Psalms 38
1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
൧ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ജ്ഞാപക സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, കോപത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശാസിക്കരുതേ. ക്രോധത്തോടെ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയും അരുതേ.
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand cometh down upon me.
൨അങ്ങയുടെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് തറച്ചുകയറിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവിടുത്തെ കൈ എന്റെ മേൽ ഭാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; no peace in my bones, because of my sin.
൩അങ്ങയുടെ നീരസം മൂലം എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന് സൗഖ്യമില്ല; എന്റെ പാപംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ സ്വസ്ഥതയുമില്ല.
4 For mine iniquities are gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
൪എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ എന്റെ തലയ്ക്കുമീതെ കവിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭാരമുള്ള ചുമടുപോലെ അവ എനിക്ക് അതിഘനമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
5 My wounds stink, they are corrupt, because of my foolishness.
൫എന്റെ ഭോഷത്തം ഹേതുവായി എന്റെ വ്രണങ്ങൾ ചീഞ്ഞ് നാറുന്നു.
6 I am depressed; I am bowed down beyond measure; I go mourning all the day.
൬ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞ് നിലത്തോളം താണിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ ദുഃഖിച്ച് നടക്കുന്നു.
7 For my loins are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
൭എന്റെ അരയിൽ വരൾച്ച നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന് സൗഖ്യമില്ല.
8 I am faint and broken beyond measure; I roar by reason of the agitation of my heart.
൮ഞാൻ ക്ഷീണത്താൽ അത്യന്തം തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ അസ്വസ്ഥത നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.
൯കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ ആഗ്രഹം എല്ലാം തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ഞരക്കം അങ്ങേക്ക് മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
10 My heart throbbeth, my strength hath left me; and the light of mine eyes, it also is no more with me.
൧൦എന്റെ നെഞ്ചിടിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ശക്തിഹീനനായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും ഇല്ലാതെയായി.
11 My lovers and mine associates stand aloof from my stroke; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
൧൧എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതന്മാരും സഖാക്കളും എന്റെ ബാധ കണ്ട് അകന്ന് നില്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അടുത്ത ബന്ധുക്കളും അകന്ന് നില്ക്കുന്നു.
12 And they that seek after my life lay snares [for me]; and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.
൧൨എനിക്ക് പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവർ കെണി വയ്ക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അനർത്ഥം കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവർ അനാവശ്യമായി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഇടവിടാതെ ചതിവ് ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.
13 But I, as a deaf [man], hear not; and am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
൧൩എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ ചെകിടനെപ്പോലെ കേൾക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നു; വായ് തുറക്കാതെ ഊമനെപ്പോലെ ആയിരുന്നു.
14 Yea, I am as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
൧൪ഞാൻ, കേൾക്കാത്ത മനുഷ്യനെപ്പോലെയും വായിൽ ശകാരം ഇല്ലാത്തവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരുന്നു.
15 For in thee, Jehovah, do I hope: thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.
൧൫യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയിൽ ഞാൻ പ്രത്യാശ വച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, അവിടുന്ന് ഉത്തരം അരുളും.
16 For I said, Let them not rejoice over me! When my foot slipped, they magnified [themselves] against me.
൧൬“അവർ എന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷിക്കരുതേ” എന്ന് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ കാൽ വഴുതുമ്പോൾ അവർ എന്റെ നേരെ വമ്പ് പറയുമല്ലോ.
17 For I am ready to halt, and my pain is continually before me.
൧൭ഞാൻ കാൽ ഇടറി വീഴുവാൻ തുടങ്ങുന്നു; എന്റെ ദുഃഖം എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
18 For I will declare mine iniquity, I am grieved for my sin.
൧൮ഞാൻ എന്റെ അകൃത്യം ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു.
19 But mine enemies are lively, they are strong; and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied:
൧൯എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ വീറും ബലവുമുള്ളവർ, എന്നെ വെറുതെ ദ്വേഷിയ്ക്കുന്നവർ പെരുകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
20 And they that render evil for good are adversaries unto me; because I pursue what is good.
൨൦ഞാൻ നന്മ പിന്തുടരുകയാൽ അവർ എനിക്ക് വിരോധികളായി നന്മയ്ക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നു.
21 Forsake me not, Jehovah; O my God, be not far from me.
൨൧യഹോവേ, എന്നെ കൈ വിടരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നോട് അകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
൨൨എന്റെ രക്ഷയാകുന്ന കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി വേഗം വരണമേ.
