Psalms 62
1 To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. A Psalm of David. Upon God alone doth my soul rest peacefully; from him is my salvation.
Dem Sangmeister auf Jeduthun. Ein Psalm Davids. Sei stille nur in Gott, du meine Seele; von Ihm kommt mein Heil.
2 He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be greatly moved.
Nur Er ist mein Fels und mein Heil, meine Burg, ich werde viel nicht wanken.
3 How long will ye assail a man; will ye [seek], all of you, to break him down as a bowing wall or a tottering fence?
Wie lange wollt ihr auf einen Mann anstürmen, wollt ihr alle ihn morden, wie eine sich neigende Wand, wie eine umgestoßene Mauer?
4 They only consult to thrust [him] down from his excellency; they delight in lies; they bless with their mouth, but in their inward part they curse. (Selah)
Sie gehen nur zu Rate, ihn von seiner Erhabenheit zu stoßen, sie haben Gefallen am Falschen, segnen mit dem Mund, und in ihrem Inneren fluchen sie. (Selah)
5 Upon God alone, O my soul, rest peacefully; for my expectation is from him.
In Gott nur, meine Seele, sei stille; denn von Ihm ist meine Hoffnung.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation; my high fortress: I shall not be moved.
Nur Er ist mein Fels und mein Heil, meine Burg, ich werde nicht wanken.
7 With God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Mein Heil und meine Herrlichkeit ist bei Gott, der Fels meiner Stärke und meiner Zuversicht ist in Gott.
8 Confide in him at all times, ye people; pour out your heart before him: God is our refuge. (Selah)
Vertraue alle Zeit auf Ihn, o Volk, vor Ihm schüttet euer Herz aus, Gott ist unsere Zuversicht! (Selah)
9 Men of low degree are only vanity; men of high degree, a lie: laid in the balance, they go up together [lighter] than vanity.
Nur Nichtigkeit sind die Söhne des Menschen, Falschheit die Söhne des Mannes; sie steigen auf in der Waage allzumal mehr als die Nichtigkeit.
10 Put not confidence in oppression, and become not vain in robbery; if wealth increase, set not your heart upon it.
Vertraut nicht auf Erpreßtes und werdet nicht ob Entrissenem nichtig; wächst euer Vermögen heran, so setzet euer Herz nicht darein.
11 Once hath God spoken, twice have I heard this, that strength [belongeth] unto God.
Einmal hat Gott geredet, zweimal habe ich das gehört, daß Gottes ist die Stärke.
12 And unto thee, O Lord, [belongeth] loving-kindness; for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
Und Dein, Herr, ist Barmherzigkeit, denn Du erstattest dem Manne nach seinem Tun.
