< Psalms 83 >
1 A Song; a Psalm of Asaph. O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God:
Ko e Hiva pe ko e Saame ʻa ʻAsafi. ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoua naʻa ke fakalongo pē: ʻE ʻOtua, ʻoua naʻa ke taʻeʻafioʻi, pea ʻoua naʻa ke nofo pē.
2 For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.
Vakai, ʻoku fakatupu maveuveu ʻe ho ngaahi fili: pea ko kinautolu ʻoku fehiʻa kiate koe kuo nau hiki hake honau ʻulu.
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:
Naʻa nau alea fakalilolilo ki hoʻo kakai, pea nau fakakaukau fakataha ki he kakai ʻoku ke maluʻi.
4 They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.
5 For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
He kuo nau fakakaukau ʻi he loto taha: ʻoku nau fuakava ʻo angatuʻu kiate koe:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;
Ko e ngaahi fale fehikitaki ʻo ʻItomi, mo e kau ʻIsimeʻeli; ʻa Moape, mo e hako ʻo Hekaʻā;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
ʻA Kepale, mo ʻAmoni, mo ʻAmaleki, ko e kau Filisitia mo e kakai ʻo Taia;
8 Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
ʻOku fakataha mo kinautolu foki ʻa ʻAsilia: kuo nau tokoni ki he fānau ʻa Lote. (Sila)
9 Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:
Fai kiate kinautolu ʻo hangē ko hoʻo fai ki he kau Mitiani; ʻo hangē ko Sisela, mo Sapini, ʻi he vaitafe ʻo Kisoni:
10 Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.
ʻAia naʻe ʻauha ʻi Enitoa: naʻa nau hoko ʻo hangē ko e kinohaʻa ki he kelekele.
11 Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.
Ngaohi honau ngaahi ʻeiki ke hangē ko Olipi, pea tatau mo Siipi: ʻio, ʻa ʻenau houʻeiki kotoa pē ʻo hangē ko Sipaa, mo Salimuna.
12 For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.
ʻAia naʻa nau pehē, “Ketau maʻu ʻae ngaahi fale ʻoe ʻOtua moʻotautolu.”
13 O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.
ʻE hoku ʻOtua, ke ke ngaohi ʻakinautolu ke hangē ko e teka; ke hangē ko e veve ʻoku vilingia ʻi he matangi.
14 As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
ʻO hangē ko e vela ʻoe vao ʻakau ʻi he afi, pea hangē kuo tutu ʻae ngaahi moʻunga ʻe he ulo afi.
15 So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
Ke fakatanga pehē ʻakinautolu ʻaki hoʻo fuʻu taufa, pea fakamanavahēʻi ʻakinautolu ʻaki hoʻo afā.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
ʻE Sihova, fakafonu honau mata ʻi he mā; koeʻuhi kenau kumi ki ho huafa.
17 Let them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:
Tuku kenau puputuʻu mo mamahi ʻo taʻengata; ʻio, tuku ke mā mo ʻauha ʻakinautolu.
18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.
Koeʻuhi ke ʻilo ʻe he kakai ko koe, ko ho huafa ʻoʻou ko Sihova, ko e Fungani Māʻolunga ʻi māmani kotoa pē.
