Psalms 141
1 A Psalm of David. Jehovah, I have called upon thee: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.
Ein Psalm Davids. HERR, ich rufe dich, eile mir zu Hilfe!
2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense, the lifting up of my hands as the evening oblation.
Laß mein Gebet dir als Räucherwerk gelten, das Aufheben meiner Hände als Abendopfer!
3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
Stelle, o HERR, eine Wache vor meinen Mund, behüte das Tor meiner Lippen!
4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise deeds of wickedness with men that are workers of iniquity; and let me not eat of their dainties.
Laß mein Herz sich nicht neigen zu bösem Tun, daß ich gottlose Taten verübe im Verein mit Männern, die Übeltäter sind: ich mag nicht essen von ihren Leckerbissen!
5 Let the righteous smite me, it is kindness; and let him reprove me, it is an excellent oil which my head shall not refuse: for yet my prayer also is [for them] in their calamities.
Schlägt mich ein Gerechter: das ist Liebe, und weist er mich zurecht: das ist Salbe fürs Haupt; nicht soll mein Haupt dagegen sich sträuben; denn noch ist’s der Fall, daß für ihre Bosheit mein Gebet erfolgt.
6 When their judges are thrown down from the rocks, they shall hear my words, for they are sweet.
Sind ihre Richter eine Felswand hinabgestürzt worden, so wird man hören, daß meine Worte lieblich sind.
7 Our bones are scattered at the mouth of Sheol, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth. (Sheol h7585)
Wie einer das Erdreich furcht und aufreißt, so sind unsere Gebeine hingestreut für den Rachen der Unterwelt. (Sheol h7585)
8 For unto thee, Jehovah, Lord, are mine eyes; in thee do I trust: leave not my soul destitute.
Denn auf dich, o Allherr, sind meine Augen gerichtet, bei dir such’ ich Zuflucht: gib mein Leben nicht hin in den Tod!
9 Keep me from the snare which they have laid for me, and from the traps of the workers of iniquity.
Behüte mich vor der Schlinge, die sie mir gelegt, und vor den Fallstricken der Übeltäter!
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal pass over.
Laß die Frevler fallen in ihre eigenen Netze, während ich zugleich daran vorübergehe!
