Psalms 80
1 To the chief Musician. On Shoshannim-Eduth. Of Asaph. A Psalm. Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that sittest [between] the cherubim, shine forth.
Para el maestro de coro. Por el tono de (como) azucenas (las palabras) de la Ley, Salmo de Asaf. Pastor de Israel, escucha: Tú, que como un rebaño guías a José; Tú, que te sientas sobre querubines,
2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, stir up thy strength, and come to our deliverance.
muéstrate a los ojos de Efraím, de Benjamín y de Manasés. Despierta tu potencia, y ven a salvarnos.
3 O God, restore us; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
¡Oh Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos! Haz resplandecer tu Rostro, y seremos salvos.
4 Jehovah, God of hosts, how long will thine anger smoke against the prayer of thy people?
¡Oh Yahvé, Dios de los ejércitos!, ¿hasta cuándo seguirás airado contra la oración de tu pueblo?
5 Thou hast fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure:
Lo has alimentado con pan de llanto; le has dado a beber lágrimas en abundancia.
6 Thou hast made us a strife unto our neighbours, and our enemies mock among themselves.
Nos has hecho objeto de contienda entre nuestros vecinos; y nuestros enemigos se burlan de nosotros.
7 Restore us, O God of hosts; and cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
¡Oh Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos! Haz resplandecer tu Rostro, y seremos salvos.
8 Thou broughtest a vine out of Egypt; thou didst cast out the nations, and plant it:
De Egipto trasladaste tu viña, arrojaste a los gentiles, y la plantaste;
9 Thou preparedst space before it, and it took deep root, and filled the land;
preparaste el suelo para ella, y echó raíces y llenó la tierra.
10 The mountains were covered with its shadow, and the branches thereof were [like] cedars of God;
Los montes se cubrieron con su sombra, y con sus ramas los cedros altísimos.
11 It sent out its boughs unto the sea, and its shoots unto the river.
Hasta el mar extendió sus sarmientos y hasta el gran río sus vástagos.
12 Why hast thou broken down its fences, so that all who pass by the way do pluck it?
¿Cómo es que derribaste sus vallados para que la vendimien cuantos pasan por el camino;
13 The boar out of the forest doth waste it, and the beast of the field doth feed off it.
la devaste el jabalí salvaje y las bestias del campo la devoren?
14 O God of hosts, return, we beseech thee; look down from the heavens, and behold, and visit this vine;
Retorna, oh Dios de los ejércitos, inclínate desde el cielo, y mira, y visita esta viña,
15 Even the stock which thy right hand hath planted, and the young plant thou madest strong for thyself.
la cepa que tu diestra plantó, y el retoño que para ti conformaste.
16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down; they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
Perezcan ante la amenaza de tu Rostro quienes la quemaron y la cortaron.
17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou hast made strong for thyself.
Pósese tu mano sobre el Varón que está a tu diestra; sobre el Hijo del hombre que para Ti fortaleciste.
18 So will we not go back from thee. Revive us, and we will call upon thy name.
Entonces no volveremos a apartarnos de Ti; Tú nos vivificarás, y nosotros proclamaremos tu Nombre.
19 Restore us, O Jehovah, God of hosts; cause thy face to shine, and we shall be saved.
¡Oh Dios de los ejércitos, restáuranos! Haz resplandecer tu Rostro, y seremos salvos.
