Psalms 68
1 To the chief Musician. Of David. A Psalm: a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, and let them that hate him flee before him.
Sea visto Dios, y que sus enemigos se echen a volar; que los que están contra él retrocedan ante él.
2 As smoke is driven, thou wilt drive them away; as wax melteth before the fire, the wicked shall perish at the presence of God.
Sean como el humo delante del viento impetuoso; como la cera que se vuelve suave ante el fuego, dejen que lleguen a su fin antes del poder de Dios.
3 But the righteous shall rejoice: they shall exult before God and be glad with joy.
Pero los justos estén contentos; déjalos deleitarse delante de Dios; déjalos estar llenos de alegría.
4 Sing unto God, sing forth his name; cast up a way for him that rideth in the deserts: his name is Jah; and rejoice before him.
Haz canciones a Dios, haz canciones de alabanza a su nombre; hacer un camino para el que viene a través de las tierras baldías; su nombre es Jah; alégrate delante de él.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
Un padre para los que no tienen padre, un juez de las viudas, es Dios en su lugar santo.
6 God maketh the solitary into families; those that were bound he bringeth out into prosperity: but the rebellious dwell in a parched [land].
Los que no tienen amigos, Dios los pone en familias; él libera a los que están encadenados; pero a los que son rechazados se les da tierra seca.
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness (Selah)
Oh Dios, cuando saliste delante de tu pueblo, vagando por el desierto; (Selah)
8 The earth trembled, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God, yon Sinai, at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
La tierra temblaba y los cielos fluían, porque Dios estaba presente; incluso el mismo Sinaí fue movido ante Dios, el Dios de Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst pour a plentiful rain upon thine inheritance, and when it was weary thou strengthenedst it.
Tú, oh Dios, enviaste libremente la lluvia, dando fortaleza al cansancio de tu herencia.
10 Thy flock hath dwelt therein: thou hast prepared in thy goodness, for the afflicted, O God!
Aquellos cuyo lugar de descanso estaba allí, incluso los pobres, fueron consolados por tus bienes, oh Dios.
11 The Lord gives the word: great the host of the publishers.
El Señor da la palabra; grande es el número de mujeres que lo hacen público.
12 Kings of armies flee; they flee, and she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.
Reyes de ejércitos huyen rápidamente, y las mujeres de las casas hacen una división de sus bienes.
13 Though ye have lain among the sheepfolds, [ye shall be as] wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with green gold.
¿Tomarás tu descanso entre las multitudes? como las alas de una paloma cubierta de plata, y sus plumas de oro amarillo.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it became snow-white as Zalmon.
Cuando el Altísimo hizo volar a los reyes, estaba tan blanco como la nieve en Salmón.
15 [As] mount Bashan is the mount of God, a many-peaked mountain, [as] mount Bashan.
Una colina de Dios es la colina de Basán; una colina con altas cimas es la colina de Bashan.
16 Why do ye look with envy, ye many-peaked mountains, upon the mount that God hath desired for his abode? yea, Jehovah will dwell [there] for ever.
¿Por qué miras con envidia, oh alta montaña, en la colina deseada por Dios como su lugar de reposo? verdaderamente, Dios lo hará su casa para siempre.
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them: it is a Sinai in holiness.
El carro de guerra de Dios está entre los miles de Israel; el Señor ha venido del Sinaí al lugar santo.
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even [for] the rebellious, for the dwelling [there] of Jah Elohim.
Has subido a lo alto, llevándote a tus prisioneros; has tomado ofrendas de los hombres; el Señor Dios ha tomado su lugar en el asiento de su poder.
19 Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us [with good], the God who is our salvation. (Selah)
Alabado sea el Señor, que es nuestro apoyo día a día, incluso el Dios de nuestra salvación. (Selah)
20 Our God is the God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth [even] from death.
Nuestro Dios es para nosotros un Dios de salvación; Éstas son las salidas de la muerte.
21 Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.
Las cabezas de los aborrecedores de Dios serán aplastadas; incluso la cabeza de él que todavía sigue en su mal camino.
22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring [them] again from the depth of the sea;
Dijo el Señor: Los haré volver de Basán y de las profundidades del mar;
23 That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.
para que tu pie se ponga rojo de sangre, y la lengua de tus perros con lo mismo.
24 They have seen thy goings, O God, the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
Vemos tu marcha, oh Dios: hasta el ir de mi Dios, mi Rey, al lugar santo.
25 The singers went before, the players on stringed instruments after, in the midst of maidens playing on tabrets.
Los creadores de canciones van antes, los actores de la música vienen después, entre las chicas jóvenes que tocan instrumentos de metal.
26 In the congregations bless ye God, the Lord, — [ye] from the fountain of Israel.
Alaben a Dios en la gran reunión; incluso el Señor, tú que vienes de la fuente de Israel.
27 There is little Benjamin, their ruler; the princes of Judah, their company; the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.
Hay un pequeño Benjamín que los gobierna, los jefes de Judá y su ejército, los gobernantes de Zabulón y los gobernantes de Neftalí.
28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
Oh Dios, envía tu fuerza; la fuerza, oh Dios, con la que has hecho grandes cosas por nosotros,
29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
Fuera de tu templo en Jerusalén.
30 Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the assembly of the strong, with the calves of the peoples: [every one] submitteth himself with pieces of silver. Scatter the peoples that delight in war.
Reprende a Egipto, a la bestia de entre las plantas de agua, a esa manada de toros y becerros, con los señores de los pueblos, acaba con la gente cuyo deleite está en la guerra.
31 Great ones shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall quickly stretch out her hands unto God.
Reyes te darán ofrendas, saldrán de Egipto; vendrán embajadores, traerán plata; Etiopía extenderá sus manos a Dios.
32 Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God; sing psalms of the Lord, (Selah)
Haz canciones a Dios, reinos de la tierra; Oh, haz canciones de alabanza al Señor; (Selah)
33 Of him that rideth upon the heavens, the heavens which are of old: lo, he uttereth his voice, a mighty voice.
Al que va, o a las nubes del cielo, al cielo que era desde los primeros tiempos; él envía su voz de poder.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
Deja en claro que la fortaleza es de Dios: él es levantado sobre Israel, y su poder está en las nubes.
35 Terrible art thou, O God, out of thy sanctuaries, — the God of Israel! He it is that giveth strength and might unto the people. Blessed be God!
Oh Dios, serás temido en tu lugar santo: el Dios de Israel da fortaleza y poder a su pueblo. Alabado sea Dios.
