Psalms 88
1 A Song, a Psalm for the sons of Korah. To the chief Musician. Upon Mahalath Leannoth. An instruction. Of Heman the Ezrahite. Jehovah, God of my salvation, I have cried by day [and] in the night before thee.
૧કોરાના દીકરાઓનું ગાયન; ગીત. મુખ્ય ગવૈયાને માટે; રાગ માહલાથ-લાનોથ. હેમાન એઝ્રાહીનું માસ્કીલ. હે યહોવાહ, મારો ઉદ્ધારકરનાર ઈશ્વર, મેં રાતદિવસ તમારી આગળ વિનંતી કરી છે.
2 Let my prayer come before thee; incline thine ear unto my cry.
૨મારી પ્રાર્થના સાંભળો; મારા પોકાર પર ધ્યાન આપો.
૩કારણ કે મારો જીવ ઘણો દુઃખી છે અને મારો પ્રાણ શેઓલ તરફ ખેંચાઈ જાય છે. (Sheol h7585)
4 I am reckoned with them that go down into the pit; I am as a man that hath no strength:
૪કબરમાં ઊતરનાર ભેગો હું ગણાયેલો છું; હું નિરાધાર માણસના જેવો છું.
5 Prostrate among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave; whom thou rememberest no more, and who are cut off from thy hand.
૫મને તજીને મૃત્યુ પામેલાઓની સાથે ગણી લીધો છે; મારી નંખાયેલા, કબરમાં સૂતેલા કે, જેઓનું તમે સ્મરણ કરતા નથી, જેઓ તમારા હાથથી દૂર થયેલા છે, તેમના જેવો હું છું.
6 Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in dark places, in the deeps.
૬તમે મને છેક નીચલા ખાડામાં ધકેલી દીધો છે, તે સ્થળો અંધકારથી ભરેલાં અને ઊંડાં છે.
7 Thy fury lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted [me] with all thy waves. (Selah)
૭મારા પર તમારો કોપ અતિ ભારે છે અને તમારાં સર્વ મોજાં મારા પર ફરી વળ્યાં છે.
8 Thou hast put my familiar friends far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
૮કેમ કે તમે મારા ઓળખીતાઓને મારી પાસેથી દૂર કર્યા છે. તેઓ મારાથી આંચકો પામે એવો તમે મને કર્યો છે. હું ફાંદામાં ફસાઈ ગયો છું અને તેમાંથી બહાર નીકળી શકતો નથી.
9 Mine eye consumeth by reason of affliction. Upon thee, Jehovah, have I called every day; I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
૯દુ: ખને લીધે મારી આંખો ક્ષીણ થાય છે; હે યહોવાહ, મેં દરરોજ તમને અરજ કરી છે; તમારી સંમુખ મેં મારા હાથ જોડ્યા છે.
10 Wilt thou do wonders to the dead? shall the shades arise and praise thee? (Selah)
૧૦શું તમે મરણ પામેલાઓને ચમત્કાર બતાવશો? શું મરણ પામેલા ઊઠીને તમારી આભારસ્તુતિ કરશે? (સેલાહ)
11 Shall thy loving-kindness be declared in the grave? thy faithfulness in Destruction?
૧૧શું કબરમાં તમારી કૃપા કે, વિનાશમાં તમારું વિશ્વાસપણું જાહેર કરવામાં આવશે?
12 Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
૧૨શું અંધકારમાં તમારાં આશ્ચર્યકારક કૃત્યો અને વિસ્મરણના દેશમાં તમારા ન્યાયીપણાનાં કૃત્યો વિષે જણાવવામાં આવશે?
13 But as for me, Jehovah, I cry unto thee, and in the morning my prayer cometh before thee.
૧૩પણ, હે યહોવાહ, હું પોકાર કરીશ; સવારે મારી પ્રાર્થના તમારી સમક્ષ આવશે.
14 Why, O Jehovah, castest thou off my soul? [why] hidest thou thy face from me?
૧૪હે યહોવાહ, તમે મને કેમ તજી દીધો છે? શા માટે તમે તમારું મુખ મારાથી ફેરવો છો?
15 I am afflicted and expiring from my youth up; I suffer thy terrors, [and] I am distracted.
૧૫મારી યુવાવસ્થાથી મારા પર દુ: ખ આવી પડ્યાં છે અને હું મરણતોલ થઈ ગયો છું. તમારો ત્રાસ વેઠતાં હું ગભરાઈ ગયો, હું કંઈ કરી શકતો નથી.
16 Thy fierce anger hath gone over me; thy terrors have brought me to nought:
૧૬તમારો ઉગ્ર કોપ મારા પર આવી પડ્યો છે અને તમારા ત્રાસે મારો નાશ કર્યો છે.
17 They have surrounded me all the day like water; they have compassed me about together.
૧૭તેઓએ પાણીની જેમ દરરોજ મને ઘેર્યો છે; તેઓ ભેગા થઈને મારી આસપાસ ફરી વળ્યા છે.
18 Lover and associate hast thou put far from me: my familiar friends are darkness.
૧૮તમે મારા મિત્રોને અને સંબંધીઓને મારાથી દૂર કર્યા છે. મારા સંબંધીઓમાં હવે તો અંધકાર જ રહ્યો છે.
