Psalms 35
1 [A Psalm] of David. Strive, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me:
Von David. HERR, hadere mit meinen Haderern, streite mit denen, die wider mich streiten!
2 Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help;
Ergreife Schild und Tartsche und erhebe dich, mir zu helfen!
3 And draw out the spear, and stop [the way] against my pursuers: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
Zücke den Speer und tritt meinen Verfolgern entgegen; sprich zu meiner Seele: Dein Heil bin ich!
4 Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt:
Es müssen beschämt und zuschanden werden, die mir nach dem Leben trachten, es sollen zurückweichen und schamrot werden, die mein Unglück wollen.
5 Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive [them] away;
Sie müssen werden wie Spreu vor dem Winde, und der Engel des HERRN vertreibe sie!
6 Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of Jehovah pursue them.
Ihr Weg sei finster und glatt, und der Engel des HERRN verfolge sie!
7 For without cause have they hidden for me their net [in] a pit; without cause they have digged [it] for my soul.
Denn sie haben mir ohne Ursache ihr Netz gestellt, ohne allen Grund meiner Seele eine Grube gegraben.
8 Let destruction come upon him unawares, and let his net which he hath hidden catch himself: for destruction let him fall therein.
Möge ihn unversehens Unglück überfallen und das Netz, das er gestellt hat, ihn selber fangen, so daß er ins Verderben hineinfällt.
9 And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in his salvation.
Aber meine Seele soll sich freuen am HERRN und sich ergötzen an seinem Heil!
10 All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him!
Alle meine Gebeine sollen sagen: HERR, wer ist dir gleich, der du den Elenden errettest von dem, der ihm zu stark ist, und die Elenden und Armen von dem, der ihn beraubt?
11 Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not.
Es treten freche Zeugen auf, die mich über Dinge zur Rede stellen, wovon ich nichts weiß.
12 They reward me evil for good, [to] the bereavement of my soul.
Sie vergelten Gutes mit Bösem, bringen Vereinsamung über mich!
13 But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom:
Ich aber bekleidete mich, als sie krank waren, mit einem Sack; ich beugte meine Seele mit Fasten und betete gesenkten Hauptes für sie;
14 I behaved myself as though [he had been] a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth [for] a mother.
ich benahm mich, als wäre es mein Freund, mein Bruder, und ging trauernd gebeugt einher, wie einer, der um seine Mutter leidträgt.
15 But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not:
Dennoch freuen sie sich über meinen Fall und rotten sich zusammen; Lästermäuler sammeln sich wider mich, ich weiß nicht warum; sie lästern und schweigen nicht.
16 With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me.
Mit gottlosen Schmarotzern fletschen sie die Zähne über mich.
17 Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the young lions.
O Herr, wie lange willst du zusehen? Befreie meine Seele von ihrem Gebrüll, meine einsame von den Löwen!
18 I will give thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise thee among much people.
Ich will dir danken in der großen Gemeinde, unter zahlreichem Volk will ich dich rühmen.
19 Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; let them not wink with the eye that hate me without cause.
Es sollen sich nicht über mich freuen, die mir unter falschem Vorwand feind sind; meine Hasser sollen vergeblich mit den Augen zwinkern;
20 For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land.
denn sie reden nicht zum Frieden, sondern ersinnen Verleumdungen gegen die Stillen im Lande.
21 And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha! aha! our eye hath seen [it].
Sie sperren ihr Maul weit über mich auf und rufen: «Ha, ha, unser Auge hat's gesehen!»
22 Thou hast seen [it], Jehovah: keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.
Du hast es auch gesehen, o HERR; schweige nicht! Mein Herr, sei nicht ferne von mir!
23 Stir up thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and Lord!
Wache auf und wehre dich für mein Recht, mein Gott, für meine Sache, o mein Herr!
24 Judge me, Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me.
Richte mich nach deiner Gerechtigkeit, HERR, mein Gott, daß sie sich nicht freuen dürfen über mich,
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha! so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
daß sie nicht sagen können in ihren Herzen: «Ei, es geht ja ganz nach Wunsch; wir haben ihn vertilgt!»
26 Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine adversity; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
Es müssen sich schämen und erröten alle, die sich meines Unglücks freuen; in Scham und Schande müssen sich kleiden, die wider mich großtun.
27 Let them exult and rejoice that delight in my righteousness; and let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, who delighteth in the prosperity of his servant.
Aber jauchzen und fröhlich sein sollen alle, die meine Rechtfertigung wünschen; sie sollen immerdar sagen: Der HERR sei hochgelobt, der das Heil seines Knechtes will!
28 And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness, [and] of thy praise, all the day.
Und meine Zunge soll dichten von deiner Gerechtigkeit, allezeit von deinem Ruhm!
