Psalms 92
1 A Psalm, a Song, for the Sabbath day. It is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High;
Salmo e cântico para o dia do Sábado: Bom é louvar ao SENHOR, e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo;
2 To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights,
Para anunciar tua bondade pela manhã, e tua fidelidade durante as noites.
3 Upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp.
Com o instrumento de dez cordas, com a lira, e com música de harpa.
4 For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work; I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
Porque tu, SENHOR, tens me alegrado com teus feitos; cantarei de alegria pelas obras de tuas mãos.
5 Jehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep:
Ó SENHOR, como são grandes tuas obras! Muito profundos são teus pensamentos!
6 A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.
O homem bruto não os conhece, nem o tolo entende isto.
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever.
Quando os perversos crescem como a erva, e florescem todos os praticantes de maldade, [assim então] serão destruídos para sempre.
8 And thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore.
Mas tu és Altíssimo para sempre, SENHOR.
9 For lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Porque eis que teus inimigos, SENHOR, porque eis que teus inimigos pereceram; serão dispersos todos os praticantes de maldade.
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Porém tu exaltaste o meu poder, como que um chifre de touro selvagem; eu fui ungido com óleo fresco.
11 And mine eye shall see [its desire] on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear [it] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.
E meus olhos verão [o fim] dos meus inimigos; meus ouvidos ouvirão [o fim] dos malfeitores que se levantam contra mim.
12 The righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon.
O justo florescerá como a palma; crescerá como o cedro do Líbano.
13 Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God:
Os [justos] estão plantados na casa do SENHOR, crescerão nos pátios do nosso Deus.
14 They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green;
[Até] na velhice ainda darão fruto; serão fortes e verdes;
15 To shew that Jehovah is upright: [he is] my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
Para anunciarem que o SENHOR é correto; ele é minha rocha, e não há perversidade nele.
