Psalms 89
1 An instruction. Of Ethan the Ezrahite. I will sing of the loving-kindness of Jehovah for ever; with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness from generation to generation.
Uma contemplação de Ethan, o Ezrahite. I vai cantar para sempre a bondade amorosa de Javé. Com minha boca, darei a conhecer sua fidelidade a todas as gerações.
2 For I said, Loving-kindness shall be built up for ever; in the very heavens wilt thou establish thy faithfulness.
Eu realmente declaro: “O amor permanece firme para sempre”. Vocês estabeleceram os céus. Sua fidelidade está neles”.
3 I have made a covenant with mine elect, I have sworn unto David my servant:
“Eu fiz um convênio com o escolhido, Eu jurei a David, meu servo,
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne from generation to generation. (Selah)
'Eu estabelecerei sua descendência para sempre, e construa seu trono para todas as gerações”. (Selah)
5 And the heavens shall celebrate thy wonders, O Jehovah, and thy faithfulness in the congregation of the saints.
Os céus louvarão suas maravilhas, Yahweh, sua fidelidade também na assembléia dos santos.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared to Jehovah? [who] among the sons of the mighty shall be likened to Jehovah?
Para quem nos céus pode ser comparado com Yahweh? Quem entre os filhos dos seres celestes é como Yahweh,
7 God is greatly to be feared in the council of the saints, and terrible for all that are round about him.
um Deus muito impressionante no conselho dos santos, a ser temido acima de todos aqueles que estão ao seu redor?
8 Jehovah, God of hosts, who is like unto thee, the strong Jah? And thy faithfulness is round about thee.
Yahweh, Deus dos Exércitos, que é um poderoso, como você? Sim, sua fidelidade está ao seu redor.
9 Thou rulest the pride of the sea: when its waves arise, thou stillest them.
Você governa o orgulho do mar. Quando suas ondas se levantam, você as acalma.
10 Thou hast crushed Rahab as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with the arm of thy strength.
Você quebrou Rahab em pedaços, como um dos mortos. Você espalhou seus inimigos com seu poderoso braço.
11 Thine are the heavens, the earth also is thine; the world and its fulness, thou hast founded them.
Os céus são seus. A terra também é sua, o mundo e sua plenitude. Você os fundou.
12 The north and the south, thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon triumph in thy name.
Você criou o norte e o sul. Tabor e Hermon regozijam-se em seu nome.
13 Thine is the arm of might: strong is thy hand, high is thy right hand.
Você tem um braço poderoso. Sua mão é forte, e sua mão direita é exaltada.
14 Righteousness and judgment are the foundation of thy throne; loving-kindness and truth go before thy face.
Righteousness e a justiça são o fundamento de seu trono. A bondade amorosa e a verdade estão diante de seu rosto.
15 Blessed is the people that know the shout of joy: they walk, O Jehovah, in the light of thy countenance.
Blessed são as pessoas que aprendem a aclamar você. Eles caminham à luz de sua presença, Yahweh.
16 In thy name are they joyful all the day, and in thy righteousness are they exalted.
Em seu nome, eles se alegram o dia inteiro. Em sua retidão, eles são exaltados.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength; and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
Pois você é a glória de sua força. Em seu favor, nossa buzina será exaltada.
18 For Jehovah is our shield, and the Holy One of Israel, our king.
Pois nosso escudo pertence a Yahweh, nosso rei para o Santo de Israel.
19 Then thou spakest in vision of thy Holy One, and saidst, I have laid help upon a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
Depois você falou em visão a seus santos, e disse: “Eu dei força ao guerreiro. Eu exaltei um jovem do povo.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
Encontrei David, meu criado. Eu o ungi com meu óleo sagrado,
21 With whom my hand shall be established; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
com quem minha mão deve ser estabelecida. Meu braço também o fortalecerá.
22 No enemy shall exact upon him, nor the son of wickedness afflict him;
Nenhum inimigo irá tributá-lo. Nenhum homem perverso o oprimirá.
23 But I will beat down his adversaries before his face, and will smite them that hate him.
Vou derrotar seus adversários antes dele, e atingir aqueles que o odeiam.
24 And my faithfulness and my loving-kindness shall be with him, and by my name shall his horn be exalted.
Mas minha fidelidade e minha bondade amorosa estarão com ele. Em meu nome, sua buzina será exaltada.
25 And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Eu colocarei sua mão também sobre o mar, e sua mão direita sobre os rios.
26 He shall call unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation;
Ele vai me chamar: 'Você é meu Pai', meu Deus, e a rocha da minha salvação”!
27 And as to me, I will make him firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.
Também vou nomeá-lo meu primogênito, o mais alto dos reis da terra.
28 My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;
Vou manter para sempre mais minha bondade amorosa por ele. Meu convênio permanecerá firme com ele.
29 And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
I também fará sua descendência durar para sempre, e seu trono como os dias do céu.
30 If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;
Se seus filhos abandonarem minha lei, e não entrem nas minhas portarias;
31 If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:
se eles violarem meus estatutos, e não guardem meus mandamentos;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
então punirei seu pecado com a vara, e sua iniqüidade com listras.
33 Nevertheless my loving-kindness will I not utterly take from him, nor belie my faithfulness;
But Não lhe tirarei completamente minha bondade amorosa, nem permitir que a minha fidelidade falhe.
34 My covenant will I not profane, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Eu não quebrarei meu pacto, nem alterar o que meus lábios pronunciaram.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness; I will not lie unto David:
Once Eu jurei por minha santidade, Eu não vou mentir para David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
Sua descendência perdurará para sempre, seu trono como o sol diante de mim.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and the witness in the sky is firm. (Selah)
Será estabelecido para sempre como a lua, a testemunha fiel no céu”. (Selah)
38 But thou hast rejected and cast off; thou hast been very wroth with thine anointed:
But você rejeitou e desdenhou. Você tem se zangado com seu ungido.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant; thou hast profaned his crown to the ground:
Você renunciou ao convênio de seu servo. Você sujou a coroa dele no pó.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strongholds to ruin.
Você quebrou todas as sebes dele. Você arruinou seus bastiões.
41 All that pass by the way plunder him; he is become a reproach to his neighbours.
Todos os que passam pelo caminho o roubam. Ele se tornou uma reprovação para seus vizinhos.
42 Thou hast exalted the right hand of his oppressors; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice:
Você exaltou a mão direita de seus adversários. Você fez todos os inimigos dele se regozijarem.
43 Yea, thou hast turned back the edge of his sword, and hast not made him stand in the battle.
Yes, você vira para trás o fio da espada dele, e não o apoiaram em batalha.
44 Thou hast made his brightness to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground;
Você terminou o seu esplendor, e atirou seu trono ao chão.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened; thou hast covered him with shame. (Selah)
Você encurtou os dias de sua juventude. Você o cobriu de vergonha. (Selah)
46 How long, Jehovah, wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy fury burn like fire?
How long, Yahweh? Você vai se esconder para sempre? Sua ira vai queimar como fogo?
47 Remember, as regards me, what life is. Wherefore hast thou created all the children of men to be vanity?
Remember como meu tempo é curto, para que vaidade você criou todos os filhos dos homens!
48 What man liveth, and shall not see death? Shall he deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
Que homem é aquele que deve viver e não ver a morte, quem libertará sua alma do poder do Sheol? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where, Lord, are thy former loving-kindnesses, [which] thou swarest unto David in thy faithfulness?
Lord, onde estão suas antigas e amorosas gentilezas, o que você jurou a David em sua fidelidade?
50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants — that I bear in my bosom [that of] all the mighty peoples —
Remember, Senhor, a reprovação de seus servos, como carrego no coração os escárnios de todos os povos poderosos,
51 Wherewith thine enemies, O Jehovah, have reproached, wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
com o qual seus inimigos têm zombado, Yahweh, com os quais eles zombaram dos passos de seu ungido.
52 Blessed be Jehovah for evermore! Amen, and Amen.
Blessed ser Yahweh para sempre mais. Amém, e Amém.
