< Psalms 83 >

1 A Song; a Psalm of Asaph. O God, keep not silence; hold not thy peace, and be not still, O God:
Oluyimba. Zabbuli ya Asafu. Ayi Katonda, tosirika busirisi n’etebaayo kanyego. Tosirika, Ayi Katonda, n’otobaako ky’okola.
2 For behold, thine enemies make a tumult; and they that hate thee lift up the head.
Wuliriza oluyoogaano oluva mu balabe bo; abo abaagala okukulwanyisa bali mu keetalo.
3 They take crafty counsel against thy people, and consult against thy hidden ones:
Bateesa n’obujagujagu okulumba abantu bo; basalira enkwe abo b’oyagala ennyo.
4 They say, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, and let the name of Israel be mentioned no more.
Bagamba nti, “Mujje eggwanga lyabwe tulizikirize, n’erinnya lya Isirayiri lireme okujjukirwanga emirembe gyonna!”
5 For they have consulted together with one heart: they have made an alliance together against thee.
Basala olukwe n’omwoyo gumu; beegasse wamu bakulwanyise.
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagarites;
Abantu b’omu weema za Edomu, n’ez’Abayisimayiri, n’eza Mowaabu, n’Abakagale;
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia, with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Gebali ne Amoni, ne Amaleki, n’Abafirisuuti n’abantu b’omu Ttuulo.
8 Asshur also is joined with them: they are an arm to the sons of Lot. (Selah)
Era ne Asiriya yeegasse nabo, okuyamba bazzukulu ba Lutti.
9 Do unto them as to Midian; as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the torrent of Kishon:
Bakoleko nga bwe wakola Midiyaani, era nga bwe wakola Sisera ne Yabini ku mugga Kisoni,
10 Who were destroyed at Endor; they became as dung for the ground.
abaazikiririra mu Endoli ne bafuuka ng’obusa ku ttaka.
11 Make their nobles as Oreb and as Zeeb; and all their chiefs as Zebah and as Zalmunna.
Abakungu baabwe bafuule nga Olebu ne Zeebu, n’abalangira baabwe bonna bafuuke nga Zeba ne Zalumunna,
12 For they have said, Let us take to ourselves God's dwelling-places in possession.
abaagamba nti, “Ka tutwale amalundiro ga Katonda, tugeefunire.”
13 O my God, make them like a whirling thing, like stubble before the wind.
Ayi Katonda wange, bafuumuule ng’enfuufu, obasaasaanye ng’ebisusunku mu mbuyaga.
14 As fire burneth a forest, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire,
Ng’omuliro bwe gwokya ekibira; n’ennimi z’omuliro ne zikoleeza ensozi,
15 So pursue them with thy tempest, and terrify them with thy whirlwind.
naawe bw’otyo bw’oba obawondera n’omuyaga gwo, obatiise ne kibuyaga wo ow’amaanyi.
16 Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek thy name, O Jehovah.
Baswaze nnyo, balyoke banoonyenga erinnya lyo, Ayi Mukama.
17 Let them be put to shame and be dismayed for ever, and let them be confounded and perish:
Bajjule ensonyi n’okutya, bazikirire nga baswadde nnyo.
18 That they may know that thou alone, whose name is Jehovah, art the Most High over all the earth.
Balyoke bategeere nti, Ggwe wekka, Ayi Mukama, ggw’oyitibwa Yakuwa, gw’obeera waggulu ennyo ng’ofuga ensi yonna.
