Psalms 21
1 To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, Jehovah; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice.
੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਫ਼ਤਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਗਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ!
2 Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. (Selah)
੨ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ। ਸਲਹ।
3 For thou hast met him with the blessings of goodness; thou hast set a crown of pure gold on his head.
੩ਭਲਿਆਈ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਰਕਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਕੁੰਦਨ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਮੁਕਟ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।
4 He asked life of thee; thou gavest [it] him, length of days for ever and ever.
੪ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਕਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਉਮਰ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਵੀ।
5 His glory is great through thy salvation; majesty and splendour hast thou laid upon him.
੫ਤੇਰੀ ਮਦਦ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੈ, ਤੇਜ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਮਾ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
6 For thou hast made him to be blessings for ever; thou hast filled him with joy by thy countenance.
੬ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਬਰਕਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਠਹਿਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਮਗਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ,
7 For the king confideth in Jehovah: and through the loving-kindness of the Most High he shall not be moved.
੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਟਾਲੇਗਾ।
8 Thy hand shall find out all thine enemies; thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
੮ਤੇਰਾ ਹੱਥ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਕੇ ਕੱਢੇਗਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਸੱਜਾ ਹੱਥ ਤੇਰੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thy presence; Jehovah shall swallow them up in his anger, and the fire shall devour them:
੯ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਦੇ ਤੰਦੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵੇਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਗਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ।
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
੧੦ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ,
11 For they intended evil against thee; they imagined a mischievous device, which they could not execute.
੧੧ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਠਾਣੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ,
12 For thou wilt make them turn their back; thou wilt make ready thy bowstring against their face.
੧੨ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੋੜੇਂਗਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਦੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਿੱਲੇ ਚੜਾ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ।
13 Be thou exalted, Jehovah, in thine own strength: we will sing and celebrate thy power.
੧੩ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਜਸ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
