Psalms 69
1 To the chief Musician. Upon Shoshannim. [A Psalm] of David. Save me, O God; for the waters are come in unto [my] soul.
[Dem Vorsänger, nach Schoschannim. [O. nach: Lilien] Von David.] Rette mich, o Gott! denn die Wasser sind bis an die Seele gekommen.
2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing; I am come into the depths of waters, and the flood overfloweth me.
Ich bin versunken in tiefen Schlamm, und kein Grund ist da; in Wassertiefen bin ich gekommen, und die Flut überströmt mich.
3 I am weary with my crying, my throat is parched; mine eyes fail while I wait for my God.
Ich bin müde vom [Eig. durch mein] Rufen, entzündet ist meine Kehle; meine Augen schwinden hin, harrend auf meinen Gott.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
Mehr als die Haare meines Hauptes sind derer, die ohne Ursache mich hassen; mächtig [O. zahlreich] sind meine Vertilger, die ohne Grund mir feind sind; was ich nicht geraubt habe, muß ich alsdann erstatten.
5 Thou, O God, knowest my foolishness, and my trespasses are not hidden from thee.
Du, o Gott, weißt um meine Torheit, und meine Vergehungen sind dir nicht verborgen.
6 Let not them that wait on thee, Lord, Jehovah of hosts, be ashamed through me; let not those that seek thee be confounded through me, O God of Israel.
Laß nicht durch mich beschämt werden, die auf dich harren, [O. hoffen] Herr, Jehova der Heerscharen! Laß nicht durch mich zu Schanden werden, die dich suchen, Gott Israels!
7 Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; confusion hath covered my face.
Denn deinetwegen trage ich Hohn, hat Schande bedeckt mein Antlitz.
8 I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's sons;
Entfremdet bin ich meinen Brüdern, und ein Fremdling geworden den Söhnen meiner Mutter.
9 For the zeal of thy house hath devoured me, and the reproaches of them that reproach thee have fallen upon me.
Denn der Eifer um dein Haus hat mich verzehrt, und die Schmähungen derer, die dich schmähen, sind auf mich gefallen.
10 And I wept, my soul was fasting: that also was to my reproach; —
Als ich weinte, und meine Seele im Fasten war, da wurde es mir zu Schmähungen;
11 And I made sackcloth my garment: then I became a proverb to them.
Als ich mich in Sacktuch kleidete, da ward ich ihnen zum Sprichwort.
12 They that sit in the gate talk of me, and [I am] the song of the drunkards.
Die im Tore sitzen, reden über mich, und ich bin das Saitenspiel der Zecher. [W. der Trinker starken Getränks]
13 But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, Jehovah, in an acceptable time: O God, in the abundance of thy loving-kindness answer me, according to the truth of thy salvation:
Ich aber, mein Gebet ist zu dir, Jehova, zur Zeit der Annehmung. [O. des Wohlgefallens] O Gott, nach der Größe deiner Güte, erhöre mich nach der Wahrheit deines Heils!
14 Deliver me out of the mire, let me not sink; let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the depths of waters.
Ziehe mich heraus aus dem Schlamm, daß ich nicht versinke! laß mich errettet werden von meinen Hassern und aus den Wassertiefen!
15 Let not the flood of waters overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up; and let not the pit shut its mouth upon me.
Laß die Flut der Wasser mich nicht überströmen, und die Tiefe mich nicht verschlingen; und laß die Grube ihren Mund nicht über mir verschließen!
16 Answer me, O Jehovah; for thy loving-kindness is good: according to the abundance of thy tender mercies, turn toward me;
Erhöre mich, Jehova! denn gut ist deine Güte; wende dich zu mir nach der Größe deiner Erbarmungen!
17 And hide not thy face from thy servant, for I am in trouble: answer me speedily.
Und verbirg dein Angesicht nicht vor deinem Knechte! denn ich bin bedrängt; eilends erhöre mich!
18 Draw nigh unto my soul, be its redeemer; ransom me because of mine enemies.
Nahe meiner Seele, erlöse sie; erlöse [Eig. kaufe mich los] mich um meiner Feinde willen!
19 Thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.
Du, du kennst meinen Hohn und meine Schmach und meine Schande; vor dir sind alle meine Bedränger.
20 Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none.
Der Hohn hat mein Herz gebrochen, und ich bin ganz elend; und ich habe auf Mitleiden gewartet, und da war keines, und auf Tröster, und ich habe keine gefunden.
21 Yea, they gave me gall for my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
Und sie gaben in [O. als] meine Speise Galle, [O. Gift] und in meinem Durst tränkten sie mich mit Essig.
22 Let their table become a snare before them, and their very welfare a trap;
Es werde zur Schlinge vor ihnen ihr Tisch, und ihnen, den Sorglosen, zum Fallstrick!
23 Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not, and make their loins continually to shake.
Laß dunkel werden ihre Augen, daß sie nicht sehen; und laß beständig wanken ihre Lenden!
24 Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let the fierceness of thine anger take hold of them.
Schütte über sie aus deinen Grimm, und deines Zornes Glut erreiche sie!
25 Let their habitation be desolate; let there be no dweller in their tents.
Verwüstet sei ihre Wohnung, [Eig. ihr Gehöft, Zeltlager] in ihren Zelten sei kein Bewohner!
26 For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten, and they talk for the sorrow of those whom thou hast wounded.
Denn den du geschlagen hast, haben sie verfolgt, und von dem Schmerze deiner Verwundeten erzählen sie.
27 Add iniquity unto their iniquity, and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Füge Ungerechtigkeit zu ihrer Ungerechtigkeit, und laß sie nicht kommen zu [Eig. eingehen in] deiner Gerechtigkeit!
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.
Laß sie ausgelöscht werden aus dem Buche des Lebens, und nicht eingeschrieben mit den Gerechten!
29 But I am afflicted and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me secure on high.
Ich aber bin elend, und mir ist wehe; deine Rettung, o Gott, setze mich in Sicherheit!
30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving;
Rühmen will ich den Namen Gottes im Liede, und ihn erheben mit Lob. [O. Dank]
31 And it shall please Jehovah more than an ox, — a bullock with horns and cloven hoofs.
Und es wird Jehova wohlgefälliger sein als ein Stier, ein Farre mit Hörnern und gespaltenen Hufen.
32 The meek shall see it, they shall be glad; ye that seek God, your heart shall live.
Die Sanftmütigen werden es sehen, sie werden [O. Wenn die Sanftmütigen es sehen, so werden sie usw.] sich freuen; ihr, die ihr Gott suchet, es lebe euer Herz! [O. euer Herz wird leben]
33 For Jehovah heareth the needy, and despiseth not his prisoners.
Denn Jehova hört auf die Armen, und seine Gefangenen verachtet er nicht.
34 Let heavens and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moveth therein.
Ihn sollen loben Himmel und Erde, die Meere, und alles, was in ihnen wimmelt!
35 For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah; and they shall dwell there, and possess it:
Denn Gott wird Zion retten und die Städte Judas bauen; und sie werden daselbst wohnen und es besitzen.
36 And the seed of his servants shall inherit it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
Und der Same seiner Knechte wird es erben; und die seinen Namen lieben, werden darin wohnen.
