Psalms 38
1 A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance. Jehovah, rebuke me not in thy wrath; neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
দাউদের গীত। একটি প্রার্থনা। হে সদাপ্রভু, তোমার রাগে আমাকে তিরস্কার কোরো না ক্রোধে আমাকে শাসন কোরো না।
2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand cometh down upon me.
তোমার তিরগুলি আমাকে বিদ্ধ করেছে, এবং তোমার হাত আমার উপর নেমে এসেছে।
3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine indignation; no peace in my bones, because of my sin.
তোমার রোষে আমার সারা শরীর জীর্ণ হয়েছে; আমার পাপের জন্য আমার হাড়গোড়ে কোনো শক্তি নেই।
4 For mine iniquities are gone over my head: as a heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
আমার দোষভার আমাকে বিচলিত করেছে তা এমন এক বোঝা যা বহন করা খুবই কষ্টকর।
5 My wounds stink, they are corrupt, because of my foolishness.
আমার পাপের মূর্খতায় আমার দেহের ক্ষতস্থানগুলি আজ দূষিত ও দুর্গন্ধময় হয়েছে।
6 I am depressed; I am bowed down beyond measure; I go mourning all the day.
আমি আজ অবনত হয়েছি ও অত্যন্ত মনমরা হয়ে পড়েছি; বিষণ্ণতায় আমার সারাদিন কাটছে।
7 For my loins are full of burning, and there is no soundness in my flesh.
এক তীব্র যন্ত্রণা আমার দেহকে জীর্ণ করেছে; আমার প্রাণে কোনও স্বাস্থ্য নেই।
8 I am faint and broken beyond measure; I roar by reason of the agitation of my heart.
আমি জীর্ণ ও সম্পূর্ণ বিধ্বস্ত হয়েছি, তীব্র মনোবেদনায় আমি হাহাকার করছি।
9 Lord, all my desire is before thee, and my sighing is not hid from thee.
হে প্রভু, আমার সমস্ত কামনা তোমার সামনে উন্মুক্ত, আমার দীর্ঘশ্বাস তোমার কাছে গুপ্ত নয়।
10 My heart throbbeth, my strength hath left me; and the light of mine eyes, it also is no more with me.
আমার হৃদয় কম্পিত, আমার শক্তি নিঃশেষ হয়েছে, আমার চোখ থেকে আমার দৃষ্টি হারিয়েছে।
11 My lovers and mine associates stand aloof from my stroke; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
আমার রোগের জন্য আমার বন্ধু ও প্রিয়জনেরা আমাকে ত্যাগ করেছে, আমার প্রতিবেশীরাও আমার থেকে দূরে থাকে।
12 And they that seek after my life lay snares [for me]; and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and meditate deceits all the day long.
যারা আমার প্রাণ নিতে চায় তারা আমার জন্য ফাঁদ পেতেছে, যারা আমার অনিষ্ট করতে চায় তারা আমার ধ্বংসের কথা বলে; সারাদিন ধরে তারা ছলনার ষড়যন্ত্র করে।
13 But I, as a deaf [man], hear not; and am as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
আমি বধিরের মতো হয়েছি যে কানে শুনতে পারে না, বোবার মতো হয়েছি যে কথা বলতে পারে না।
14 Yea, I am as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
আমি এমন এক ব্যক্তির মতো হয়েছি যে কিছুই শুনতে পারে না, যার মুখ কোনো উত্তর দিতে পারে না।
15 For in thee, Jehovah, do I hope: thou wilt answer, O Lord my God.
হে সদাপ্রভু, আমি তোমার অপেক্ষায় আছি; তুমি আমায় উত্তর দেবে, হে প্রভু আমার ঈশ্বর।
16 For I said, Let them not rejoice over me! When my foot slipped, they magnified [themselves] against me.
আমি প্রার্থনা করি, “আমার শত্রুরা যেন আমার পতনে আমাকে নিয়ে উল্লাস না করে বা আনন্দ না করে।”
17 For I am ready to halt, and my pain is continually before me.
আমার পতন আসন্ন, আর যন্ত্রণা প্রতিনিয়ত আমার সঙ্গী।
18 For I will declare mine iniquity, I am grieved for my sin.
আমি আমার অপরাধ স্বীকার করি; আমার পাপের জন্য আমি অত্যন্ত অনুতপ্ত।
19 But mine enemies are lively, they are strong; and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied:
অনেকে অকারণে আমার শত্রু হয়েছে, অসংখ্য লোক অকারণে আমাকে ঘৃণা করে।
20 And they that render evil for good are adversaries unto me; because I pursue what is good.
যারা আমার উপকারের বিনিময়ে অপকার করে তারা আমার বিরুদ্ধে অভিযোগ নিয়ে আসে, যদিও আমি ভালো করারই চেষ্টা করি।
21 Forsake me not, Jehovah; O my God, be not far from me.
হে সদাপ্রভু, আমাকে পরিত্যাগ কোরো না; হে আমার ঈশ্বর, তুমি আমার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে থেকো না।
22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation.
হে আমার প্রভু ও আমার রক্ষাকর্তা, তাড়াতাড়ি এসে আমাকে সাহায্য করো।
