Psalms 90
1 A Prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, thou hast been our dwelling-place in all generations.
Oh ʼAdonay, Tú fuiste nuestro Refugio en todas las generaciones.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, and thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from eternity to eternity thou art God.
Antes que nacieran las montañas, O formaras la tierra y el mundo, Desde la eternidad y hasta la eternidad, Tú eres ʼEL.
3 Thou makest [mortal] man to return to dust, and sayest, Return, children of men.
Devuelves el hombre al polvo, Y dices: Conviértanse, hijos de hombres.
4 For a thousand years, in thy sight, are as yesterday when it is past, and [as] a watch in the night.
Porque 1.000 años delante de tus ojos son como el día de ayer que pasó, O como una de las vigilias de la noche.
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are [as] a sleep: in the morning they are like grass [that] groweth up:
Los arrastras con torrentes de agua. Son como un sueño. Son como la hierba que crece en la mañana.
6 In the morning it flourisheth and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down and withereth.
En la mañana reverdece y florece, Hacia la llegada de la noche se marchita y se seca.
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy fury are we troubled.
Porque somos consumidos con tu ira, Y con tu furor somos turbados.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret [sins] in the light of thy countenance.
Colocaste nuestras iniquidades ante Ti, Nuestras cosas ocultas a la luz de tu rostro.
9 For all our days pass away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a [passing] thought.
Porque todos nuestros días declinan a causa de tu ira. Terminamos nuestros años como un suspiro.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if, by reason of strength, they be fourscore years, yet their pride is labour and vanity, for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
Los días de nuestra vida son 70 años, Y en los robustos, 80 años. Sin embargo, su fortaleza es molestia y trabajo, Porque pronto pasan y volamos.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? and thy wrath according to the fear of thee?
¿Quién entiende el poder de tu ira Y tu indignación como debes ser temido?
12 So teach [us] to number our days, that we may acquire a wise heart.
Enséñanos a contar nuestros días De tal modo que traigamos al corazón sabiduría.
13 Return, Jehovah: how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
Vuélvete, oh Yavé. ¿Hasta cuándo? Ten compasión de tus esclavos.
14 Satisfy us early with thy loving-kindness; that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.
En la mañana sácianos de tu misericordia, Y cantaremos y nos alegraremos todos nuestros días.
15 Make us glad according to the days [wherein] thou hast afflicted us, according to the years [wherein] we have seen evil.
Alégranos según los días que nos afligiste, Y los años en los cuales vimos el mal.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy majesty unto their sons.
Que tu obra aparezca en tus esclavos, Y tu majestad en sus hijos.
17 And let the beauty of Jehovah our God be upon us; and establish thou the work of our hands upon us: yea, the work of our hands, establish thou it.
Sea la gracia de ʼAdonay nuestro ʼElohim sobre nosotros, Y nos confirme la obra de nuestras manos. ¡Sí, confirma la obra de nuestras manos!
