< Psalms 74 >
1 An instruction: of Asaph. Why, O God, hast thou cast off for ever? [why] doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
Asaph ih maskil. Aw Sithaw, tipongah dungzan khoek to nang pahnawt loe? Tipongah nangmah ih caphoih ahmuen ah kapra tuunawk nuiah palung na phui loe?
2 Remember thine assembly, which thou hast purchased of old, which thou hast redeemed [to be] the portion of thine inheritance, this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
Canghnii hoiah na qan ih kaminawk, na qawktoep acaengnawk hoi na ohhaih Zion mae to poek ah.
3 Lift up thy steps unto the perpetual desolations: everything in the sanctuary hath the enemy destroyed.
Kaciim ahmuen to misanawk mah paro o boih boeh pongah, dungzan ah kamro ahmuen ah na khok to paqoi lai ah.
4 Thine adversaries roar in the midst of thy place of assembly; they set up their signs [for] signs.
Na misanawk loe nangmah ih kaminawk salakah hang o; nihcae loe angmacae angmathaih kahni to payang o.
5 [A man] was known as he could lift up axes in the thicket of trees;
Nihcae loe caka hoi tu thung ih thing pakhruh kaminawk baktiah oh o.
6 And now they break down its carved work altogether, with hatchets and hammers.
Toe vaihi loe sak ih hmuennawk to caki hoi cakanawk hoiah a saek o boih boeh.
7 They have set on fire thy sanctuary, they have profaned the habitation of thy name to the ground.
Na hmuenciim to hmai hoiah a thlaek o boeh; na hmin ohhaih ahmuen doeh long ah vah o moe, panuet thok ah a sak o boeh.
8 They said in their heart, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all God's places of assembly in the land.
Nihcae mah, Hae kaminawk hae paduek boih si, tiah thuih o moe, prae thung ih Sithaw bokhaih ahmuennawk to hmai hoiah thlaek o boih boeh.
9 We see not our signs; there is no more any prophet, neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
Kaicae loe kaimacae angmathaih tidoeh ka hnu o ai; tahmaanawk doeh om o ai boeh; nasetto maw hae tiah om vop tih, tiah panoek kami kaicae thungah mi doeh om ai.
10 How long, O God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy contemn thy name for ever?
Aw Sithaw, nasetto maw misa mah kasaethui vop tih? Misa mah na hmin kasae thui poe tih maw?
11 Why withdrawest thou thy hand, and thy right hand? [pluck it] out of thy bosom: consume [them].
Tipongah na ban, na bantang ban to na zuh let loe? Na saoek thung hoiah pathok ah.
12 But God is my king of old, accomplishing deliverances in the midst of the earth.
Sithaw loe canghnii hoiah ni kai ih siangpahrang ah oh boeh; anih mah ni long nuiah pahlonghaih to sak.
13 Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength; thou didst break the heads of the monsters on the waters:
Na thacakhaih hoiah tuipui to na pakhoih; tuipuinawk thung ih pahui puinawk ih lu to na khaeh.
14 Thou didst break in pieces the heads of leviathan, thou gavest him to be meat to those that people the desert.
Leviathan ih lunawk to na koihsak phaeng moe, praezaek ah kaom kaminawk hanah buh ah na paek.
15 Thou didst cleave fountain and torrent, thou driedst up ever-flowing rivers.
Nangmah ni tuibap tui hoi vacong tuinawk to na longsak; vapui tuinawk doeh na kaangsak.
16 The day is thine, the night also is thine; thou hast prepared the moon and the sun:
Khodai loe nang ih ni, khoving doeh nang ih ni; nangmah ni ni hoi aanghaih to na sak.
17 Thou hast set all the borders of the earth; summer and winter — thou didst form them.
Nangmah ni long angzithaih ramrinawk to na sak moe, nipui hoi siktue doeh na sak.
18 Remember this, that an enemy hath reproached Jehovah, and a foolish people have contemned thy name.
Aw Angraeng, misa mah kasaethuihaih to poek ah; kamthunawk mah loe na hmin to patoek o.
19 Give not up the soul of thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast; forget not the troop of thine afflicted for ever.
Nangmah ih pahuu tuinom hinghaih to kasae kaminawk khaeah paek hmah; nangmah ih amtang kaminawk to dungzan khoek to pahnet hmah.
20 Have respect unto the covenant; for the dark places of the earth are full of the dwellings of violence.
Lokkamhaih to poek ah; long khoving ahmuennawk loe pacaekthlaekhaih hoiah koi.
21 Oh let not the oppressed one return ashamed; let the afflicted and needy praise thy name.
Patangkhang kaminawk to palung boengsak hmah; kamtang hoi kavawt kaminawk mah na hmin to saphaw o nasoe.
22 Rise up, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee all the day;
Aw Sithaw, angthawk tahang ah loe, na sak ih hmuen to pakaa ah; kawbangmaw kamthunawk mah nang sethaih kawng ni thokkruek thuih o, tito panoek ah.
23 Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: the tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.
Na misanawk ih lok to pahnet hmah; na misanawk hanghaih lok loe pop aep aep boeh.
