Psalms 130

1 A Song of degrees. Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah.

Cantique des degrés. Je t’ai invoqué des lieux profonds, ô Éternel!

2 Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

Seigneur! écoute ma voix; que tes oreilles soient attentives à la voix de mes supplications.

3 If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?

Ô Jah! si tu prends garde aux iniquités, Seigneur, qui subsistera?

4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

Mais il y a pardon auprès de toi, afin que tu sois craint.

5 I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

J’ai attendu l’Éternel; mon âme l’a attendu, et j’ai eu mon attente en sa parole.

6 My soul [waiteth] for the Lord more than the watchers [wait] for the morning, [more than] the watchers for the morning.

Mon âme [attend] le Seigneur, plus que les sentinelles [n’attendent] le matin, que les sentinelles [n’attendent] le matin.

7 Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption;

Israël, attends-toi à l’Éternel; car auprès de l’Éternel est la bonté, et il y a rédemption en abondance auprès de lui;

8 And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Et lui rachètera Israël de toutes ses iniquités.
