Psalms 16
1 Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for I trust in thee.
१दाविदाचे मिक्ताम (सुवर्णगीत) हे देवा, माझे रक्षण कर, कारण मी तुझ्यात आश्रय घेतला आहे.
2 Thou [my soul] hast said to Jehovah, Thou art the Lord: my goodness [extendeth] not to thee; —
२मी परमेश्वरास म्हणालो, “हे परमेश्वरा, तू माझा प्रभू आहेस, माझ्यामध्ये असलेला चांगुलपणा तुझ्याशिवाय काहीच नाही.”
3 To the saints that are on the earth, and to the excellent [thou hast said], In them is all my delight.
३पृथ्वीवर जे पवित्र (संत) आहेत, ते थोर जन आहेत. त्यांच्यामध्ये माझा सर्व आनंद आहे.
4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another: their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, and I will not take up their names into my lips.
४जे दुसऱ्या देवाला शोधतात, त्यांची दु: खे वाढवली जातील. त्यांच्या देवाला मी रक्ताची पेयार्पणे ओतणार नाही. किंवा त्यांचे नावसुद्धा आपल्या ओठाने घेणार नाही.
5 Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.
५परमेश्वरा, तू माझा निवडलेला भाग आणि माझा प्याला आहे. माझा वाटा तुच धरून ठेवतोस.
6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
६माझ्या करिता सिमारेषा सुखद ठिकाणी पडल्या आहेत. खचित माझे वतन सुंदर आहे.
7 I will bless Jehovah, who giveth me counsel; even in the nights my reins instruct me.
७मी परमेश्वराची स्तुती करतो, ज्याने मला मार्गदर्शन केले आहे, रात्रीच्या वेळी माझे मन मला शिकविते.
8 I have set Jehovah continually before me; because [he is] at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
८मी परमेश्वरास नेहमी माझ्यासमोर ठेवतो म्हणून मी त्याच्या उजव्या हातातून कधीही ढळणार नाही.
9 Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope.
९त्यामुळे माझे हृदय आनंदी आहे; माझे मन त्यास उंच करते. खचित माझा देह सुद्धा सुरक्षित राहतो.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol h7585)
१०कारण तू माझ्या जीवाला मृतलोकांत राहू देणार नाही, ज्याच्याजवळ तुझी प्रेमदया आहे, त्यास तू अधोलोक पाहू देणार नाहीस. (Sheol h7585)
11 Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.
११तू मला जीवनाचा मार्ग शिकवला, तुझ्या उपस्थितीत विपुल हर्ष आहे, तुझ्या उजव्या हातात सुख सर्वकाळ आहेत.
