< Psalms 144 >
1 [A Psalm] of David. Blessed be Jehovah my rock, who teacheth my hands to war, my fingers to fight;
Salimo la Davide. Atamandike Yehova Thanthwe langa, amene amaphunzitsa manja anga kuchita nkhondo; zala zanga kumenya nkhondo.
2 My mercy and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and he in whom I trust, who subdueth my people under me!
Iye ndiye Mulungu wanga wachikondi ndi malo anga otetezedwa, linga langa ndi mpulumutsi wanga, chishango changa mmene ine ndimathawiramo, amene amagonjetsa mitundu ya anthu pansi panga.
3 Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him, the son of man, that thou takest thought of him?
Inu Yehova, munthu nʼchiyani kuti mumamusamalira, mwana wa munthu kuti muzimuganizira?
4 Man is like to vanity; his days are as a shadow that passeth away.
Munthu ali ngati mpweya; masiku ake ali ngati mthunzi wosakhalitsa.
5 Jehovah, bow thy heavens, and come down; touch the mountains, that they smoke;
Ngʼambani mayiko akumwamba, Inu Yehova, ndipo tsikani pansi; khudzani mapiri kuti atulutse utsi.
6 Cast forth lightnings, and scatter them; send forth thine arrows, and discomfit them:
Tumizani zingʼaningʼani ndi kubalalitsa adani; ponyani mivi yanu ndi kuwathamangitsa.
7 Stretch out thy hands from above; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of aliens,
Tambasulani dzanja lanu kuchokera kumwamba; landitseni ndi kundipulumutsa, ku madzi amphamvu, mʼmanja mwa anthu achilendo,
8 Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
amene pakamwa pawo ndi podzala ndi mabodza, amene dzanja lawo lamanja ndi lachinyengo.
9 O God, I will sing a new song unto thee; with the ten-stringed lute will I sing psalms unto thee:
Ndidzakuyimbirani nyimbo yatsopano Inu Mulungu; ndidzakuyimbirani nyimbo pa zeze wa nsambo khumi,
10 Who givest salvation unto kings; who rescuest David thy servant from the hurtful sword.
kwa Iye amene amapambanitsa mafumu, amene amapulumutsa Davide mtumiki wake ku lupanga loopsa.
11 Rescue me, and deliver me from the hand of aliens, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
Landitseni ndi kundipulumutsa, mʼmanja mwa anthu achilendo, amene pakamwa pawo ndi podzaza ndi mabodza, amene dzanja lawo lamanja ndi lachinyengo.
12 That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; our daughters as corner-columns, sculptured after the fashion of a palace:
Ndipo ana aamuna pa chinyamata chawo adzakhala ngati mbewu yosamalidwa bwino, ana athu aakazi adzakhala ngati zipilala zosemedwa bwino, zokongoletsera nyumba yaufumu.
13 Our granaries full, affording all manner of store; our sheep bringing forth thousands, ten thousands in our pastures;
Nkhokwe zathu zidzakhala zodzaza ndi zokolola za mtundu uliwonse. Nkhosa zathu zidzaswana miyandamiyanda pa mabusa athu.
14 Our kine laden [with young]; no breaking in and no going forth, and no outcry in our streets.
Ngʼombe zathu zidzanyamula katundu wolemera. Sipadzakhala mingʼalu pa makoma, sipadzakhalanso kupita ku ukapolo, mʼmisewu mwathu simudzakhala kulira chifukwa cha mavuto.
15 Blessed the people that is in such a case! Blessed the people whose God is Jehovah!
Odala anthu amene adzalandira madalitso awa; odala anthu amene Mulungu wawo ndi Yehova.
