< Revelation 9 >
1 And the fifth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I saw a star out of the heaven fallen to the earth; and there was given to it the key of the pit of the abyss. (Abyssos )
Angẹli karùn-ún sì fún ìpè tirẹ̀, mo sì rí, ìràwọ̀ kan bọ́ sílẹ̀ láti ọ̀run wá, a sì fi kọ́kọ́rọ́ ihò ọ̀gbun fún un. (Abyssos )
2 And it opened the pit of the abyss; and there went up smoke out of the pit as [the] smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened with the smoke of the pit. (Abyssos )
Ó sì ṣí ihò ọ̀gbun náà, èéfín sì rú jáde láti inú ihò náà wá, bí èéfín ìléru ńlá, oòrùn àti ojú sánmọ̀ sì ṣókùnkùn nítorí èéfín ihò náà. (Abyssos )
3 And out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them as the scorpions of the earth have power;
Àwọn eṣú sì jáde ti inú èéfín náà wá sórí ilẹ̀, a sì fi agbára fún wọn gẹ́gẹ́ bí agbára àkéekèe ilẹ̀.
4 and it was said to them, that they should not injure the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but the men who have not the seal of God on their foreheads:
A sì fún wọn pé ki wọn má ṣe pa koríko ilẹ̀ lára tàbí ohun tútù kan, tàbí igikígi kan; bí kò ṣe àwọn ènìyàn tí kò ni èdìdì Ọlọ́run ní iwájú wọn.
5 and it was given to them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months; and their torment [was] as [the] torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man.
A sì pàṣẹ fún wọn pé, kí wọn má ṣe pa wọ́n, ṣùgbọ́n kí a dá wọn ni oró ni oṣù márùn-ún, oró wọn sì dàbí oró àkéekèe, nígbà tí o bá ta ènìyàn.
6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall in no way find it; and shall desire to die, and death flees from them.
Ní ọjọ́ wọ̀nyí ni àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì máa wá ikú, wọn kì yóò sì rí i; wọn yóò sì fẹ́ láti kú, ikú yóò sì sá kúrò lọ́dọ̀ wọn.
7 And the likenesses of the locusts [were] like to horses prepared for war; and upon their heads as crowns like gold, and their faces as faces of men;
Ìrísí àwọn eṣú náà sì dàbí àwọn ẹṣin tí a múra sílẹ̀ fún ogun; àti ní orí wọn ni ohun tí o dàbí àwọn adé wúrà wà, ojú wọn sì dàbí ojú ènìyàn;
8 and they had hair as women's hair, and their teeth were as of lions,
wọ́n sì ní irun bí obìnrin, eyín wọn sì dàbí ti kìnnìún.
9 and they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to war;
Wọ́n sì ní ìgbàyà tí ó dàbí ìgbàyà irin; ìró ìyẹ́ wọn sì dàbí ìró kẹ̀kẹ́-ẹṣin púpọ̀ tí ń súré lọ sí ogun.
10 and they have tails like scorpions, and stings; and their power [was] in their tails to hurt men five months.
Wọ́n sì ni ìrù àti oró bí tí àkéekèe, àti ní ìrù wọn ni agbára wọn wà láti pa ènìyàn lára fún oṣù márùn-ún.
11 They have a king over them, the angel of the abyss: his name in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in Greek he has [for] name Apollyon. (Abyssos )
Wọ́n ní angẹli ọ̀gbun náà bí ọba lórí wọn, orúkọ rẹ̀ ní èdè Heberu ní Abaddoni, àti ni èdè Giriki orúkọ rẹ̀ a máa jẹ́ Apollioni (èyí ni Apanirun). (Abyssos )
12 The first woe has passed. Behold, there come yet two woes after these things.
Ègbé kan tí kọjá, kíyèsi i, ègbé méjì ń bọ̀ síbẹ̀ lẹ́yìn èyí.
13 And the sixth angel sounded [his] trumpet: and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which [is] before God,
Angẹli kẹfà si fọn ìpè rẹ̀, mo sì gbọ́ ohùn kan láti ibi ìwo mẹ́rin pẹpẹ wúrà wá, tí ń bẹ níwájú Ọlọ́run.
14 saying to the sixth angel that had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound at the great river Euphrates.
Òun wí fún angẹli kẹfà náà tí o ni ìpè náà pé, “Tú àwọn angẹli mẹ́rin náà sílẹ̀ tí a dè lẹ́bàá odò ńlá Eufurate!”
15 And the four angels were loosed, who are prepared for the hour and day and month and year, that they might slay the third part of men;
A sì tú àwọn angẹli mẹ́rin náà sílẹ̀, tí a ti pèsè tẹ́lẹ̀ fún wákàtí náà, àti ọjọ́ náà, àti oṣù náà, àti ọdún náà, láti pa ìdámẹ́ta ènìyàn.
16 and the number of the hosts of horse [was] twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.
Iye ogún àwọn ẹlẹ́ṣin sì jẹ́ àádọ́ta ọ̀kẹ́ lọ́nà igba, mo sì gbọ́ iye wọn.
17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those that sat upon them, having breastplates of fire and jacinth and brimstone; and the heads of the horses [were] as heads of lions, and out of their mouths goes out fire and smoke and brimstone.
Báyìí ni mo sì rí àwọn ẹṣin náà ní ojúran, àti àwọn tí o gùn wọ́n, wọ́n ni ìgbàyà aláwọ̀ iná, àti ti jakinti, àti ti sulfuru, orí àwọn ẹṣin náà sì dàbí orí àwọn kìnnìún; àti láti ẹnu wọn ni iná, àti èéfín, àti sulfuru tí ń jáde.
18 By these three plagues were the third part of men killed, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which goes out of their mouths.
Nípa ìyọnu mẹ́ta wọ̀nyí ni a tí pa ìdámẹ́ta ènìyàn, nípa iná, àti nípa èéfín, àti nípa sulfuru tí o ń tí ẹnu wọn jáde.
19 For the power of the horses is in their mouth and in their tails: for their tails [are] like serpents, having heads, and with them they injure.
Nítorí pé agbára àwọn ẹṣin náà ń bẹ ní ẹnu wọn àti ní ìrù wọn: nítorí pé ìrù wọn dàbí ejò, wọn sì ní orí, àwọn wọ̀nyí ni wọn sì fi ń pa ni lára.
20 And the rest of men who were not killed with these plagues repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and the golden and silver and brazen and stone and wooden idols, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ènìyàn ìyókù tí a kò sì ti ipa ìyọnu wọ̀nyí pa, kò sì ronúpìwàdà iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ wọn, kí wọn má ṣe sin àwọn ẹ̀mí èṣù àti ère wúrà, àti ti fàdákà, àti ti idẹ, àti òkúta, àti ti igi mọ́: àwọn tí kò lè ríran, tàbí kí wọn gbọ́rọ̀, tàbí kí wọn rìn.
21 And they repented not of their murders, nor of their witchcrafts, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni wọn kò ronúpìwàdà ìwà ìpànìyàn wọn, tàbí oṣó wọn tàbí àgbèrè wọn, tàbí olè wọn.
