Psalms 147

1 Praise ye Jah! for it is good. Sing psalms of our God; for it is pleasant: praise is comely.

۱ هللویاه، زیرا خدای ما را سراییدن نیکو است و دل پسند، و تسبیح خواندن شایسته است!

2 Jehovah doth build up Jerusalem: he gathereth the outcasts of Israel.

۲ خداوند اورشلیم را بنامی کند و پراکندگان اسرائیل را جمع می‌نماید.

3 He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.

۳ شکسته دلان را شفا می‌دهد و جراحت های ایشان را می‌بندد.

4 He counteth the number of the stars; he giveth names to them all.

۴ عدد ستارگان را می‌شمارد وجمیع آنها را به نام می‌خواند.

5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite.

۵ خداوند ما بزرگ است و قوت او عظیم و حکمت وی غیرمتناهی.

6 Jehovah lifteth up the meek; he abaseth the wicked to the earth.

۶ خداوند مسکینان را برمی افرازد و شریران را به زمین می‌اندازد.

7 Sing unto Jehovah with thanksgiving; sing psalms upon the harp unto our God:

۷ خداوند را با تشکر بسرایید. خدای ما را با بربط سرود بخوانید.

8 Who covereth the heavens with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains;

۸ که آسمانهارا با ابرها می‌پوشاند و باران را برای زمین مهیامی نماید و گیاه را بر کوهها می‌رویاند.

9 Who giveth to the cattle their food, to the young ravens which cry.

۹ که بهایم را آذوقه می‌دهد و بچه های غراب را که او رامی خوانند.

10 He delighteth not in the strength of the horse, he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man;

۱۰ در قوت اسب رغبت ندارد، و ازساقهای انسان راضی نمی باشد.

11 Jehovah taketh pleasure in those that fear him, in those that hope in his loving-kindness.

۱۱ رضامندی خداوند از ترسندگان وی است و از آنانی که به رحمت وی امیدوارند.

12 Laud Jehovah, O Jerusalem; praise thy God, O Zion.

۱۲ ‌ای اورشلیم، خداوند را تسبیح بخوان. ای صهیون، خدای خود را حمد بگو.

13 For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee;

۱۳ زیرا که پشت بندهای دروازه هایت را مستحکم کرده وفرزندانت را در اندرونت مبارک فرموده است.

14 He maketh peace in thy borders; he satisfieth thee with the finest of the wheat.

۱۴ که حدود تو را سلامتی می‌دهد و تو را ازمغز گندم سیر می‌گرداند.

15 He sendeth forth his oracles to the earth: his word runneth very swiftly.

۱۵ که کلام خود را برزمین فرستاده است و قول او به زودی هر‌چه تمام تر می‌دود.

16 He giveth snow like wool, scattereth the hoar frost like ashes;

۱۶ که برف را مثل پشم می‌باراند، و ژاله را مثل خاکستر می‌پاشد.

17 He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

۱۷ که تگرگ خودرا در قطعه‌ها می‌اندازد؛ و کیست که پیش سرمای او تواند ایستاد؟

18 He sendeth his word, and melteth them; he causeth his wind to blow — the waters flow.

۱۸ کلام خود را می‌فرستد وآنها را می‌گدازد. باد خویش را می‌وزاند، پس آبها جاری می‌شود.

19 He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

۱۹ کلام خود را به یعقوب بیان کرده، و فرایض و داوریهای خویش را به اسرائیل.

20 He hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for [his] judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!

۲۰ با هیچ امتی چنین نکرده است و داوریهای او را ندانسته‌اند. هللویاه!
