Psalms 28

1 [A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, Jehovah, do I call; my rock, be not silent unto me, lest, [if] thou keep silence toward me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யெகோவாவே, நான் உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்; நீர் என் கன்மலை, எனக்கு செவிகொடாமல் இருக்கவேண்டாம். நீர் மவுனமாகவே இருப்பீரானால், நான் சவக்குழியில் கிடக்கிறவர்களைப் போலாவேன்.

2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the oracle of thy holiness.

நான் உதவிக்காக உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடும்போது, நான் உமது மகா பரிசுத்த இடத்திற்கு நேராக, என் கைகளை உயர்த்தி இரக்கத்துக்காக நான் கதறுவதைக் கேளும்.

3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbours, and mischief is in their heart.

கொடியவர்களுடனும் தீமை செய்பவர்களுடனும் என்னை இழுத்துக்கொள்ளாதேயும், அவர்கள் அயலவருடன் நட்பாகப் பேசுகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்களுடைய இருதயங்களிலோ தீங்கை வைத்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

4 Give them according to their doing, and according to the wickedness of their deeds; give them after the work of their hands, render to them their desert.

அவர்களுடைய செயல்களுக்காகவும் அவர்கள் செய்த தீமைகளுக்காகவும் அவர்களுக்குப் பதில் செய்யும்; அவர்களுடைய கைகளின் செயலுக்காக அவர்களுக்குப் பதில்செய்து, அவர்களுக்குத் தக்க தண்டனையை அவர்கள்மீது கொண்டுவாரும்.

5 For they regard not the deeds of Jehovah, nor the work of his hands: he will destroy them, and not build them up.

யெகோவாவினுடைய செயல்களுக்கும், அவருடைய கரங்கள் செய்தவற்றுக்கும் அவர்கள் மதிப்புக் கொடாதபடியால், யெகோவா அவர்களை இடித்து வீழ்த்துவார்; மீண்டும் அவர்களை ஒருபோதும் கட்டியெழுப்பமாட்டார்.

6 Blessed be Jehovah, for he hath heard the voice of my supplications.

யெகோவாவுக்குத் துதி உண்டாகட்டும்; ஏனெனில் இரக்கத்துக்கான எனது கதறலை அவர் கேட்டிருக்கிறார்.

7 Jehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart confided in him, and I was helped: therefore my heart exulteth, and with my song will I praise him.

யெகோவாவே என் பெலனும் என் கேடயமுமாயிருக்கிறார்; என் இருதயம் அவரில் நம்பியிருக்கிறது, அவர் எனக்கு உதவி செய்கிறார். என் இருதயம் மகிழ்ச்சியினால் துள்ளுகிறது; நான் அவருக்குப் பாட்டினால் துதிகளைச் செலுத்துவேன்.

8 Jehovah is their strength; and he is the stronghold of salvation to his anointed one.

யெகோவா தமது மக்களின் பெலனானவர்; தாம் அபிஷேகித்தவருக்கு இரட்சிப்பின் கோட்டையும் அவரே.

9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance; and feed them, and lift them up for ever.

இறைவனே உமது மக்களைக் காப்பாற்றி, உமது உரிமைச்சொத்தான அவர்களை ஆசீர்வதியும்; அவர்களுடைய மேய்ப்பராயிருந்து அவர்களை என்றென்றும் தாங்கிக்கொள்ளும்.
