Psalms 55

1 To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments: an instruction. Of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

۱ برای سالار مغنیان. قصیده داود بر ذوات اوتار ای خدا به دعای من گوش بگیر! و خودرا از تضرع من پنهان مکن!

2 Attend unto me, and answer me: I wander about in my plaint, and I moan aloud,

۲ به من گوش فراگیر و مرا مستجاب فرما! زیرا که در تفکر خودمتحیرم و ناله می‌کنم.

3 Because of the voice of the enemy; because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in anger they persecute me.

۳ از آواز دشمن و به‌سبب ظلم شریر، زیرا که ظلم بر من می‌اندازند وبا خشم بر من جفا می‌کنند.

4 My heart is writhing within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

۴ دل من در اندرونم پیچ و تاب می کند، و ترسهای موت بر من افتاده است.

5 Fear and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

۵ ترس و لرز به من در‌آمده است. وحشتی هولناک مرا در‌گرفته است.

6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away, and be at rest;

۶ و گفتم کاش که مرابالها مثل کبوتر می‌بود تا پرواز کرده، استراحت می‌یافتم.

7 Behold, I would flee afar off, I would lodge in the wilderness; (Selah)

۷ هرآینه بجای دور می‌پریدم، و درصحرا ماوا می‌گزیدم، سلاه.

8 I would hasten my escape from the stormy wind, from the tempest.

۸ می‌شتافتم بسوی پناهگاهی، از باد تند و از طوفان شدید.

9 Swallow [them] up, Lord; divide their tongue: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

۹ ‌ای خداوند آنها را هلاک کن و زبانهایشان راتفریق نما زیرا که در شهر ظلم و جنگ دیده‌ام.

10 Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof; and iniquity and mischief are in the midst of it.

۱۰ روز و شب بر حصارهایش گردش می‌کنند وشرارت و مشقت در میانش می‌باشد.

11 Perversities are in the midst thereof; and oppression and deceit depart not from its streets.

۱۱ فسادهادر میان وی است و جور و حیله از کوچه هایش دور نمی شود.

12 For it is not an enemy that hath reproached me — then could I have borne it; neither is it he that hateth me that hath magnified [himself] against me — then would I have hidden myself from him;

۱۲ زیرا دشمن نبود که مرا ملامت می‌کرد والا تحمل می‌کردم؛ و خصم من نبود که بر من سربلندی می‌نمود؛ والا خود را از وی پنهان می‌ساختم.

13 But it was thou, a man mine equal, mine intimate, my familiar friend. ...

۱۳ بلکه تو بودی‌ای مرد نظیر من! ای یار خالص و دوست صدیق من!

14 We who held sweet intercourse together. To the house of God we walked amid the throng.

۱۴ که با یکدیگرمشورت شیرین می‌کردیم و به خانه خدا در انبوه می‌خرامیدیم.

15 Let death seize upon them, let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwellings, in their midst. (Sheol h7585)

۱۵ موت بر ایشان ناگهان آید وزنده بگور فرو روند. زیرا شرارت در مسکن های ایشان و در میان ایشان است. (Sheol h7585)

16 As for me, unto God will I call; and Jehovah will save me.

۱۶ و اما من نزد خدا فریاد می‌کنم و خداوندمرا نجات خواهد داد.

17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and moan aloud; and he will hear my voice.

۱۷ شامگاهان و صبح وظهر شکایت و ناله می‌کنم و او آواز مرا خواهدشنید.

18 He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle against me: for there were many about me.

۱۸ جانم را از جنگی که بر من شده بود، بسلامتی فدیه داده است. زیرا بسیاری با من مقاومت می‌کردند.

19 God will hear, and afflict them: he that is seated of old, (Selah) ...because there is no change in them, and they fear not God.

۱۹ خدا خواهد شنید و ایشان را جواب خواهد داد، او که از ازل نشسته است، سلاه. زیراکه در ایشان تبدیلها نیست و از خدانمی ترسند.

20 He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him; he hath profaned his covenant.

۲۰ دست خود را بر صلح اندیشان خویش دراز کرده، و عهد خویش را شکسته است.

21 Smooth were the milky [words] of his mouth, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.

۲۱ سخنان چرب زبانش نرم، لیکن دلش جنگ است. سخنانش چرب تر از روغن لیکن شمشیرهای برهنه است.

22 Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.

۲۲ نصیب خود را به خداوند بسپار و تو را رزق خواهد داد. او تا به ابدنخواهد گذاشت که مرد عادل جنبش خورد.

23 And thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days. But as for me, I will confide in thee.

۲۳ وتو‌ای خدا ایشان را به چاه هلاکت فرو خواهی آورد. مردمان خون ریز و حیله ساز، روزهای خودرا نیمه نخواهند کرد، لیکن من بر تو توکل خواهم داشت.
