< Revelation 1 >
1 Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to shew to his bondmen what must shortly take place; and he signified [it], sending by his angel, to his bondman John,
Ìfihàn ti Jesu Kristi, tí Ọlọ́run fi fún un, láti fihàn fún àwọn ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀, ohun tí kò le ṣàìṣẹ ní lọ́ọ́lọ́ọ́; ó sì ránṣẹ́, ó sì fi í hàn láti ọwọ́ angẹli rẹ̀ wá fún Johanu, ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀,
2 who testified the word of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things that he saw.
ẹni tí ó jẹ́rìí ohun gbogbo tí ó rí, èyí ì ni ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti ẹ̀rí ti Jesu Kristi.
3 Blessed [is] he that reads, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep the things written in it; for the time [is] near.
Ẹni ìbùkún ni ẹni tí ń kà, àti àwọn tí ó ń gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ ìsọtẹ́lẹ̀ yìí, tí ó sì ń pa nǹkan wọ̀n-ọn-nì tí a kọ sínú rẹ̀ mọ́, nítorí ìgbà kù sí dẹ̀dẹ̀.
4 John to the seven assemblies which [are] in Asia: Grace to you and peace from [him] who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits which [are] before his throne;
Johanu, Sí àwọn ìjọ méje tí ń bẹ ní Asia: Oore-ọ̀fẹ́ fún yín, àti àlàáfíà, láti ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí ó ń bẹ, tí ó sì ti wà, tí ó sì ń bọ̀ wá; àti láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ẹ̀mí méje tí ń bẹ níwájú ìtẹ́ rẹ̀;
5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,
àti láti ọ̀dọ̀ Jesu Kristi, ẹlẹ́rìí olóòtítọ́, àkọ́bí nínú àwọn òkú, àti aláṣẹ àwọn ọba ayé. Ẹni tí ó fẹ́ wa, ẹni tí ó gbà wá kúrò lọ́wọ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wa nípa ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀,
6 and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father: to him [be] the glory and the might to the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn )
tí ó sì ti fi wá jẹ ọba àti àlùfáà láti sin Ọlọ́run àti Baba rẹ; tirẹ̀ ni ògo àti ìjọba láé àti láéláé. Àmín. (aiōn )
7 Behold, he comes with the clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they which have pierced him, and all the tribes of the land shall wail because of him. Yea. Amen.
“Kíyèsi i, o ń bọ̀ nínú àwọsánmọ̀, gbogbo ojú ni yóò sì rí i, àti àwọn tí ó gún un ní ọ̀kọ̀ pẹ̀lú”; àti gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè ayé ni “yóò sì máa pohùnréré ẹkún nítorí rẹ̀.”
8 I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith [the] Lord God, he who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.
“Èmi ni Alfa àti Omega,” ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run wí, “ẹni tí ó ń bẹ, tí ó ti wà, tí ó sì ń bọ̀ wá, alágbára.”
9 I John, your brother and fellow-partaker in the tribulation and kingdom and patience, in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.
Èmi, Johanu, arákùnrin yín àti alábápín pẹ̀lú yín nínú wàhálà àti ìjọba àti sùúrù tí ń bẹ nínú Jesu, wà ní erékúṣù tí a ń pè ní Patmo, nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti nítorí ẹ̀rí Jesu Kristi.
10 I became in [the] Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet,
Mo wà nínú Ẹ̀mí ní ọjọ́ Olúwa, mo sì gbọ́ ohùn ńlá kan lẹ́yìn mi, bí ìró ìpè,
11 saying, What thou seest write in a book, and send to the seven assemblies: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.
Ó ń wí pé, “Kọ́ ìwé rẹ̀, ohun tí ìwọ rí, kí ó sí fi ránṣẹ́ sí àwọn ìjọ méje; sí Efesu, àti sí Smirna, àti sí Pargamu, àti sí Tiatira, àti sí Sardi, àti sí Filadelfia, àti sí Laodikea.”
12 And I turned back to see the voice which spoke with me; and having turned, I saw seven golden lamps,
Mo sì yí padà láti wo ohùn tí ń bá mi sọ̀rọ̀. Nígbà tí mo yípadà, mo rí ọ̀pá fìtílà wúrà méje,
13 and in the midst of the [seven] lamps [one] like [the] Son of man, clothed with a garment reaching to the feet, and girt about at the breasts with a golden girdle:
àti láàrín àwọn ọ̀pá fìtílà náà, ẹnìkan tí ó dàbí “ọmọ ènìyàn,” tí a wọ̀ ní aṣọ tí ó kanlẹ̀ dé ẹsẹ̀, tí a sì fi àmùrè wúrà dì ní ẹ̀gbẹ́.
14 his head and hair white like white wool, as snow; and his eyes as a flame of fire;
Orí rẹ̀ àti irun rẹ̀ funfun bí ẹ̀gbọ̀n òwú, ó funfun bí yìnyín; ojú rẹ̀ sì dàbí, ọwọ́ iná.
15 and his feet like fine brass, as burning in a furnace; and his voice as the voice of many waters;
Ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì dàbí idẹ dáradára, bí ẹni pé a dà á nínú ìléru; ohùn rẹ̀ sì dàbí ìró omi púpọ̀.
16 and having in his right hand seven stars; and out of his mouth a sharp two-edged sword going forth; and his countenance as the sun shines in its power.
Ó sì ní ìràwọ̀ méje ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀; àti láti ẹnu rẹ̀ wá ni idà olójú méjì mímú ti jáde. Ojú rẹ̀ sì dàbí oòrùn tí ó ń fi agbára rẹ̀ hàn.
17 And when I saw him I fell at his feet as dead; and he laid his right hand upon me, saying, Fear not; I am the first and the last,
Nígbà tí mo rí i, mo wólẹ̀ ní ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ bí ẹni tí ó kú. Ó sì fi ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀ lé mi, ó ń wí fún mi pé, “Má ṣe bẹ̀rù. Èmi ni ẹni ìṣáájú àti ẹni ìkẹyìn.
18 and the living one: and I became dead, and behold, I am living to the ages of ages, and have the keys of death and of hades. (aiōn , Hadēs )
Èmi ni ẹni tí ó ń bẹ láààyè, tí ó sì ti kú; sì kíyèsi i, èmi sì ń bẹ láààyè sí i títí láé! Mo sì ní kọ́kọ́rọ́ ikú àti ti ipò òkú lọ́wọ́. (aiōn , Hadēs )
19 Write therefore what thou hast seen, and the things that are, and the things that are about to be after these.
“Kọ̀wé nítorí náà ohun tí ìwọ ti rí, àti ti ohun tí ń bẹ, àti ti ohun tí yóò hù lẹ́yìn èyí;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou hast seen on my right hand, and the seven golden lamps. — The seven stars are angels of the seven assemblies; and the seven lamps are seven assemblies.
ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ tí ìràwọ̀ méje náà tí ìwọ rí ní ọwọ́ ọ̀tún mi, àti ọ̀pá wúrà fìtílà méje náà. Ìràwọ̀ méje ni àwọn angẹli ìjọ méje náà: àti ọ̀pá fìtílà méje náà ní àwọn ìjọ méje.
