Psalms 37
1 [A Psalm] of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, and be not envious of them that work unrighteousness;
౧దావీదు కీర్తన చెడ్డ వారిని చూసి నువ్వు క్షోభపడకు. అధర్మంగా ప్రవర్తించే వాళ్ళని చూసి అసూయ పడకు.
2 for they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and fade as the green herb.
౨ఎందుకంటే వాళ్ళు గడ్డిలాగా త్వరలోనే ఎండిపోతారు. పచ్చటి మొక్కల్లా వాడి పోతారు.
3 Confide in Jehovah, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on faithfulness;
౩యెహోవాలో నమ్మకం ఉంచు. ఏది మంచిదో దాన్నే చెయ్యి. దేశంలో స్థిరపడి విశ్వసనీయతను ఆచరించు.
4 and delight thyself in Jehovah, and he will give thee the desires of thy heart.
౪తర్వాత యెహోవాలో ఆనందించు. నీ హృదయంలోని ఆశలన్నిటినీ ఆయన తీరుస్తాడు.
5 Commit thy way unto Jehovah, and rely upon him: he will bring [it] to pass;
౫నీ జీవిత గమనాన్ని యెహోవాకు అప్పగించు. ఆయనలో నమ్మకముంచు. ఆయన నీ తరుపున పని చేస్తాడు.
6 and he will bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
౬పగటి వెలుగులా నీ న్యాయవర్తననూ, మధ్యాహ్నపు వెలుగులా నీ నిర్దోషత్వాన్నీ ఆయన చూపిస్తాడు.
7 Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him that prospereth in his way, because of the man that bringeth mischievous devices to pass.
౭యెహోవా ఎదుట మౌనంగా ఉండు. సహనంతో ఆయన కోసం వేచి ఉండు. దుర్మార్గాలు చేసి ఎవరన్నా విజయం సాధిస్తే చింతించకు. ఎవరన్నా కుట్రలు చేస్తే విచారించకు.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself: it [would be] only to do evil.
౮కోపపడకు. నిరుత్సాహపడకు. చింతపడకు. దానివల్ల సమస్యలు కలుగుతాయి.
9 For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait on Jehovah, they shall possess the land.
౯దుర్మార్గకార్యాలు చేసే వాళ్ళు నిర్మూలం అవుతారు. కానీ యెహోవా కోసం వేచి చూసే వాళ్ళు దేశాన్ని స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంటారు.
10 For yet a little while, and the wicked is not; and thou considerest his place, but he is not.
౧౦ఇక కొద్ది కాలంలోగా దుర్మార్గుడు లేకుండా పోతాడు. అతడున్న స్థలాన్ని నువ్వు ఎంత వెదికినా అతడు కనిపించడు.
11 But the meek shall possess the land, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of prosperity.
౧౧నమ్రత గలవాళ్ళు భూమిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంటారు. గొప్ప సమృద్ధి కలిగి సంతోషిస్తారు.
12 The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth his teeth against him.
౧౨దుష్టుడు ధర్మాత్ముడికి వ్యతిరేకంగా కుట్రలు చేస్తాడు. వాడు అతనికి విరోధంగా పళ్ళు కొరుకుతాడు.
13 The Lord laugheth at him; for he seeth that his day is coming.
౧౩వాళ్ళ సమయం అయిపోవచ్చింది కాబట్టి ప్రభువు వాళ్ళను చూసి నవ్వుతాడు.
14 The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the afflicted and needy, to slay those that are upright in [the] way:
౧౪అణచివేతకి గురైన వాళ్ళనీ పేదలనీ నిరుత్సాహపరచడానికీ, నిజాయితీగా ఉండేవాళ్ళనీ చంపడానికీ దుష్టులు తమ కత్తులు దూశారు. తమ విల్లును వంచారు.
15 their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.
౧౫వాళ్ళ కత్తులు వాళ్ళ గుండెల్నే చీల్చివేస్తాయి. వాళ్ళ విల్లులు విరిగిపోతాయి.
16 The little that the righteous hath is better than the abundance of many wicked;
౧౬దుష్టుల దగ్గర ఉన్న సమృద్ధి కంటే ధర్మాత్ముడి దగ్గర ఉన్న కొంచెమే శ్రేష్ఠమైనది.
17 for the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but Jehovah upholdeth the righteous.
౧౭దుష్టుల చేతులు విరిగిపోతాయి. కానీ యెహోవా ధర్మాత్ములను కాపాడతాడు.
18 Jehovah knoweth the days of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever:
౧౮యెహోవా నిందారహితులను ప్రతిరోజూ కనిపెట్టుకుని ఉంటాడు. వాళ్ళ వారసత్వం నిత్యమూ ఉంటుంది.
19 they shall not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.
౧౯రోజులు బాగా లేనప్పుడు వాళ్ళకు అవమానం కలగదు. కరువు కాలంలో వాళ్ళకు చాలినంత ఆహారం ఉంటుంది.
20 For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of Jehovah shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume, like smoke shall they consume away.
౨౦అయితే దుష్టులు నశించిపోతారు. యెహోవా విరోధుల కీర్తి పచ్చిక బయళ్ళ చందంగా ఉంటుంది. వాళ్ళు సమసిపోయి పొగలాగా కనిపించకుండా పోతారు.
21 The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again; but the righteous is gracious and giveth:
౨౧దుష్టులు అప్పు చేస్తారు, కానీ తిరిగి చెల్లించరు. కానీ ధర్మాత్ములు దయతో దానం చేస్తారు.
22 for those blessed of him shall possess the land, and they that are cursed of him shall be cut off.
౨౨యెహోవా ఆశీర్వదించిన వాళ్ళు భూమిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంటారు. ఆయన ఎవరినైతే శపిస్తాడో వాళ్ళు నాశనమౌతారు.
23 The steps of a man are established by Jehovah, and he delighteth in his way:
౨౩దేవుని దృష్టిలో ఏ వ్యక్తి మార్గం కొనియాడదగ్గదిగా ఉందో ఆ వ్యక్తి నడతను యెహోవా స్థిరపరుస్తాడు.
24 though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Jehovah upholdeth his hand.
౨౪యెహోవా అతని చెయ్యి పట్టుకుని ఉన్నాడు కాబట్టి అతడు తన మార్గంలో తడబడినా కిందపడడు.
25 I have been young, and now am old, and I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread:
౨౫నేను ఒకప్పుడు చిన్నవాడిగా ఉన్నాను. ఇప్పుడు పెద్దవాణ్ణి అయ్యాను. అయితే నీతిమంతుడు అనాథ కావడం గానీ, లేదా అతడి పిల్లలు అడుక్కోవడం గానీ నేను చూడలేదు.
26 all the day he is gracious and lendeth, and his seed shall be a blessing.
౨౬అతడు రోజంతా దయతో అప్పులిస్తూ ఉంటాడు. అతని పిల్లలు ఆశీర్వాదంగా ఉంటారు.
27 Depart from evil, and do good, and dwell for evermore;
౨౭చెడు నుండి మళ్ళుకో. ఏది మంచిదో దాన్ని చెయ్యి. అప్పుడు నువ్వు కలకాలం సురక్షితంగా ఉంటావు.
28 for Jehovah loveth judgment, and will not forsake his saints: They are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
౨౮ఎందుకంటే యెహోవా న్యాయాన్ని ప్రేమిస్తాడు. విశ్వాసంతో తనను అనుసరించే వాళ్ళను ఆయన విడిచిపెట్టడు. వాళ్ళను శాశ్వతంగా భద్రపరుస్తాడు. అయితే దుర్మార్గుల సంతానం నాశనం అవుతుంది.
29 The righteous shall possess the land, and dwell therein for ever.
౨౯నీతిమంతులు భూమిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకుంటారు. అక్కడ వాళ్ళు కలకాలం జీవిస్తారు.
30 The mouth of the righteous proffereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh judgment;
౩౦నీతిమంతుని నోరు జ్ఞానాన్ని పలుకుతుంది. అది న్యాయాన్ని అధికం చేస్తుంది.
31 the law of his God is in his heart; his goings shall not slide.
౩౧అతని హృదయంలో అతని దేవుని ధర్మశాస్త్రం ఉంది. అతని అడుగులు జారవు.
32 The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him:
౩౨దుర్మార్గుడు ధర్మాత్ముణ్ణి గమనిస్తూ ఉంటాడు. అతణ్ణి చంపడానికి చూస్తూ ఉంటాడు.
33 Jehovah will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.
౩౩అయితే యెహోవా అతణ్ణి దుష్టుడి చేతిలో వదిలిపెట్టడు. అతనికి తీర్పు జరిగే సమయంలో నేరం మోపడు.
34 Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to possess the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see [it].
౩౪యెహోవా కోసం వేచి ఉండు. ఆయన మార్గాన్ని అనుసరించు. భూమిని స్వాధీనం చేసుకోవడానికి ఆయన నిన్ను లేపుతాడు. దుర్మార్గులు నిర్మూలమైనప్పుడు నువ్వు చూస్తావు.
35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading like a green tree in its native soil:
౩౫భీకరుడైన దుర్మార్గుడు స్వంత నేలలో పెరిగిన పెద్ద పచ్చని చెట్టులా విస్తరించడం నేను చూశాను.
36 but he passed away, and behold, he was not; and I sought him, but he was not found.
౩౬అయితే నేను ఆ దారిన వెళ్ళినప్పుడు నేను వాడి కోసం చూశానుగానీ వాడు నాకు కనిపించలేదు.
37 Mark the perfect, and behold the upright, for the end of [that] man is peace;
౩౭చిత్తశుద్ధి కలిగిన వ్యక్తిని గమనించు. యథార్ధంగా ఉండే వాణ్ణి కనిపెట్టు. శాంతి కోసం జీవించేవాడికి మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ఉంటుంది.
38 but the transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.
౩౮పాపులు సమూలంగా నాశనం అవుతారు. దుర్మార్గుడికి భవిష్యత్తు ఉండదు.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of Jehovah: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
౩౯నీతిపరులకు యెహోవా దగ్గరనుండే ముక్తి కలుగుతుంది. వేదన సమయంలో ఆయన వాళ్ళను కాపాడతాడు.
40 And Jehovah will help them and deliver them: he will deliver them from the wicked, and save them; for they trust in him.
౪౦యెహోవా వాళ్ళని దుర్మార్గుల బారినుంచి రక్షిస్తాడు. ఎందుకంటే వాళ్ళు ఆయనలో ఆశ్రయం పొందారు.
