< Romans 9 >

1 I say [the] truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience bearing witness with me in [the] Holy Spirit,
Chong diktak ki ril ani; Khrista taka kini milak ril mu ung. Ki sielesarietna Ratha Inthieng ruoina han khom milak tho mu ung ti mi minthâr ani.
2 that I have great grief and uninterrupted pain in my heart,
Ku mulung dûktongna lientak le mulung nanah boi theiloi ko dôn tie ki ti zora hin,
3 for I have wished, I myself, to be a curse from the Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen, according to flesh;
Ki mingei, taksa tienga ki richibulngei ruthûla hin Pathien khomâksâmin Khrista renga minsenin om inlang chu ku nuom ngâi.
4 who are Israelites; whose [is] the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the law-giving, and the service, and the promises;
Pathien mingei an nia, aman a nâingeiin a sin ngeia, an kôm a roiinpuina ngei a minlanga; chonginkhitngei a sinpui ngeia male Balam ngei a pêk ngeia; Sava diktak an dônna; Pathien chonginkhâmngei an man ani;
5 whose [are] the fathers; and of whom, as according to flesh, [is] the Christ, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Richibulngei inthang tak Hebrew jâisuon an nia, taksa tieng roia chu Khrista reng khom hah an rûia mi ani. Jâttin chunga roijêkpu Pathien chu tuonsôtin! minpâkin om rese, Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Not however as though the word of God had failed; for not all [are] Israel which [are] of Israel;
Pathien chonginkhâm hah ite asena ommak ki tina ni riek mak. Israelngei nâm hah anrêngin Pathien mi ni zit mak ngei.
7 nor because they are seed of Abraham [are] all children: but, In Isaac shall a seed be called to thee.
Abraham richi murdi khom anrêngin Pathien nâingei ni let uol mak ngei, “Isaac hin nu rûi isûi nîng atih,” Pathien'n a ti pe ani.
8 That is, [they that are] the children of the flesh, these [are] not the children of God; but the children of the promise are reckoned as seed.
Ma hah taksa lama a nâingei hah Pathien nâingei nimak ngei, chonginkhâm nâingei hah kêng Abraham richi diktaka be an ni tina ani.
9 For this word [is] of promise, According to this time I will come, and there shall be a son to Sarah.
Pathien chonginkhâm hah mahi ani “Azora taka juong nôk ka ta, Sarah'n nâipasal nei atih,” ti hi.
10 And not only [that], but Rebecca having conceived by one, Isaac our father,
Ma vai hah nimaka, Rebecca han ei richibul Isaac renga nâi inphîr a neia.
11 [the children] indeed being not yet born, or having done anything good or worthless (that the purpose of God according to election might abide, not of works, but of him that calls),
Nâite ngei an la suok mân, sielesa an tho thei mân Pathien'n a lungdo angin inkhat lam a thang ani ti ânlang. Sintho sik ni loiin a koipu lungdo sikin Rebecca kôm, “A ulienpu'n nâipangpu sin thông atih,” Pathien'n a ti hah.
12 it was said to her, The greater shall serve the less:
13 according as it is written, I have loved Jacob, and I have hated Esau.
Pathien lekhabu'n, “Jacob ku lungkhama, aniatachu Esau chu ke heng,” ati anghan.
14 What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? Far be the thought.
Hanchu, imo ei ti rang ani zoi? Pathien han dik zoi loina aom mini? Nitet mak.
15 For he says to Moses, I will shew mercy to whom I will shew mercy, and I will feel compassion for whom I will feel compassion.
Ama han Moses kôm han, “Ku nunuom moroi ka ta, ku nunuom chunga inriengmu ki tih a ti anghan.”
16 So then [it is] not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shews mercy.
Masikin, miriem nuom sika le sin tho sika niloiin Pathien inriengmuna sikin kêng ani.
17 For the scripture says to Pharaoh, For this very thing I have raised thee up from amongst [men], that I might thus shew in thee my power, and so that my name should be declared in all the earth.
Pathien lekhabu'n Pharaoh kôm, “Ki sinthotheina ki minlang theina rang le rammuol pumpuia ki riming ânthang theina rang pielin rêngin nang ku phun ani,” a ti.
18 So then, to whom he will he shews mercy, and whom he will he hardens.
Ma anghan Pathien'n a nuom kai inriengmuna a neia, a nuom kai a mulung a minngar ngâi ani.
19 Thou wilt say to me then, Why does he yet find fault? for who resists his purpose?
Ma anghan aninte, “Pathien'n irangin mo mi a lei dem tit rêka? A lungdo hah tumo a makhal theia?” mi nin ti thei.
20 Aye, but thou, O man, who art thou that answerest again to God? Shall the thing formed say to him that has formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
Hannirese, O miriem, Pathien makhalpu hah tumo ni ni? bêlpil han a sinpu rekel ngâi mak, “Irangin mo hi anghin mi ni sin?” ati rang mini?
21 Or has not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honour, and another to dishonour?
Bêlpil tangkhat renga bêl a lut uol, anem uola sin rangin bêl sinpu han bêlpil chunga racham a dôn nimak mo?
22 And if God, minded to shew his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much long-suffering vessels of wrath fitted for destruction;
Ma anghan Pathien'n a tho ngâi, a taksina le a sinthotheina minlang nuom khomrese, a taksina changpu bêl inmang kelen ruo ngei chu a tuong zajâma.
23 and that he might make known the riches of his glory upon vessels of mercy, which he had before prepared for glory,
Hanchu, a inriengmuna bêl a roiinpuina chang ranga a minsûk, eini ngei kôma hin a roiinpuina tamtak a juong vur ani.
24 us, whom he has also called, not only from amongst [the] Jews, but also from amongst [the] nations?
Ma anga bêlngei hah eini Judangei lâia vai niloiin Jentailngei lâi renga a koi ngei khom ei ni sa.
25 As he says also in Hosea, I will call not-my-people My people; and the-not-beloved Beloved.
Hosea lekhabua, “Ki mi ni ngâi loi ngei hah ‘ki mingei’ tîng ka ta. Lungkham ku mu ngâi loi nu hah ‘Lungkhamnu’ tîng ki tih.
26 And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, Ye [are] not my people, there shall they be called Sons of [the] living God.
‘Ki mingei nimak chei’ a tina mun lelê han Pathien a ring nâingeiin bên om an tih,” tia a lei misîr anghan.
27 But Esaias cries concerning Israel, Should the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant shall be saved:
Isaiah khom han Israelngei chong hêt puiin “Israelngei hah tuikhangliena sietsai dôr tam khomrese ngei, mi tômte kêng sanminringa om rang an ni.
28 for [he] is bringing the matter to an end, and [cutting [it] short in righteousness; because] a cutting short of the matter will [the] Lord accomplish upon the earth.
Pumapa'n pilchunga a roijêkna rang hah a jêk kelen rang sikin,” a ti hah.
29 And according as Esaias said before, Unless [the] Lord of hosts had left us a seed, we had been as Sodom, and made like even as Gomorrha.
Isaiah nanâkin, “Pumapa Râtinchung han suonpâr mi lei hôih pe no rese chu, Sodom anghan nîng ei ti zoia. Gomorrah angtakin nîng ei ti zoi,” tia a lei ril anghan.
30 What then shall we say? That [they of the] nations, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, but [the] righteousness that is on the principle of faith.
Imo ei ti rang ani zoi? Jentailngei, Pathien taka dikna zong loi ngei hah taksônna sikin dik an hong intum zoi ani.
31 But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to [that] law.
Balam jôma adik chang rang bôk Pathien mi Israelngei hanchu balam angtakin dik chang makngei.
32 Wherefore? Because [it was] not on the principle of faith, but as of works. They have stumbled at the stumblingstone,
Itho sikin mo? Taksônnân minngam loiin sintho nân an zong sika ani. Masikin “Inpalna rang lunga” an inpal zoia.
33 according as it is written, Behold, I place in Zion a stone of stumbling and rock of offence: and he that believes on him shall not be ashamed.
Pathien lekhabu'n, “En roh! Keiman Ziona han lungpui ka dara mahan mingei minpal a ta, ma lungpui han minlet ngei atih. Tutu khom ama iem murdi'n chu mâimôkinshakin om noni ngei,” tia inziek anghan.
