< Psalms 4 >
1 To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness: in pressure thou hast enlarged me; be gracious unto me, and hear my prayer.
Abụ Ọma nke dịrị onyeisi abụ. Abụ Ọma Devid nke a na-eji ụbọ akwara akpọ. Zaa m mgbe m na-akpọku gị Chineke m, gị onye ezi omume; Napụta m site nʼihe mgbu m, meere m ebere, nụrụkwa ekpere m.
2 Ye sons of men, till when is my glory [to be put] to shame? [How long] will ye love vanity, will ye seek after a lie? (Selah)
Unu ụmụ mmadụ, ruo ole mgbe ka unu ga-atụgharịa ebube m, mee ka ọ bụrụ ihe ihere? Ruo ole mgbe ka unu ga-ahụ ihe efu nʼanya na-achọ chi ndị ahụ na-abụghị chi nʼezie? (Sela)
3 But know that Jehovah hath set apart the pious [man] for himself: Jehovah will hear when I call unto him.
Matanụ nke ọma na Onyenwe anyị ahọpụtala ndị ezi omume nye onwe ya; ọ ga-egekwa ntị nʼolu m mgbe ọbụla m kpọkuru ya.
4 Be moved with anger, and sin not; meditate in your own hearts upon your bed, and be still. (Selah)
Maanụ jijiji, unu emehiekwala; mgbe unu nọ nʼelu ihe ndina unu; nọọnụ jụụ na-enyocha obi unu. (Sela)
5 Offer sacrifices of righteousness, and confide in Jehovah.
Tụkwasịnụ Onyenwe anyị obi unu, chụkwaranụ ya aja ezi omume.
6 Many say, Who shall cause us to see good? Lift up upon us the light of thy countenance, O Jehovah.
Ọtụtụ ndị mmadụ na-ajụ, “Onye pụrụ imere anyị ihe ọma?” Ma Onyenwe anyị, biko mee ka ìhè nke ihu gị mụkwasị anyị.
7 Thou hast put joy in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their new wine was in abundance.
Were ọṅụ mejupụta obi m karịa mgbe mkpụrụ ubi, ya na mmanya ọhụrụ ha bara ụba nke ukwuu.
8 In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; for thou, Jehovah, alone makest me to dwell in safety.
Aga m edina ala ma rahụ ụra nʼudo, nʼihi na ọ bụ naanị gị Onyenwe anyị, na-eme ka m nọrọ na-enweghị ihe egwu ọbụla.
