Psalms 85
1 To the chief Musician. Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. Thou hast been favourable, Jehovah, unto thy land; thou hast turned the captivity of Jacob:
Señor, fuiste bueno con tu tierra: cambiando el destino de Jacob.
2 Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people; thou hast covered all their sin. (Selah)
La maldad de tu pueblo tuvo perdón; todos sus pecados cubriste. (Selah)
3 Thou hast withdrawn all thy wrath; thou hast turned from the fierceness of thine anger.
Ya no estabas enojado: fuiste apartado del ardor de tu ira.
4 Bring us back, O God of our salvation, and cause thine indignation toward us to cease.
Regresa a nosotros, oh Dios de nuestra salvación, y no te enojes más con nosotros.
5 Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger from generation to generation?
¿Seguirás enojado con nosotros para siempre? ¿guardarás tu ira contra nosotros a lo largo de todas las generaciones?
6 Wilt thou not revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
¿No nos darás la vida otra vez, para que tu pueblo se alegre en ti?
7 Shew us thy loving-kindness, O Jehovah, and grant us thy salvation.
Veamos tu misericordia, Señor, y danos tu salvación.
8 I will hear what God, Jehovah, will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his godly ones: but let them not turn again to folly.
Oiré la voz del Señor; porque él dirá palabras de paz a su pueblo y a sus santos; pero que no vuelvan a sus maneras necias.
9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
Verdaderamente, su salvación está cerca de sus adoradores; para que la gloria esté en nuestra tierra.
10 Loving-kindness and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other:
La misericordia y la fe se han unido; la justicia y la paz se han dado un beso.
11 Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from the heavens.
La fe sube de la tierra como una planta; la justicia está mirando hacia abajo desde el cielo.
12 Jehovah also will give what is good, and our land shall yield its increase.
El Señor dará lo que es bueno; y nuestra tierra dará su fruto.
13 Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set his footsteps on the way.
La justicia irá delante de él, haciendo un camino para sus pasos.
