Psalms 88
1 A Song, a Psalm for the sons of Korah. To the chief Musician. Upon Mahalath Leannoth. An instruction. Of Heman the Ezrahite. Jehovah, God of my salvation, I have cried by day [and] in the night before thee.
Pieśń a psalm synów Korego przedniejszemu śpiewakowi na Machalat ku śpiewaniu, nauczający, (złożony)od Hemana Ezrahytczyka. Panie, Boże zbawienia mego! we dnie i w nocy wołam do ciebie.
2 Let my prayer come before thee; incline thine ear unto my cry.
Niech przyjdzie przed oblicze twoje modlitwa moja; nakłoń ucha twego do wołania mego.
Bo nasycona jest utrapieniem dusza moja, a żywot mój przybliżył się aż do grobu. (Sheol h7585)
4 I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no strength:
Poczytano mię między tych, którzy zstępują do dołu; byłem jako człowiek bez wszelakiej mocy.
5 Prostrate among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave; whom thou rememberest no more, and who are cut off from thy hand.
Policzony jestem między umarłymi; jestem jako pobici, leżący w grobie, na których więcej nie pamiętasz, którzy są od ręki twojej wytraceni.
6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.
Spuściłeś mię w dół najgłębszy, do najciemniejszego i najgłębszego miejsca.
7 Thy fury lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. (Selah)
Doległa mię zapalczywość twoja, a wszystkiemi nawałnościami twemi przytłoczyłeś mię. (Sela)
8 Thou hast put my familiar friends far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
Dalekoś oddalił znajomych moich odemnie, którymeś mię bardzo obrzydził, a takiem zawarty, że mi nie lza wynijść.
9 Mine eye consumeth by reason of affliction. Upon thee, Jehovah, have I called every day; I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
Oko moje zemdlało od utrapienia mego; wzywam cię, Panie! na każdy dzień, wyciągając do ciebie ręce moje.
10 Wilt thou do wonders to the dead? shall the shades arise and praise thee? (Selah)
Izali przed umarłymi cuda czynić będziesz? izali umarli powstaną, aby cię wysławiali? (Sela)
11 Shall thy loving-kindness be declared in the grave? thy faithfulness in Destruction?
Izali opowiadane będzie w grobie miłosierdzie twoje? a prawda twoja w zginieniu?
12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
Izali poznają w ciemnościach cuda twoje? a sprawiedliwość twoję w ziemi zapamiętania?
13 But as for me, Jehovah, I cry unto thee, and in the morning my prayer cometh before thee.
Lecz ja, Panie! do ciebie wołam, a z poranku uprzedza cię modlitwa moja.
14 Why, O Jehovah, castest thou off my soul? [why] hidest thou thy face from me?
Przeczże, o Panie! odrzucasz duszę moję, a zakrywasz oblicze twoje przedemną?
15 I am afflicted and expiring from my youth up; I suffer thy terrors, [and] I am distracted.
Jamci utrapiony, i prawie już umierający od gwałtu; ponoszę strachy twoje, i trwożę sobą.
16 Thy fierce anger hath gone over me; thy terrors have brought me to nought:
Powstał przeciwko mnie srogi gniew twój, a strachy twoje wytraciły mię.
17 They have surrounded me all the day like water; they have compassed me about together.
Ogarniają mię jako woda przez cały dzień; otaczają mię gromadno.
18 Lover and associate hast thou put far from me: my familiar friends are darkness.
Oddaliłeś odemnie przyjaciela i towarzysza, a znajomym moim jestem jako w ciemności.
