Psalms 15

1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, who shall sojourn in thy tent? who shall dwell in the hill of thy holiness?

Psaume de David. Éternel, qui séjournera dans ton tabernacle? Qui habitera sur ta montagne sainte?

2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth from his heart.

C'est celui qui marche dans l'intégrité, qui pratique la justice, Qui dit la vérité telle qu'elle est dans son coeur;

3 [He that] slandereth not with his tongue, doeth not evil to his companion, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour;

Celui dont la langue ne sème point la calomnie, Qui ne fait pas de mal à son semblable. Et qui ne jette pas l'opprobre sur son prochain.

4 In whose eyes the depraved person is contemned, and who honoureth them that fear Jehovah; who, if he have sworn to his own hurt, changeth it not;

Lui-même se sent indigne et méprisable; Mais il honore ceux qui craignent l'Éternel. S'il a juré, fût-ce à son préjudice, Il ne change rien à son serment.

5 [He that] putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these [things] shall never be moved.

Il ne prête pas son argent à usure; Il n'accepte pas de présent contre l'innocent. Celui qui agit ainsi ne sera jamais ébranlé!
