerɛɛ wɔn a wogyinagyina nʼanim no se, “Munnyi ne ho ntadefi no.” Afei ɔka kyerɛɛ Yosua se, “Hwɛ, mayi wo bɔne afi wo so, na mede ntade a ɛyɛ fɛ bɛhyɛ wo.”
5 And I said, Let them set a pure turban upon his head. And they set the pure turban upon his head, and clothed him with garments; and the Angel of Jehovah stood by.
Afei mekae se, “Momfa abotiri a ani tew mmɔ ne ti.” Enti wɔde abotiri a ani tew bɔɔ no, na wɔhyɛɛ no atade, bere a Awurade bɔfo no gyina hɔ.
6 And the Angel of Jehovah protested unto Joshua, saying,
Na Awurade bɔfo de saa akwankyerɛ yi maa Yosua:
7 Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts; and I will give thee a place to walk among these that stand by.
“Sɛɛ na Asafo Awurade se: ‘Sɛ wobɛyɛ osetie ama me na woayɛ mʼapɛde a, ɛno de, wubedi me fi so na woahwɛ mʼabangua so, na mɛma wo baabi atena wɔ nnipa a wogyinagyina ha yi mu.
8 Hear now, Joshua the high priest, thou and thy fellows that sit before thee — for they are men of portent — for behold, I will bring forth my servant the Branch.
“‘Tie, Ɔsɔfopanyin Yosua, wo ne wo nkurɔfo a wɔtete wʼanim yi, moyɛ nnipa a wogyina hɔ ma nneɛma a ɛrebesisi: Mede me somfo, Dubaa no bɛba.
9 For behold, the stone that I have laid before Joshua — upon one stone are seven eyes; behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith Jehovah of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day.
Hwɛ, ɔbo a mede asi Yosua anim! Ani ason na etuatua saa ɔbo baako no ho, na mikurukyerɛw biribi wɔ so,’ sɛnea Asafo Awurade se ni, ‘na mede da koro pɛ bɛpepa asase yi so bɔne.
10 In that day, saith Jehovah of hosts, shall ye invite every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig-tree.
“‘Saa da no mo mu biara bɛto nsa afrɛ ne yɔnko ne no akɔtena ne ngodua ne borɔdɔma dua ase,’ sɛnea Asafo Awurade se ni.”
