< Psalms 20 >

1 To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Jehovah answer thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob protect thee;
Ki he Takimuʻa, ko e Saame ʻa Tevita. Ke ongoʻi koe ʻe Sihova ʻi he ʻaho ʻoe mamahi; ke maluʻi koe ʻe he huafa ʻoe ʻOtua ʻo Sēkope;
2 May he send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;
‌ʻO fekau hoʻo tokoni mei he faletapu, mo fakamālohi koe mei Saione;
3 Remember all thine oblations, and accept thy burnt-offering; (Selah)
‌ʻO manatuʻi hoʻo meʻa foaki kotoa pē, pea finangalo lelei ki hoʻo feilaulau tutu; (Sila)
4 Grant thee according to thy heart, and fulfil all thy counsels.
Pea foaki kiate koe ʻo hangē ko ho loto, ʻo fakahoko ʻaia ʻoku ke fakakaukau ki ai.
5 We will triumph in thy salvation, and in the name of our God will we set up our banners. Jehovah fulfil all thy petitions!
Te mau fiefia ʻi hoʻo fakamoʻui, pea ʻi he huafa ʻo homau ʻOtua te mau fokotuʻu ʻemau ngaahi fuka: ke tuku kiate koe ʻe Sihova ʻa hoʻo ngaahi kole kotoa pē.
6 Now know I that Jehovah saveth his anointed; he answereth him from the heavens of his holiness, with the saving strength of his right hand.
Pea ko eni, ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻoku fakamoʻui ʻe Sihova ʻa ʻene pani; te ne ongoʻi ia mei hono potu toputapu māʻoniʻoni ʻaki ʻae mālohi fakamoʻui ʻo hono nima toʻomataʻu.
7 Some make mention of chariots, and some of horses, but we of the name of Jehovah our God.
‌ʻOku falala ʻae niʻihi ki he ngaahi saliote, mo e niʻihi ki he fanga hoosi: ka te tau manatuʻi ʻae huafa ʻo Sihova ko hotau ʻOtua.
8 They are bowed down and fallen; but we are risen and stand upright.
Kuo lī ki lalo ʻo tō ʻakinautolu: ka kuo tau tuʻuhake, ʻo tuʻu ki ʻolunga.
9 Save, Jehovah! Let the king answer us in the day we call.
‌ʻE Sihova, ke ke fakamoʻui ʻae tuʻi ke ke ongoʻi ʻakimautolu ʻi heʻemau ui atu.
