Psalms 15

1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tent? who shall dwell in the hill of thy holiness?

੧ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੇਰੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੇਗਾ? ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth from his heart.

੨ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਚਾਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ, ਨੇਕੀ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮਨੋਂ ਸੱਚ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈ,

3 [He that] slandereth not with his tongue, doeth not evil to his companion, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour;

੩ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨਾਲ ਚੁਗਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਲਾਹਮਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

4 In whose eyes the depraved person is contemned, and who honoureth them that fear Jehovah; who, if he have sworn to his own hurt, changeth it not;

੪ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਕੰਮਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੁੱਛ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਕਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਟਾ ਵੀ ਪਵੇ,

5 [He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.

੫ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਿਆਜ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੈਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਡੋਲੇਗਾ।
