Romans 10

1 Brethren, the delight of my own heart and my supplication which [I address] to God for them is for salvation.

१बंधूंनो, त्यांचे तारण व्हावे, ही माझ्या मनाची कळकळीची इच्छा व माझी त्यांच्याकरिता देवाजवळ विनंती आहे.

2 For I bear them witness that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

२कारण त्यांच्याविषयी मी साक्ष देतो की, त्यांना देवाविषयी ईर्ष्या आहे, पण ती ज्ञानामुळे नाही.

3 For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own [righteousness], have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

३कारण ते देवाच्या नीतिमत्त्वाविषयी अज्ञानी असता आणि स्वतःचे नीतिमत्त्व प्रस्थापित करू पाहत असता ते देवाच्या नीतिमत्त्वाला वश झाले नाहीत.

4 For Christ is [the] end of law for righteousness to every one that believes.

४कारण ख्रिस्त हा विश्वास ठेवणार्‍या प्रत्येकाला नीतिमत्त्वासाठी नियमशास्त्राचा शेवट आहे.

5 For Moses lays down in writing the righteousness which is of the law, The man who has practised those things shall live by them.

५कारण नियमशास्त्राने प्राप्त होणार्‍या नीतिमत्त्वाविषयी मोशे लिहितो की, ‘जो मनुष्य ते आचरतो तो त्याद्वारे जगेल.’

6 But the righteousness of faith speaks thus: Do not say in thine heart, Who shall ascend to the heavens? that is, to bring Christ down;

६पण विश्वासाने प्राप्त होणारे नीतिमत्त्व असे म्हणते की, तू आपल्या मनात म्हणू नकोस की, स्वर्गात कोण चढेल? (म्हणजे ख्रिस्ताला खाली आणण्यास)

7 or, Who shall descend into the abyss? that is, to bring up Christ from among [the] dead. (Abyssos g12)

७किंवा मृतलोकात कोण उतरेल? (म्हणजे ख्रिस्ताला मरण पावलेल्यांमधून वर आणण्यास) (Abyssos g12)

8 But what says it? The word is near thee, in thy mouth and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach:

८पण ते काय म्हणते? ते वचन तुझ्याजवळ, ते तुझ्या मुखात व तुझ्या अंतःकरणात आहे. म्हणजे आम्ही ज्याची घोषणा करतो ते विश्वासाचे वचन हे आहे.

9 that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe in thine heart that God has raised him from among [the] dead, thou shalt be saved.

९कारण येशू प्रभू आहे असे जर तू आपल्या मुखाने कबूल करशील आणि देवाने त्यास मरण पावलेल्यांमधून उठवले असा आपल्या अंतःकरणात विश्वास ठेवशील तर तुझे तारण होईल.

10 For with [the] heart is believed to righteousness; and with [the] mouth confession made to salvation.

१०कारण जो अंतःकरणाने विश्वास ठेवतो तो नीतिमान ठरतो व जो मुखाने कबूल करतो त्याचे तारण होते.

11 For the scripture says, No one believing on him shall be ashamed.

११म्हणून शास्त्रलेख म्हणतो की, ‘जो कोणी त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवतो तो लज्जित होणार नाही.’

12 For there is no difference of Jew and Greek; for the same Lord of all [is] rich towards all that call upon him.

१२यहूदी व हेल्लेणी ह्यांच्यात फरक नाही, कारण तोच प्रभू सर्वांवर असून जे त्याचा धावा करतात त्या सर्वांसाठी तो संपन्न आहे,

13 For every one whosoever, who shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved.

१३‘कारण जो कोणी प्रभूच्या नावाचा धावा करील त्याचे तारण होईल.’

14 How then shall they call upon him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe on him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without one who preaches?

१४मग ज्याच्यावर त्यांनी विश्वास ठेवला नाही त्याचा ते कसा धावा करतील? आणि ज्याच्याविषयी त्यांनी ऐकले नाही त्याच्यावर ते कसा विश्वास ठेवतील? आणि घोषणा करणार्‍याशिवाय ते कसे ऐकतील?

15 and how shall they preach unless they have been sent? according as it is written, How beautiful the feet of them that announce glad tidings of peace, of them that announce glad tidings of good things!

१५आणि त्यांना पाठविल्याशिवाय ते कशी घोषणा करतील? कारण पवित्र शास्त्रात असे लिहिले आहे की, ‘जे चांगल्या गोष्टींची सुवार्ता सांगतात त्यांचे पाय किती सुंदर आहेत!’

16 But they have not all obeyed the glad tidings. For Esaias says, Lord, who has believed our report?

१६पण सर्वांनीच सुवार्तेचे आज्ञापालन केले नाही, कारण यशया म्हणतो की, ‘प्रभू, आमच्याकडून ऐकले त्यावर कोणी विश्वास ठेवला आहे?’

17 So faith then [is] by a report, but the report by God's word.

१७तर मग ऐकण्यामुळे विश्वास होतो आणि ख्रिस्ताच्या वचनामुळे ऐकणे होते.

18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yea, surely, Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the extremities of the habitable world.

१८पण मी म्हणतो की त्यांनी ऐकले नव्हते काय? हो, खचित ऐकले; ‘सर्व पृथ्वीवर त्यांचा आवाज आणि जगाच्या टोकापर्यंत त्यांचे शब्द पोहोचले आहेत.’

19 But I say, Has not Israel known? First, Moses says, I will provoke you to jealousy through [them that are] not a nation: through a nation without understanding I will anger you.

१९पण मी म्हणतो की, इस्राएलाला कळले नव्हते काय? प्रथम मोशे म्हणतो, ‘जे राष्ट्र नाहीत त्यांच्याकडून. मी तुम्हास ईर्ष्येस चढवीन, एका निर्बुद्ध राष्ट्राकडून मी तुम्हास चेतवीन.’

20 But Esaias is very bold, and says, I have been found by those not seeking me; I have become manifest to those not inquiring after me.

२०पण यशया फार धीट होऊन म्हणतो की, ‘ज्यांनी माझा शोध केला नाही त्यांना मी सापडलो आहे, ज्यांनी माझ्याविषयी विचारले नाही त्यांना प्राप्त झालो आहे.’

21 But unto Israel he says, All the day long I have stretched out my hands unto a people disobeying and opposing.

२१पण इस्राएलाविषयी तो म्हणतो, ‘मी एका, अवमान करणार्‍या आणि उलटून बोलणार्‍या प्रजेपुढे दिवसभर माझे हात पसरले.’
