Psalms 135
1 Hallelujah! Praise the name of Jehovah; praise, ye servants of Jehovah,
याहवेह का स्तवन करो. याहवेह की महिमा का स्तवन करो; तुम, जो याहवेह के सेवक हो, उनका स्तवन करो.
2 Ye that stand in the house of Jehovah, in the courts of the house of our God.
तुम, जो याहवेह के आवास में सेवारत हो, जो परमेश्वर के आवास के आंगनों में सेवारत हो.
3 Praise ye Jah; for Jehovah is good: sing psalms unto his name; for it is pleasant.
याहवेह का स्तवन करो क्योंकि याहवेह धन्य हैं; उनकी महिमा का गुणगान करो, क्योंकि यह सुखद है.
4 For Jah hath chosen Jacob unto himself, Israel for his own possession.
याहवेह को यह उपयुक्त लगा, कि वह याकोब को अपना बना लें, इस्राएल को अपनी अमूल्य संपत्ति के लिये चुन लिया है.
5 For I know that Jehovah is great, and our Lord is above all gods.
मैं यह जानता हूं कि याहवेह सर्वश्रेष्ठ हैं, हमारे परमेश्वर समस्त देवताओं से महान हैं.
6 Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, he hath done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps;
याहवेह वही करते हैं जो उनकी दृष्टि में उपयुक्त होता है, स्वर्ग में तथा पृथ्वी पर, समुद्रों में तथा उनकी गहराइयों में.
7 Who causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; who maketh lightnings for the rain; who bringeth the wind out of his treasuries:
पृथ्वी के छोर से उन्हीं के द्वारा बादल उठाए जाते हैं; वही वृष्टि के साथ बिजलियां उत्पन्न करते हैं तथा अपने भण्डार-गृहों से हवा को प्रवाहित कर देते हैं.
8 Who smote the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and beast;
उन्होंने मिस्र के पहिलौठों की हत्या की, मनुष्यों तथा पशुओं के पहिलौठों की.
9 Who sent signs and miracles into the midst of thee, O Egypt, upon Pharaoh and upon all his servants;
उन्हीं ने, हे मिस्र, तुम्हारे मध्य अपने आश्चर्य कार्य एवं चमत्कार प्रदर्शित किए, जो फ़रोह और उसके सभी सेवकों के विरुद्ध थे.
10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings,
उन्हीं ने अनेक जनताओं की हत्या की और अनेक शक्तिशाली राजाओं का वध भी किया.
11 Sihon king of the Amorites, and Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan;
अमोरियों के राजा सीहोन का, बाशान के राजा ओग का तथा कनान देश के समस्त राजाओं का.
12 And gave their land for an inheritance, an inheritance unto Israel his people.
तत्पश्चात उन्होंने इन सब की भूमि निज भाग स्वरूप दे दी, अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल को, निज भाग स्वरूप.
13 Thy name, O Jehovah, is for ever; thy memorial, O Jehovah, from generation to generation.
याहवेह, सदा के लिए है, आपकी महिमा. आपकी ख्याति, याहवेह, पीढ़ी से पीढ़ी स्थायी रहती है.
14 For Jehovah will judge his people, and will repent in favour of his servants.
याहवेह अपनी प्रजा को निर्दोष प्रमाणित करेंगे, वह अपने सेवकों पर करुणा प्रदर्शित करेंगे.
15 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men's hands:
अन्य जनताओं की प्रतिमाएं मात्र स्वर्ण और चांदी हैं, मनुष्यों की हस्तकृति मात्र.
16 They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;
हां, उनका मुख अवश्य है, किंतु ये बोल नहीं सकती, उनकी आंखें अवश्य हैं, किंतु ये देख नहीं सकतीं.
17 They have ears, and they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouth.
उनके कान अवश्य हैं, किंतु ये सुन नहीं सकते, और न उनके नाक में श्वास है.
18 They that make them are like unto them, — every one that confideth in them.
इनके समान ही हो जाएंगे इनके निर्माता, साथ ही वे सभी, जो इन पर भरोसा करते हैं.
19 House of Israel, bless ye Jehovah; house of Aaron, bless ye Jehovah;
इस्राएल वंश, याहवेह का स्तवन करो; अहरोन के वंशजो, याहवेह का स्तवन करो;
20 House of Levi, bless ye Jehovah; ye that fear Jehovah, bless Jehovah.
लेवी के वंशजो, याहवेह का स्तवन करो; तुम सभी, जिनमें याहवेह के प्रति श्रद्धा है, याहवेह का स्तवन हो.
21 Blessed be Jehovah out of Zion, who dwelleth at Jerusalem! Hallelujah!
ज़ियोन से याहवेह का, जो येरूशलेम में निवास करते हैं, स्तवन हो. याहवेह का स्तवन हो.
