Psalms 28
1 [A Psalm] of David. Unto thee, Jehovah, do I call; my rock, be not silent unto me, lest, [if] thou keep silence toward me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
De David. Éternel! je crie à toi; mon rocher! ne te tais point envers moi; de peur que, si tu gardes le silence envers moi, je ne sois fait semblable à ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward the oracle of thy holiness.
Écoute la voix de mes supplications quand je crie à toi, quand j’élève mes mains vers l’oracle de ta sainteté.
3 Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace to their neighbours, and mischief is in their heart.
Ne m’entraîne pas avec les méchants, ni avec les ouvriers d’iniquité, qui parlent paix avec leur prochain, tandis que la méchanceté est dans leur cœur.
4 Give them according to their doing, and according to the wickedness of their deeds; give them after the work of their hands, render to them their desert.
Donne-leur selon leur œuvre et selon l’iniquité de leurs actions; donne-leur selon l’ouvrage de leurs mains, rends-leur selon ce qu’ils ont fait.
5 For they regard not the deeds of Jehovah, nor the work of his hands: he will destroy them, and not build them up.
Parce qu’ils ne discernent pas les œuvres de l’Éternel, ni l’ouvrage de ses mains, il les détruira et ne les édifiera point.
6 Blessed be Jehovah, for he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
Béni soit l’Éternel! car il a entendu la voix de mes supplications.
7 Jehovah is my strength and my shield; my heart confided in him, and I was helped: therefore my heart exulteth, and with my song will I praise him.
L’Éternel est ma force et mon bouclier; en lui mon cœur a eu sa confiance, et j’ai été secouru; et mon cœur se réjouit, et je le célébrerai dans mon cantique.
8 Jehovah is their strength; and he is the stronghold of salvation to his anointed one.
L’Éternel est leur force, et il est le lieu fort des délivrances de son oint.
9 Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance; and feed them, and lift them up for ever.
Sauve ton peuple, et bénis ton héritage; et pais-les, et élève-les pour toujours.
