Revelation 7

1 And after this I saw four angels standing upon the four corners of the earth, holding fast the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor upon any tree.

Ezután négy angyalt láttam állni a föld négy sarkán, amint féken tartották a föld négy szelét, hogy a szél ne fújjon a földre, se a tengerre, se élő fára.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from [the] sunrising, having [the] seal of [the] living God; and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it had been given to hurt the earth and the sea,

Egy másik angyalt is láttam feljönni napkelet felől, akinek kezében volt az élő Isten pecsétje, és hangos szóval kiáltott a négy angyalnak, akiknek megadatott, hogy ártsanak a földnek és a tengernek

3 saying, Hurt not the earth, nor the sea, nor the trees, until we shall have sealed the bondmen of our God upon their foreheads.

és így szólt: „Ne ártsatok se a földnek, se a tengernek, se a fáknak, addig, amíg homlokukon meg nem pecsételjük a mi Istenünknek szolgáit“.

4 And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred [and] forty-four thousand, sealed out of every tribe of [the] sons of Israel:

És hallottam a megpecsételtek számát: Száznegyvennégyezer, Izrael fiainak minden törzséből.

5 out of [the] tribe of Juda, twelve thousand sealed; out of [the] tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Gad, twelve thousand;

Júda törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Rúben törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Gád törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt,

6 out of [the] tribe of Aser, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Nepthalim, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Manasseh, twelve thousand;

Ásér törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Naftáli törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Manassé törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt,

7 out of [the] tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Levi, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand;

Simeon törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Lévi törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Issakár törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt.

8 out of [the] tribe of Zabulun, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand; out of [the] tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand sealed.

Zebulón törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, József törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt, Benjámin törzséből tizenkétezer elpecsételt.

9 After these things I saw, and lo, a great crowd, which no one could number, out of every nation and tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palm branches in their hands.

Ezután láttam: íme egy nagy sokaság, amelyet senki meg nem számlálhatott, minden nemzetből és törzsből, népből és nyelvből és a királyi szék előtt és a Bárány előtt álltak fehér ruhába öltözve és kezükben pálmaágak,

10 And they cry with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb.

és hangos szóval kiáltották: „Az üdvösség a mi Istenünké, aki a királyi széken ül és a Bárányé!“

11 And all the angels stood around the throne, and the elders, and the four living creatures, and fell before the throne upon their faces, and worshipped God,

Az angyalok pedig mindnyájan a királyi szék, a vének és a négy élőlény körül álltak és a királyi szék előtt leborultak és imádták Istent,

12 saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and strength, to our God, to the ages of ages. Amen. (aiōn g165)

ezt mondva: „Ámen. Áldás és dicsőség és hálaadás és tisztesség és hatalom és erő a mi Istenünknek örökkön örökké. Ámen“. (aiōn g165)

13 And one of the elders answered, saying to me, These who are clothed with white robes, who are they, and whence came they?

Ekkor megszólalt az egyik vén és ezt mondta nekem: „Kik ezek, akik fehér ruhában vannak öltözve, és honnét jöttek?“

14 And I said to him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Ezt mondtam neki: „Uram, te tudod“. És ezt mondta nekem: „Ezek azok, akik a nagy nyomorúságból jöttek és megmosták ruhájukat és megfehérítették a Bárány vérében.

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple, and he that sits upon the throne shall spread his tabernacle over them.

Ezért vannak Isten királyi széke előtt és szolgálnak neki éjjel és nappal az ő templomában, és aki a királyi széken ül, kiterjeszti sátrát felettük.

16 They shall not hunger any more, neither shall they thirst any more, nor shall the sun at all fall on them, nor any burning heat;

Nem éheznek többé, sem nem szomjúhoznak többé, a nap nem tűz rájuk, sem semmi hőség,

17 because the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall shepherd them, and shall lead them to fountains of waters of life, and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes.

mert a Bárány, aki a királyi szék közepén van, legelteti őket, és az élet vizének forrásához vezeti őket, és Isten letöröl szemükről minden könnyet.“
