Psalms 85

1 To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:

௧கோராகின் குடும்பம் இராகத் தலைவனுக்கு அளித்த துதிப் பாடல். யெகோவாவே, உமது தேசத்தின்மேல் பிரியம் வைத்து, யாக்கோபின் சிறையிருப்பைத் திருப்பினீர்.

2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. (Selah)

௨உமது மக்களின் அக்கிரமத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்கள் பாவத்தையெல்லாம் மூடினீர். (சேலா)

3 Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.

௩உமது உக்கிரத்தையெல்லாம் அடக்கிக்கொண்டு, உமது கோபத்தின் எரிச்சலைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினீர்.

4 Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.

௪எங்கள் இரட்சிப்பின் தேவனே, நீர் எங்களைத் திருப்பிக் கொண்டுவாரும், எங்கள்மேலுள்ள உமது கோபத்தை ஆறச்செய்யும்.

5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?

௫என்றைக்கும் எங்கள்மேல் கோபமாக இருப்பீரோ? தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக உமது கோபத்தை நீடித்திருக்கச்செய்வீரோ?

6 Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

௬உமது மக்கள் உம்மில் மகிழ்ந்திருக்கும்படி நீர் எங்களைத் திரும்ப உயிர்ப்பிக்கமாட்டீரோ?

7 Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.

௭யெகோவாவே, உமது கிருபையை எங்களுக்குக் காண்பித்து, உமது இரட்சிப்பை எங்களுக்கு அருளிச்செய்யும்.

8 I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.

௮கர்த்தராகிய தேவன் சொல்வதைக் கேட்பேன்; அவர் தம்முடைய மக்களுக்கும் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கும் சமாதானம் கூறுவார்; அவர்களோ மதிகேட்டுக்குத் திரும்பாமலிருப்பார்களாக.

9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.

௯நம்முடைய தேசத்தில் மகிமை தங்கியிருக்கும்படி, அவருடைய இரட்சிப்பு அவருக்குப் பயந்தவர்களுக்குச் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறது.

10 Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:

௧0கிருபையும், சத்தியமும் ஒன்றையொன்று சந்திக்கும், நீதியும் சமாதானமும் ஒன்றையொன்று முத்தஞ்செய்யும்.

11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.

௧௧சத்தியம் பூமியிலிருந்து முளைக்கும், நீதி வானத்திலிருந்து கீழே பார்க்கும்.

12 Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.

௧௨யெகோவா நன்மையானதைத் தருவார்; நம்முடைய தேசமும் தன்னுடைய பலனைக் கொடுக்கும்.

13 Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.

௧௩நீதி அவருக்கு முன்னாகச் சென்று, அவருடைய அடிச்சுவடுகளின் வழியிலே நம்மை நிறுத்தும்.
