Psalms 18
1 To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David, the servant of Jehovah, who spoke to Jehovah the words of this song in the day that Jehovah had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies and out of the hand of Saul. And he said, I will love thee, O Jehovah, my strength.
हे परमप्रभु, मेरो बल, म तपाईंलाई प्रेम गर्छु ।
2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
परमप्रभु मेरो चट्टान, मेरो किल्ला हुनुहुन्छ, जसले मलाई सुरक्षामा लानुहुन्छ । उहाँ मेरो परमेश्वर, मेरो चट्टाना हुनुहुन्छ । उहाँमा नै म शरण लिन्छु । उहाँ मेरो ढाल, मेरो उद्धारको सिङ् र मेरो किल्ला हुनुहुन्छ ।
3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.
म परमप्रभुलाई पुकारा गर्छु जो प्रशंसायोग्य हुनुहुन्छ र म आफ्ना शत्रुहरूबाट बाँच्नेछु ।
4 The bands of death encompassed me, and torrents of Belial made me afraid.
मृत्युका डोरीहरूले मलाई बाँधे र व्यर्थका छालहरूले मलाई व्याकुल बनाए ।
चिहानका डोरीहरूले मलाई बाँधे । मृत्युको पासोले मलाई समात्यो । (Sheol h7585)
6 In my distress I called upon Jehovah, and I cried out to my God; he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, into his ears.
मेरो कष्टमा, मैले परमप्रभुमा पुकारा गरें । मैले सहायताको निम्ति मेरो परमेश्वरमा पुकारा गरें । उहाँले आफ्नो मन्दिरबाट मेरो सोर सुन्नुभयो । सहायताको निम्ति मेरो पुकारा उहाँको उपस्थितिमा गयो । यो उहाँको कानहरूभित्र गयो ।
7 Then the earth shook and quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled and shook, because he was wroth.
तब पृथ्वी हल्लियो र काम्यो । पहाडहरूका जगहरू पनि कामे र हल्लिए किनभने परमेश्वर रिसाउनुभयो ।
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals burned forth from it.
उहाँको नाकका प्वालहरूबाट धूँवा माथि गयो र उहाँको मुखबाट बल्दो आगो निस्केर आयो । यसले कोइलाहरू बाल्यो ।
9 And he bowed the heavens, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
उहाँले स्वर्ग खोल्नुभयो, र तल आउनुभयो र उहाँको पाउमुनि बाक्लो अध्याँरो थियो ।
10 And he rode upon a cherub and did fly; yea, he flew fast upon the wings of the wind.
उहाँ करूबमा चढ्नुभयो र उड्नुभयो । हावाको पखेटाहरूमा उहाँ सवार हुनुभयो ।
11 He made darkness his secret place, his tent round about him: darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
अन्धकार र आकाशको बाक्लो बादललाई उहाँले आफ्नो वरिपरिको पाल बनाउनुभयो ।
12 From the brightness before him his thick clouds passed forth: hail and coals of fire.
उहाँको सामु बिजुलीबाट असिना र आगोका भुङ्ग्रोहरू झरे ।
13 And Jehovah thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered his voice: hail and coals of fire.
परमप्रभु स्वर्गबाट गर्जनुभयो । सर्वोच्चको आवाजले कराउनुयो ।
14 And he sent his arrows, and scattered [mine enemies]; and he shot forth lightnings, and discomfited them.
उहाँले आफ्ना वाणहरू प्रहार गर्नुभयो र आफ्ना शत्रुहरूलाई तितरबितर पार्नुभयो । धेरै चट्याङहरूले तिनीहरूलाई तितरबितर पारे ।
15 And the beds of the waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered at thy rebuke, Jehovah, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.
तब पानीका धारहरू देखा परे । हे परमप्रभु, तपाईंको हप्की र तपाईंको नाकको प्वालहरूका सासको विष्फोटले संसारका जगहरू उदाङ्गो पारिए ।
16 He reached forth from above, he took me, he drew me out of great waters:
उहाँले माथिबाट हात पसार्नुभयो । उहाँले मलाई समात्नुभयो । उहाँले मलाई उर्लंदो पानीबाट बाहिर निकाल्नुभयो ।
17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me; for they were mightier than I.
मेरो बलियो शत्रुबाट, मलाई घृणा गर्नेहरूबाट उहाँले मलाई बचाउनुभयो, किनकि तिनीहरू मेरो निम्ति अति बलिया थिए ।
18 They encountered me in the day of my calamity, but Jehovah was my stay.
मेरो कष्टको दिनमा तिनीहरू मेरो विरुद्ध आए तर परमप्रभु नै मेरो सहारा हुनुभयो ।
19 And he brought me forth into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
उहाँले मलाई फराकिलो ठाउँमा स्वतन्त्र राख्नुभयो । उहाँले मलाई बचाउनुभयो किनभने उहाँ मसँग खुसी हुनुभयो ।
20 Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.
मेरो धार्मिकताको कारणले परमप्रभुले मलाई इनाम दिनुभएको छ । उहाँले मलाई पुनर्स्थापना गर्नुभएको छ किनभने मेरा हातहरू शुद्ध थिए ।
21 For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
किनकि मैले परमप्रभुका मार्गहरू मैले पालन गरेको छु र मेरो परमेश्वरबाट दुष्टतासाथ फर्केको छैन ।
22 For all his ordinances were before me, and I did not put away his statutes from me;
किनकि उहाँका सबै धार्मिक आदेशहरू मेरो सामु छन् । उहाँको नियमहरूको बारेमा, तिबाट म भड्केको छैन ।
23 And I was upright with him, and kept myself from mine iniquity.
उहाँको सामु म निर्दोष भएको छु र मैले आफूलाई पापबाट अलग राखेको छु ।
24 And Jehovah hath recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.
यसकारण मेरो धार्मिकताको कारणले परमप्रभुले मलाई पुनर्स्थापना गर्नुभएको छ, किनभने मेरा हातहरू उहाँको आँखाका समु शुद्ध थिए ।
25 With the gracious thou dost shew thyself gracious; with the upright man thou dost shew thyself upright;
कुनै पनि विश्वासीलाई तपाईं आफै विश्वासयोग्य प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ । निर्दोष मानिसलाई तपाईं आफै निर्दोष प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ ।
26 With the pure thou dost shew thyself pure; and with the perverse thou dost shew thyself contrary.
कुनै पनि शुद्ध व्यक्तिलाई तपाईं आफै शुद्ध प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ । तर कुनै पनि बाङ्गो व्यक्तिलाई तपाईं आफै चलाख प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ ।
27 For it is thou that savest the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes wilt thou bring down.
किनकि तपाईंले कष्टमा परेकाहरूलाई बचाउनुहुन्छ तर घमण्डी, अहङ्कारी आँखालाई तपाईंले तल झार्नुहुन्छ ।
28 For it is thou that makest my lamp to shine: Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.
तपाईंले मेरो बत्तिलाई प्रकाश दिनुहुन्छ । परमप्रभु मेरा परमेश्वरले मेरो अन्धकारलाई उज्यालो पार्नुहुन्छ ।
29 For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.
किनकि तपाईंद्वारा नै म बाधालाई नाघ्न सक्छु । मेरा परमेश्वरद्वारा नै म पर्खाल नाध्न सक्छु ।
30 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of Jehovah is tried: he is a shield to all that trust in him.
परमेश्वरको बारेमा, उहाँको मार्ग सिद्ध छ । परमप्रभुको वचन शुद्ध छ । उहाँमा शरण लिने हरेकको निम्ति उहाँ ढाल हुनुहुन्छ ।
31 For who is God save Jehovah? and who is a rock if not our God?
किनकि परमप्रभुबाहेक को परमेश्वर छ र? हाम्रा परमेश्वरबाहेक को चट्टान छ र?
32 The God who girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect,
कम्मर पेटीझैं परमेश्वरले नै मलाई बल दिनुहुन्छ, जसले निर्दोष व्यक्तिलाई आफ्नो मार्गमा राख्नुहुन्छ ।
33 Who maketh my feet like hinds' [feet], and setteth me upon my high places;
उहाँले मेरा खुट्टाहरूलाई हरिणको जस्तै तेज बनाउनुहुन्छ र मलाई उच्च ठाउँहरूमा राख्नुहुन्छ ।
34 Who teacheth my hands to war, and mine arms bend a bow of brass;
युद्धको निम्ति उहाँले मेरा हातहरूलाई तालिम दिनुहुन्छ र मेरा पाखुराहरूले काँसाको धनु झुकाउँछन् ।
35 And thou didst give me the shield of thy salvation, and thy right hand held me up; and thy condescending gentleness hath made me great.
तपाईंले मलाई आफ्नो उद्धारको ढाल दिनुभएको छ । तपाईंको दाहिने हातले मलाई सहायता गरेको छ र तपाईंको कृपाले मलाई महान् बनाएको छ ।
36 Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and mine ankles have not wavered.
तपाईंले मेरो तल मेरो खुट्टाहरूलाई ठाउँ फराकिलो पार्नुभएको छ ताकि मेरा खुट्टाहरू चिप्लेका छैनन् ।
37 I pursued mine enemies, and overtook them; and I turned not again till they were consumed.
मैले आफ्ना शत्रुहरूलाई खेदें र तिनीहरूलाई समातें । तिनीहरू नाश नभएसम्म म फर्किनँ ।
38 I crushed them, and they were not able to rise: they fell under my feet.
मैले तिनीहरूलाई टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारें ताकि तिनीहरू उठ्न सकेनन् । तिनीहरू मेरा खुट्टाहरूमुनि ढलेका छन् ।
39 And thou girdedst me with strength to battle; thou didst subdue under me those that rose up against me.
किनकि युद्धको निम्ति कम्मर पेटीझैं तपाईंले मलाई बल दिनुभयो । मेरो विरुद्ध उठ्नेहरूलाई तपाईंले मेरो अधीनमा पार्नुभयो ।
40 And mine enemies didst thou make to turn their backs unto me, and those that hated me I destroyed.
मेरा शत्रुहरूका गर्दन तपाईंले मलाई दिनुभयो । मलाई घृणा गर्नेहरूलाई मैले निर्मूल पारें ।
41 They cried, and there was none to save; — unto Jehovah, and he answered them not.
तिनीहरूले सहायताको निम्ति पुकारा गरे, तर कसैले तिनीहरूलाई बचाएन । तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई पुकारा गरे, तर उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिनुभएन ।
42 And I did beat them small as dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.
हावाको सामु धूलोझैं मैले तिनीहरूलाई चकनाचूर पारें । गल्लीमा हिलोझैं मैले तिनीहरूलाई फालें ।
43 Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; thou hast made me the head of the nations: a people I knew not doth serve me.
मानिसहरूका विवादबाट तपाईंले मलाई बचाउनुभयो । तपाईंले मलाई जातिहरूमाथि शिर तुल्याउनुभएको छ । मैले नचिनेका मानिसहरूले मेरो सेवा गर्छन् ।
44 At the hearing of the ear, they obey me: strangers come cringing unto me.
तिनीहरूले मेरा कुरा सुन्ने बित्तिकै, तिनीहरूले मेरा आज्ञा पालन गरे । विदेशीहरू मेरो सामु झुक्न बाध्य भए ।
45 Strangers have faded away, and they come trembling forth from their close places.
विदेशीहरू आफ्ना किल्लाहरूबाट थरथर कम्दै बाहिर आए ।
46 Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation,
परमप्रभु जीवित हुनुहुन्छ । मेरो चट्टानको प्रशंसा होस् । मेरो उद्धारका परमेश्वरलाई उच्च पारियोस् ।
47 The God who hath avenged me, and hath subjected the peoples to me;
मेरो निम्ति बदला लिनुहुने परमेश्वर उहाँ नै हुनुहुन्छ, जसले जातिहरूलाई मेरो वशमा पार्नुहुन्छ ।
48 Who hath delivered me from mine enemies: yea, thou hast lifted me up above them that rose up against me; from the man of violence hast thou delivered me.
मेरा शत्रहरूबाट म मुक्त पारिएको छु । वास्तवमा, मेरो विरुद्ध उठ्नेहरूभन्दा माथि तपाईंले मलाई उठाउनुभयो । हिंस्रक मानिसहरूबाट तपाईंले मलाई बचाउनुभयो ।
49 Therefore will I give thanks to thee, Jehovah, among the nations, and will sing psalms to thy name.
यसकारण, हे परमप्रभु, म तपाईंलाई जातिहरूको माझमा धन्यवाद दिनेछु । तपाईंको नाउँमा प्रशंसा म गाउनेछु ।
50 [It is he] who giveth great deliverances to his king, and sheweth loving-kindness to his anointed, to David, and to his seed for evermore.
परमेश्वरले आफ्नो राजालाई महान् विजय दिनुहुन्छ र उहाँले आफ्नो करारको विश्वस्तता आफ्नो अभिषिक्त जन, दाऊद र तिनका सन्तानहरूलाई सदासर्वदा प्रकट गर्नुहुन्छ ।
