Psalms 15

1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tent? who shall dwell in the hill of thy holiness?

೧ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನಿನ್ನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾರು ಯೋಗ್ಯರು? ನಿನ್ನ ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧಪರ್ವತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸತಕ್ಕವನು ಎಂಥವನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth from his heart.

೨ಅವನು ಸಜ್ಜನನೂ, ನೀತಿವಂತನೂ, ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಸತ್ಯದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುವವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು.

3 [He that] slandereth not with his tongue, doeth not evil to his companion, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour;

೩ಅವನು ಚಾಡಿಯನ್ನು ಹೇಳದವನೂ, ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಾಡದವನೂ, ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ನಿಂದಿಸದವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು.

4 In whose eyes the depraved person is contemned, and who honoureth them that fear Jehovah; who, if he have sworn to his own hurt, changeth it not;

೪ಅವನು ಭ್ರಷ್ಟರನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟವನೂ, ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸುವವನೂ, ನಷ್ಟವಾದರೂ ಪ್ರಮಾಣತಪ್ಪದವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು.

5 [He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.

೫ಅವನು ಸಾಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಡ್ಡಿ ಕೇಳದವನೂ, ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಯ ಕೇಡಿಗಾಗಿ ಲಂಚವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳದವನೂ ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು. ಇಂಥವನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕದಲುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
